14/03/2026: I've been a customer of the Carillon restaurant for years: I've always had a good experience and the food has always been excellent. The customer service was once top-notch, as was the quality of the food. After a few years away, we returned in November 2025 for a family birthday dinner, but unfortunately, we found the place completely changed, and not for the better. Even though we were a large group of people intending to order dishes from the restaurant, we were seated in the pizzeria. The restaurant is divided into two rooms: a more elegant one dedicated to the kitchen and one for pizza. The room we were seated in was cold, to the point of almost having to eat in our jackets, aesthetically unkempt, and the service was decidedly poor. We had hoped to at least rediscover the quality of the cuisine we remembered, but unfortunately, even that has significantly deteriorated. What a shame. A restaurant that I once considered a reference point has now become a place I can no longer recommend.

02/11/2025: We stayed one night in this hotel, a big brother type room, that is, in a hovel with no assistance, paying 85 euros which is not worth it, dirty, plus zero breakfast, I do not recommend it to anyone, oops, dead bugs everywhere, it could close for us!

21/12/2025: It's amazing how they always manage to get orders wrong. If you get takeout, double-check because you end up with small fries when you order the ones with bacon.

26/01/2026: Compared to 15 years ago, little has changed. I stopped by after several years for an aperitif. You can't afford to have cold lasagna and lots of other stuff, but it's of poor quality... the choice is yours.

01/01/2026: Nothing special; the atmosphere is just passable, ordinary, and lacks any attention to style. Disjointed tables and a poor ambiance. Plenty of food, but the quality is mediocre. The courtesy is fake and superficial. I wouldn't recommend it.

03/01/2026: We were there last night, excellent food and service, very nice place, we were a lively group of 9 people, we wanted to apologize to the waiter for the copious figures of 💩

27/10/2025: I've been several times, most recently for my birthday a few days ago. I only tried the pizza, but my friends also tried the polenta with game. Very positive reviews and generous portions. Oh, and there are even donkeys outside!

27/02/2026: A welcoming venue with an indoor dining area (which can be transformed into an "open space" because the large windows can be opened completely) and outdoor tables with classic umbrellas. Currently, given the arrival of cold weather, they've installed heaters and placed fleece blankets on the chairs. One of the advantages of the location is its location in Saronno's pedestrian zone, so the atmosphere is quiet and away from traffic. The brioche selection is wide, with a wide variety of fillings and types (i.e., regular, whole wheat, or whole grain dough). They range from the classic cream, orange, or orange and ginger, to lemon cream, charcoal-based brioche filled with red berries, to small parcels (with hazelnuts, for example), swirls, and vegan charcoal-based brioche filled with red berries...plus, the plain brioches can be filled to order (Nutella is a must, of course, and perhaps, perhaps, requests for two different fillings are granted...😇). In addition to the brioches, you can also enjoy portions of the filled panettone available (chocolate and figs, coffee and chocolate cream... and more). Plus... caramel or Nutella cappuccino... To reach the restaurant, the nearby City Hall parking lot in Piazza Repubblica is close by (a 5-10 minute walk). The menu includes a classic breakfast menu, brunch, and drinks. The staff is very young, in their 30s, and politely welcomes customers.

05/11/2025: It's a real shame if you missed the Farina Café on Halloween. You would have found yourself in a magical atmosphere. Congratulations on the beautiful display that crowned all the goodness you offer. Who knows what surprises await us for Christmas! 😉

02/01/2026: A small but cute place in a fairly central location. Very friendly staff, good coffee.

15/12/2025: He came in to buy a bottle of water for his daughter, then asked if he could get a small pizza from the appetizer counter. The owner responded unkindly, "If everyone does that." She's right, of course, but the way she said it to a 5-year-old... truly speechless. Definitely not recommended.

16/08/2025: Coffee costs €1.50! Staff are unhelpful.

14/08/2025: Excellent aperitif, capable staff and bartender who knows how to do his job... in Varese this is not a given.

19/09/2025: I've never seen such a rude bartender, I had already chosen what to order but my mother hadn't yet, she prepared everything in a hurry and started arguing with my mother for no reason, I wouldn't go back there even if they paid me

19/09/2025: Extremely rude barista. I came in with my son and started to look at the croissant display. There was a wide selection, but I was a bit hesitant. I wanted to take my time choosing, but she was insistent. I pointed this out to her, and she responded very aggressively. She quickly prepared what my son had ordered without waiting for me to be ready to order. I asked if she could give us a tray, and she started yelling at me. I'm not used to leaving like that, but I felt too uncomfortable, so I decided to move on immediately. It's a shame because I work with the public too. I have a lot of respect for other people's work, and I demand the same respect, especially if I enter a place in an extremely polite manner. But then I laugh because she was there, yelling at me like that, telling me to relax, because it was only 7 in the morning. I also see from other reviews that this has happened before. It's a real shame because I chose this bar because it had good reviews and the croissants were really inviting.

05/01/2026: Price not adequate for the service and courtesy

03/01/2026: The owner was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional throughout our entire stay. When we had to leave due to serious illness, the owner refused to refund the prepaid days, not even partially; suddenly, he also no longer understood English. Disappointing, especially considering the price range and the owner's reputation. We're talking about approximately €320 per night. The room and its size also did not match the description; they were significantly smaller. The balcony was simply filthy and unusable. The prices are far too high for this substandard service.

01/03/2026: The coffee was delicious, and the pistachio tart and croissant were also very tasty.

29/12/2025: One word: shame. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is good, but the receipt (pictured) speaks for itself. For a classic glass bottle of juice equivalent to half a glass and a tartlet, you can't afford to spend €9. A completely senseless price tag that only leads to losing customers. Shame.

10/02/2026: Terrible experience. Extremely rude and arrogant staff. The Chinese lady behind the counter looks at customers with obvious annoyance, while the girl is incapable of even greeting or responding politely. Zero professionalism and zero respect for the customer. Absolutely not recommended.

01/01/2026: Historic bar right in the city center where you can enjoy excellent hot chocolate! Highly recommended!
