23/01/2026: A great concept, with a delicious and varied buffet, and very friendly service. Highly recommended! The non-alcoholic virgin colada is excellent, and the tiramisu is incredible.

31/01/2026: We stumbled upon it (the two of us) by chance, having to solve a lunch problem not far from Milan's Central Station. It was very crowded at lunchtime, with many business lunches, I believe. However, they seated us and served us two excellent Milanese cutlets. The staff was very busy, as the place was full, but they were nevertheless courteous, polite, helpful, and efficient. So, kudos to the entire staff.

24/01/2026: We had fior di zucco, truffle ravioli, and Coteletta—everything was delicious. The service was excellent, from everyone but especially Antonio, who took great care of us! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We hope to return!

26/09/2025: Atmosphere: 8/10 Backdoor 43 is one of Milan’s most unusual concepts. You get your own private room for an hour, with full control over the music and a setup that feels like a tiny living room surrounded by whiskey bottles. The intimacy can be a bit awkward for introverts since the bartender is part of your experience the entire time, so the usual social energy of a bar isn’t really present. The whole room functions as the backbar, and seating is fully private. Located along the canal next to MAG Café, the setting outside is vibrant and lively. Drinks: 8/10 Recommendation: BananaVardier The menu is very creative in design with a broad selection. Drinks are good in flavor and balance. Presentation is basic overall, with average glassware, simple garnishes, and straightforward ice. Coasters are nice. Service: 9/10 Service is essentially one-to-one with your personal bartender, making it extremely attentive. Water is provided on arrival. The bartender is both professional and very friendly. Reservations are mandatory, and pricing is average.

03/02/2026: I'm sorry to share this bad experience. I've been going there on and off for 10 years now. I was basically finishing my pizza with work clients, and at 10 pm, the waiter kept making jokes three times, saying, "Tomorrow is Sunday, we have an early Mass, it's time to go home." As long as he did it once, it was fine. Unfortunately, after three visits, and because I recommended the place, I felt awkward around people I work with. The food quality is always okay, but the staff is definitely not.

27/02/2026: My expectations were disappointed. The menu was fairly predictable and the dishes lacked flavor, even though the ingredients were top-quality. The raw seafood is the highlight. The wine list was modest. Prices were quite high, but now in line with Milan's average. The underground parking nearby was convenient.

The ingredients are top-quality, the service is fast, and they're very friendly. The cold cuts, fried gnocchi, and tigelle are legendary!!!
