23/09/2025: We spontaneously arrived with 15 people and were seated immediately. The welcome was very friendly, and everyone found something good to eat: seafood, antipasti, pasta, fries... Everything was delicious, and the service was attentive and quick.

20/10/2025: A hidden gem, but a 5-star restaurant from Olter. Both for the kindness of the staff and the food and service. The grilled lamb was tender and flavorful. The vegetable and legume soup paired with bruschetta, cheese, and sauces was superb. An experience worth repeating and a must-try for future occasions.

09/10/2025: We stumbled upon this osteria by coincidence during a business trip along the Strada Statale 78 Picena, which leads to Ascoli Piceno. The exterior of "L'Osteria del Castello" is undoubtedly unattractive. From the start, we felt a bit unpretentious. My friend from Naples kept telling me it looked like a restaurant with little character. However, we would soon discover the exact opposite! First and foremost, I'd like to mention the kindness of the owner herself, a "madam" with a big heart, devoted body and soul to her profession! While we waited, she offered us a basket of local walnuts. Later, seeing as the other customers were enjoying their meal for a long time, she offered us a small platter of cured meats and cheeses, along with various compotes to match—a friendly and sincere gesture that was greatly appreciated! To cut a long story short, all the dishes we ate were beautifully presented and of good quality. Quantity is the highlight of this osteria, which I highly recommend for its authentic flavors and the chef's passion. Very fair prices!

12/10/2025: Staying at the nearby Granarola Castle, we decided to have dinner at this place just outside the hotel. We each ordered a first course and a second course, and both were average. The dessert was good. The portions weren't small, but the price was a bit high for the quality.

08/10/2025: As always, Osteria Melograno is a guarantee for quality, kindness, and prices. We went with our little dog and had grilled frittatas and the famous "tagliatelle del diavolo" (devil's tagliatelle). Everything was excellent, even the delicious moka coffee. ❤️ Well done, we'll be back. Fabio

22/10/2025: I've known this agriturismo for many years, and each time I've been treated to countless reasons to return, countless reasons to praise it. It's not so easy these days. It's a place to escape and enjoy an evening in a small oasis of tranquility, just outside the city center. I've always found the quality of the dishes to please the eye and the palate, the fruit of skilled hands in the kitchen and the finest ingredients. Add to this the truly pleasant, friendly service that makes you feel at home, and returning becomes a pleasant necessity.

13/08/2025: We've booked at this agriturismo twice and have always had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is clean and the staff are incredibly welcoming. The restaurant is exceptional, with carefully prepared dishes and generous portions of high-quality food. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, especially the waiter Enrico, who stands out for his kindness, friendliness, and helpfulness.

25/08/2025: During my week in Marotta, I had lunch, dinner, takeout, breakfast in the morning, and a post-dinner amaro in the evening. If I hadn't been so happy, I wouldn't have been there so many times. Spectacular dishes, top-notch staff. Recommended for any time of day.

03/10/2025: The best place to eat in Maremma and beyond. The staff is as exquisite as the menu. Handmade pasta, cheeses, cured meats, and freshly baked tart... all accompanied by red wine and water. The atmosphere is family-friendly, like going to lunch at your aunt and uncle's. A truly pleasant discovery, we'll definitely be back.

10/09/2025: A memorable place... a day of bad weather while we were camping in Tuscany, I set out to find hidden restaurants in Maremma for a good lunch. What can I say? After miles of curves and ups and downs, we arrived at Becagli. Everything was truly excellent: the appetizers included fresh sausage, capocollo, Tuscan raw ham, finocchiona, and cheeses with jams. A trio of first courses included pappardelle with truffles and porcini mushrooms, the best Maremma tortelli, with thin pasta where you can finally taste the filling (we've tried others in other places these days), and gnocchi with porcini ragù. For second courses, we tried ossobuco with porcini mushrooms and roast veal and potatoes, finishing with a cherry tart and tiramisu. Spectacular!! Well done, and keep it up!!! 💪💪💪

29/11/2025: Lunch for two for a quick stop, we ordered a bottle of sparkling water, fried fish, and grilled skewers. The problem? The fried fish consisted of vegetables: zucchini and cabbage, a shrimp, and three octopus. The absurdity, however, lies in the skewers we ordered: Two, and I mean two, placed on the fruit platter, shared. I don't know if you believe this, but the cost was 30 euros. I think it's crazy, no coffee, no first course, nothing at all. Just a bottle of water and two second courses (if that's what we want to call them). You might ask, what's the problem? That we were given a menu on a piece of paper with no prices, so we were blind. Maybe it was a set menu? Who knows, no one told us anything.

21/09/2025: If you want to experience what it feels like to be judged before you even order, this is the place. Having had a very positive impact since my last visit to this place, I decided to bring two of my friends. We went in: one of us went to the bathroom for an emergency, the other smoked a cigarette outside. The owner looked us over as if we'd just robbed a bank. My friend came back because he also needed to go to the bathroom. While my friend and I were looking at the menu, a rude gesture to the temple was sent from the counter, indicating that our friend was "not okay." (Drunk? On drugs? I had to specify that my friend was in the bathroom because I don't think he would have asked us about his mental and physical condition in front of him.) SPOILER: He was doing very well. When I replied, "No, he's fine," he jokingly exclaimed, "OH YES! HE'S SURELY BETTER THAN ME😆😆" But here, you just have to breathe to be labeled. Coincidentally, we were a group of young people in our twenties (maybe we didn't even look that "grown up", but for us that's certainly a compliment) and maybe the owner didn't like the fact that we wanted to drink a beer or some of their customised cocktails with a splash of IPA. I didn't even have time to explain to my friends that they don't serve typical drinks here (I know the specialty here is beer... He can keep it: he's so fond of it that he suggested we look for a cocktail bar. How nice of him, we clearly understood his message. We left disgusted as the owner greeted us with a "thank you ☺️" that sounded more like "thanks for getting rid of your balls." Honest advice: there are truly professional bars just a few steps away. Here they only serve nice, cold rudeness, like the beer I wanted to drink... A real shame, since I have nothing to say about the excellent quality of what's served... REVIEW UPDATE AFTER THE OWNER'S RESPONSE I admit I wasn't aware of my friend's request to smoke inside the establishment. The rule was respected, however, as he finished his smoke and went back inside without a care in the world (had it been the other way around, I wouldn't have dared). (I'll defend him.) Now I ask: have you ever tried taking friends to a different place than usual? As I wrote before, I didn't even have time to explain that they don't serve the usual drinks (like the Pina Colada my friend wanted). We know the internet exists, but I don't think it's mandatory to study every place's menu before entering. From the response, I received this sort of hostility toward my friend, but that doesn't justify the dirty looks my friend and I received without having done anything. (Then, the request to find another place was made to us, too.) We had decided what to order, but after that request, we had no choice but to get up. I love beer, but I don't love it enough to stay in a place after the owner explicitly asks you to "look around and find something else." If for you this is the model of professionalism that 'doesn't label,' then perhaps we have different definitions of the word, given that my friend was more than lucid.

08/11/2025: Those who follow or know me know how impartial my reviews are. I highly recommend this place. I've only had the pizza. Finally, a pizza worthy of the name. Perfectly leavened, perfectly cooked, and with excellent ingredients. Meanwhile, I watched first and second courses pass by, the look and smell of which definitely keep me coming back. Five stars for the staff. A kindness that is rare these days. It's cheap and makes a huge impact. I felt truly at home here.
