28/12/2024: An amazing place to enjoy! After a nice road trip we chose la breva for our meal. I really have to comment the atmosphere, it was as if we were in an old times dinning room. The music was just right and every little detail gives you the vibe of the finest thing! The first course puf pastry with mushrooms didn't came up our expectations but the mains were exquisit! We really enjoyed our meal! Thank you!

24/11/2024: È sempre un piacere pranzare a La Breva di Lierna. Atmosfera elegante, ma al tempo stesso accogliente e rilassante. Ottimo cibo, servizio eccellente. Se siete da quelle parti non perdete l'occasione, soprattutto per il pesce di lago.

25/11/2024: the quality/price ratio is really very good, both because the food is good and because the price is not excessively high. Above all, the service is exceptional, not so much in the quality of the accessories (plates, forks or other) but rather in the skill of the waiter who managed to be friendly without being intrusive. Also attentive and helpful. Maybe it was the owner or the owner's son, not I would know. If this were not the case it would deserve even more points.

05/12/2024: Siamo andati al "Crotto Cech" perchè lo conoscevamo di nome ma non avevamo mai avuto l'occasione di provarlo. Il locale, è sulla destra appena entrati nella strada per Dervio; una casetta ristrutturata, molto carina. le sale sono accoglienti e creano una atmosfera intima che il camino acuisce. Il menù risulta una (piacevole) sorpresa; infatti, si trovano piatti della tradizione toscana, ma anche lunigianese e ligure che sono inusuali da trovare in questa zona. Noi abbiamo preso: -testaroli al sugo di funghi (buoni ed abbondanti) -brasato di asino con polenta (molto buono) -trippa alla ligure (squisita e abbondante) -ribollita (ottima) -1 litro di vino rosso della casa (buona qualità che si sposava bene con i piatti) -acqua minerale -2 bicchierini di amaro (gentilmente offerti) totale: 90 euro - prezzo corretto. 24/12/2024: An unexpected closure at our usual pizzeria led to a detour here. Grateful for the heat of the wood fire, and the gracious welcome to our excited two year old, but above all for the very surprisingly excellent pizza, with a quality of dough and vegetables far above the Lecco standard. (The garrulous group of colleagues having a festive pre-Christmas lunch near us had a spread of equally promising looking fare, including some fried pizzas that are now on my to try list.)

05/01/2025: Suggestive location with fireplace and paneling... you feel like you're in the mountains.... everything is really excellent, including bitters, the truly exquisite artisanal licorice. ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY.

22/12/2024: We went here for lunch when we visited Varenna. We expected decent food from the 4.7 rating, but it was even beyond our expectation. We had smoked goose breast and mussel soup for our appetizer, T-bone steak and sea bass fillet as the main courses. Everything was absolutely amazing!

15/12/2024: Quality of the food just barely sufficient: it saves with the mixed grill, but the first courses were almost not passable. The risotto, in addition to being completely overcooked, had a strange aftertaste, covered by an excessive amount of butter and cheese. The mushrooms (which were present in both the risotto and the braised meat) were almost certainly not fresh. I doubt the desserts are prepared by them. Fortunately, the location is worthy, especially if they reserve seats for you in the room with terrace and windows overlooking the lake (pity that in our case there was a very large and noisy company to ruin the atmosphere). Finally, a note of demerit for the service: the waitress was really rude, not to mention the fact that we found some hair on the plate and that the dishes were not changed between one course and another. Even towards the end of lunch he left us the task of marking the desserts on a piece of paper and gave us some plastic cups and bottles to serve ourselves the bitters. All this for the modest sum of €35.00 per person (€30.00 as specified on the menu + €5.00 for wine which was not included).
