26/07/2024: Il fattorino ha sbagliato indirizzo, quando ci ha chiamato per scendere non mi ha dato tempo di dire che non c’era nessuno e ha chiuso. L’ho richiamato e ho cercato di indirizzarlo, niente. Mio marito è stato più di 20 minuti in strada per poter prendere l’ordine. Cibo buono ma freddo

16/06/2024: Entrando si respira profumo di pasticceria. Vetrina bella e ricca. Faccio colazione: cappuccino chiaro con cannella giusto corretto. Brioche al pistacchio insomma. A mio personale gusto, brioche secca, poco burrosa ma sbriciolosq. Prezzi onesti. Personale al bancone gentile. Non è una pasticceria dove parti di casa per andarci! Ma se passi, un caffè ci sta! ( anche se a 1.50€ )

15/08/2024: Pranzo di Ferragosto sulla riva del Ticino in atmosfera piacevole e rilassata...delizioso il crudo di pesce e la parmigiana di mare, assolutamente da provare i tagliolini con gambero crudo e pesto di pistacchio. Esperienza da ripetere!

13/06/2024: I would define it as "tired", good dishes yes, but... the usual ones. Slow service, and there were few guests. Lastly, it's never nice to see staff arguing. It will have been a difficult day... probably.

07/08/2024: Nice place for a refreshing bath, free beach or sunbeds. The only flaw, perhaps I expect too much, but the new management of the bar does not sell ice cream or at least popsicles, which is what one expects, I think

04/08/2024: A dilapidated kiosk on the banks of the Ticino! Whoever manages it doesn't take care to keep clean around the chemical toilets, it's indecent to see handkerchiefs, wipes and finished toilet paper rolls thrown all around, I don't dare think what could have been inside. The sun loungers and umbrellas area is well looked after. The Ticino a little further on is regulated by a lock, so the water does not have a strong current, excellent for bathing, which however is prohibited, not so much because of the danger, but rather because of the quality of the water, not yet registered, as reads the sign. In fact, a bit of everything floats in the water, both leaves and branches as normal, but also pieces of plastic and tattered bags. It is possible to sunbathe or enjoy the cool shade in the shade freely without paying entry, plentiful parking both on the right and left of the road, the one on the river side I assume becomes paid on weekends and public holidays, given how it is organized. For the rest I have seen better places. I strongly advise against it, especially for those with children, given that access to the water is direct as there is no beach that gradually slopes down.

23/08/2024: Located in a splendid and quiet position, a stone's throw from Germignaga and Luino. The second courses were very good and the portions generous, if I have to make a criticism the starter could have been richer. Good service and friendly staff

20/08/2024: We had dinner yesterday. We were 4 adults and a one year old. We are from the area and it is not the first time we go there, I have always found this place adorable, with an excellent quality/price ratio (I would like to understand what people would like to spend less on, even if they dine at home), genuine dishes and a perfect context to spend a cheerful evening. My son was treated with all the possible kindness that can be given when working. I particularly recommend the cheeses that are produced by them. Maybe before spending time being so critical (I'm referring to other comments) we should consider: if it's the season, if it's the weekend, if there's a mess. We should have a little more understanding with others. But everyone has their own personal experience. I recommend it and above all I recommend it to families (in fact it was full).

15/08/2024: Mid-August lunch to forget I ordered the prawns in pink sauce and they were with the shell and sauce on top (never seen it) 4 in number for 12 euros, seafood penne with 3 mussels and a few small pieces of squid for 18 euros if not If I had been in company I would have left after the starter and I won't say anything else

12/08/2024: The difficulties in looking for parking in Sesto Calende are repaid by this location. Huge pizzeria, offers tables outside on the street and plenty of seats inside with air conditioning and inside in a small dehor. Several televisions on the walls. Clean bathrooms. Friendly and professional staff. Zero wait. Quality food and lots of choice. The pizza is always excellent and I plan to taste it again. Good choice and quality of first and second courses between land and sea. Despite the sunny summer, inside you feel like you're in paradise.

30/05/2024: I can understand home cooking and everything you want but if you offer me a dish of Orecchiette with turnip greens.....you can't bring me Orecchiette with soup and prawns.....passing off as turnip greens which is practically white pasta with a sprinkled with something it's not eating better if I go to the burgherking poor workers who eat and are satisfied with the slop they give them I don't think I'll ever go back there again

20/05/2024: I stumbled upon it by chance and it was a nice surprise. Homemade food cooked very well, they have a wide choice on the lunch menu and the family-run staff is top notch. I went back there today as often as I could with my son returning from Milan and as I had already had the opportunity to refresh myself I was once again confirmed that it is a good place. It's the classic trattoria but if you want quality it's a must try.

05/08/2024: Wonderful experience, breathtaking view from the small viewpoint over Lake Maggiore. Excellent food, very friendly and hospitable managers.

04/08/2024: Arrivato in anticipo e senza prenotazione dopo escursione ai Pizzoni di Laveno, mi hanno fatto accomodare e servito lo stesso. Tagliere di formaggi e salumi (avrei preferito polenta e brasato ma la cucina era ancora chiusa) e torta di pane fatta in casa. Cibo buono, personale cortese, prezzi onesti. Attenzione perché carte e bancomat non sempre funzionano.

29/07/2024: TERRIBILE!!! Ci siamo trovati davvero malissimo. Arrivavamo dall'ospedale quindi cercavamo un po' di fresco e una piccola pausa rigenerante. INVECE: Neanche il tempo di entrare e la cameriera ci chiede cosa volevamo ( avevo appena varcato la soglia come caspita faccio a saperlo che non ho manco visto la vetrina ? 🤣 Boh! E partiamo male. Poi ordiamo un cannolo siciliano e una fetta di torta e chiediamo se c'è la crema caffè ( siccome non c'era nessun granitore esposto ). Mi risponde di si allora ne prendiamo due. La tira fuori dal frigo e mi spiega che loro c'è l'hanno così nel brick. Io incuriosita dico che andava bene. La signora tira fuori un brick completamente FINITO e cerca di strizzare l'impossibile dicendo testuali parole "che schifo " perché ne era uscito uno spruzzo. BOH. Apre il brick nuovo fa due creme caffè e c'è le da. Ragazzi non potete capire. Ci sono duecentonovanta gradi percepiti 11 del mattino. La crema era leggermente fresca leggermente...... Ma la crema deve essere fredda signore santo sennò che crema al caffè è?a prescindere da quale prodotto un bar decide di avere. Ma non è finita: anche la torta e il cannolo non erano belli freschi!!!!! Infatti il mio ragazzo non ha finito il cannolo siciliano per paura di stare male(per ricotta fresca ). Siccome era tutto caldo chiedo ALMENO due bicchieri d'acqua fresca FRIZZANTE. La signora mi serve l'acqua fondo di bottiglia che un tempo era frizzante ma era completamente sgasata. Invece per l'altro bicchiere abbiamo avuto fortuna dal cielo ed era fresca e frizzante. La signora nonostante abbia chiaramente visto il nostro malcontento generale in cassa non ha scontato nulla neanche il bicchiere sgasato che gli ho lasciato sul bancone . Penso di non aver ricevuto un servizio così dai tempi dell'oratorio. BASITA!!!! AH e abbiamo speso la bellezza di 14,20 € per una colazione praticamente mezza intoccata. Per l'amor del signore almeno le basi insegnatele però. AH E NON ERA WEEKEND ERA UN LUNEDÌ ci tengo a sottolinearlo..
