18/10/2025: I'd already been there a couple of years ago for Christmas dinner, and the atmosphere was nothing short of magical.
It truly feels like home.
The staff's hospitality and warmth are unparalleled: they immediately make you feel at ease.
They cater to every need, especially for those with gluten intolerance: you can sense their care and professionalism in every detail.
And the food... simply amazing, every dish is a surprise, prepared with the freshest ingredients and so much love. I've never tasted such perfectly balanced and thoughtful flavors.
What struck me most is that they support local businesses and the Slow Food movement.
A perfect experience in every way: service, atmosphere, and cuisine. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special evening.

Everything was delicious, dishes with a taste of the lake and mountains of yesteryear.
A family atmosphere and attention to detail in each dish, we were satisfied!
We will definitely be back.

24/10/2025: I found this restaurant in the Michelin Guide and stopped by for lunch yesterday with a friend. We tried the seasonal forest menu featuring chestnuts. All the dishes were exceptional and beautifully presented. The service from the two ladies, who we later learned were sisters, was perfect. We'll definitely be back!
08/10/2025: First of all, a big thank you to Antonella for her kindness and help! Our room and that of our traveling companion were exactly as shown on the website, beautifully renovated and always clean. I would have liked instant coffee to make myself, in addition to tea. The mattress and pillow were good, but there was only one large duvet (difficult for two people). The bathroom was well-lit (indirectly) and the shower was a good size. I would have liked a shelf in the shower. The view from the breakfast room is sensational! The Italian white bread isn't my taste; I would have preferred the whole-wheat baguette from the restaurant for a change. Alternating between the cured ham and the delicious salami from the restaurant would have been nice, too. Antonella prepares every hot drink fresh, along with various egg dishes and a delicious apple and carrot juice on request. Delicious. The food in the restaurant is truly high quality, but also expensive. In my opinion, however, the price for the cheese clock and the vegetarian lasagna is excessive. The hotel is located high up on the mountain, so you always have to drive to the lake. This is something to keep in mind for the evenings. Nevertheless, we would absolutely recommend the hotel.

05/10/2025: The interior, overlooking the garden, is very pleasant overall, but I would have used fewer fake plants. The dishes are well-prepared. The €4 service charge is really high. The area with animals and a vegetable garden is very pretty.
23/09/2025: I've been to Osteria Il Portico in Monticello and can't recommend it highly enough. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with attention to detail, and a touch of elegance that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff is incredibly kind, always smiling, and ready to recommend dishes and pairings with great professionalism.
The cuisine is spectacular: the freshest ingredients, refined yet authentic dishes, presented with taste and passion. Every course was a surprise, from appetizer to dessert, with authentic and well-balanced flavors. The carefully selected wine list is also excellent.
A place that combines tradition and quality, perfect for both a romantic dinner and a special occasion. I'll definitely be back, because not everyone can find such a high standard!
Congratulations to the entire staff, an unforgettable experience! 👏🍷🍝

10/10/2025: Great restaurant that clearly takes pride in their food. Lovely retro vibe inside. Service old fashioned which I liked. Food was tasty and plentiful. Homemade pasta lovely and fresh, beef carpaccio and salmon tartare were excellent, pork with porcini to die for. Dessert were especially good and lovingly prepared. Wines we tried were superb. Hosts were clearly enjoying hosting which is always a plus. Best in Lierna and not just because of food which is amazing but the whole experience. I went away happy and smiling twice. Grazie mille

15/09/2025: Hidden in a small, forgotten village, we found this fantastic inn. A few well-executed details and a wonderful (and very fast) service team. Traditional prices, priceless view. Truly a wonderful find for mountain lovers.

02/10/2025: After a two-hour climb, you either pass it and don't know what you're missing, or you stop and then... Then you just have to admire the landscape and head back down.
Pizzoccheri, braised beef, porcini mushroom stew, and boiled meat with polenta. Cheeses, sweets, and bitters. What more can I say? It's a must-try.
21/09/2025: I came here to eat with a group of friends. The food was delicious, varied, and plentiful. The service was excellent and the prices were very fair.

19/10/2025: WITHOUT EVEN SETTING FOOT IN THE PLACE.
My boyfriend and I were looking at the menu located at the edge of the restaurant, between the tables and the small square. We kissed (ONE) and continued looking at the menu. The owner, standing outside the door in the distance, arrogantly yelled, "Stop making out, we're working here." We absolutely ran away from this character, and even though we were planning on eating there, it didn't take us two seconds to change our minds.
Some passersby, seeing the scene, started off with a "how to scare people away" argument, and we completely agreed. An unprofessional and unintelligent move. Let's be honest, let's be honest.
18/10/2025: Friendly service, meals in less than 10 minutes. We stumbled upon this place by accident while looking for a good restaurant while visiting Lecco, and it turned out to be a bull's-eye ;)
