03/10/2025: I loved this place! It's cozy, the owner is kind and friendly, and you feel right at home. The food is delicious, homemade, so well-seasoned and filling. It's definitely not light, but fresh and well-cooked. The prices are very reasonable. It's also great that the owner plays music; there are lots of vinyl and CDs, just what serious music lovers like. We'll definitely be back!

11/02/2026: All the reviews said they cater to gluten free but when we got there he said there was only gluten free risotto. This might be because of winter but the guy told us no one further down had gluten free when in fact the next open restaurant had plenty of options.

29/03/2026: I discovered this place by chance while walking past, and out of curiosity, I booked a lunch break for three, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent food, impeccable service, and a fair price. First course, second course, water, a bottle of Chianti, and coffee for €20 per person (without the bottle, it would have been €15). I'll definitely be back.

16/02/2026: We've only tried the business lunch menu. The food is always excellent, with a wide selection. The restaurant is small, but welcoming and quiet. However, we had issues with the bill. Two business lunch menus cost €15 each, plus a coffee and dessert, for a total of €40. The dessert costs €6, so we paid €4 for a coffee! Also, last time, coffee and water were included in the menu. The prices aren't very clear... we were very disappointed, what a shame!

03/05/2026: We went to Il Pescatore Restaurant for lunch without a reservation, and despite it being very busy, the welcome was impeccable. The place was packed, but the staff was incredibly kind: they offered us two glasses of wine while we waited, and soon found us a stunning table for two with a sea view. A simple gesture, but one that really makes a difference. The experience was beyond positive. We trusted their recommendations and started with a tasting of appetizers (six different types), all very good and carefully prepared. This was followed by spaghetti allo scoglio for two: an excellent dish, very fresh fish, and truly well-balanced flavors. The service was always attentive and friendly, from the owner to the waiters, all very helpful and professional. The prices were slightly above average, but absolutely in line considering the quality of the food, the freshness of the ingredients, and especially the seafront location, which is definitely worth the experience. Overall, a very pleasant lunch — recommended 👍🌊🍝

27/04/2026: Stayed in the B&B for two nights and also ate at the restaurant. Both were amazing! The view from the room, just wow!! Very kind owner Patrizia who helped us with everything and Francesco in the restaurant who explained the food and the history behind it. Strongly recommend both’

08/10/2025: A wonderful place with wonderful, helpful, and hospitable staff. The hotel is ideally located, close to the sea and about 15-30 minutes from other beautiful towns. The views from the hotel and rooms are magnificent and picturesque. We were there off-season, so we only managed to use the hotel restaurant once, but we were also able to sample the delicious Italian cuisine. The rooms were clean and well-appointed.

03/08/2025: We stayed at this property at the end of June. The location is enchanting, nestled in the Marche hills with a wonderful view. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Matteo and Martina are not only delightful, but also always available. The restaurant is excellent. Paola and Flavio

02/05/2026: A picture-perfect family dinner overlooking the lake There were four of us, a table reserved, and from the first moment, Ristorante Carillon welcomed us onto a beautiful and meticulously maintained terrace, with a view of the lake that alone was worth the evening. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, perfect even with children in tow. The service? Simply extraordinary. For a restaurant in one of the most touristy locations on Lake Como, the level of professionalism of the staff truly surprised us. Quick, attentive, never intrusive. You could tell they knew what they were doing; every dish arrived at the right time, every request was fulfilled with a smile. That's not a given, and they do it very well here. 🦑 Crispy, very light fried calamari and shrimp with vegetables, served on Kraft paper with lemon wedges and a mayonnaise and fresh chive sauce. Paired with a craft beer on tap, it was a perfect start. 🍝 Zucchini tagliolini, scampi, and shrimp (ordered by the girls, with great enthusiasm!) served in a beautiful ceramic bowl, with a sauce that tasted like it was made with care. They would have had more. 🍕 Good pizza, with thin, well-rolled dough, flavorful tomato, and stringy mozzarella. One of the girls literally polished it off with her hands—the most honest review ever. 🍝 Pappardelle with duck ragù and truffle was the dish that won me over. Fresh homemade pasta, rich and deep ragù, generous truffle shavings on top. 🍰 Dessert: a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and three raspberries, which the older girl swooned over, and a crumble with ice cream that my wife and I fought over spoonful after spoonful. Both deserved applause. The bill is perfectly proportionate to everything: the lakefront terrace, top-notch service, quality ingredients, and refined food. You won't skimp, but you'll return home satisfied and without regrets. Carillon Restaurant is one of those experiences you'll fondly remember. We'll be back. 🌊✨​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

26/04/2026: We just had dinner here and couldn’t be happier. Service was stellar. Food was great. Wine suggestions were spot on. And then they arranged for a taxi up the hill. I would go here every day and twice on Sunday.

12/03/2026: I went in and ordered a cappuccino. I asked the guy serving what croissants he had, and he suggested I get up and see what was available. I got up and ordered a pistachio croissant. I waited over 20 minutes, watching other people's tables being served and cleaned, even though there weren't many people, while my table wasn't being cleaned. One of the guys looked at me and said, "I'm coming," but he never showed up. I wonder why they didn't clean my table and why they didn't serve me, given that people who arrived after me had their tables cleaned and took their orders. It makes me think a lot. I got up from my table and simply thanked them for the bad service... or for the discrimination.

27/04/2026: Below you'll find my old review from years ago. But the other morning I went again with my husband for a coffee, a juice, and a bottle of water. The little table where we decided to sit (for which there's a cover charge!!!!) was dirty and full of crumbs. And it wasn't the only table in that condition. So much so that I had to clean it myself with several wipes. So I told the guys behind the counter. The men were even moderately kind, all things considered. The woman, on the other hand, was downright rude. It's clear she felt guilty, so she started yelling at me, shouting, in front of other customers who were perhaps more indignant than my husband and I. The same other customers who were able to see how dirty the various tables were. One of the contemptuous responses this barista gave me was "you should have sat at other tables" (while yelling, obviously). I pay, I sit where I want. You're working, you have to keep it clean and tidy. I even asked her to speak to the manager, but she yelled at me from the other room that "we don't have time to waste." I, on the other hand, value every euro I spend, especially if it's given to people or places like that who don't deserve a cent. Go read the other negative reviews of the shop; we're all in agreement. Old review: Compared to Capriccio in Grandate, this one in the center is small, the floors are very dirty, and they're very rushed (precisely because it's small and therefore they need people to make room for other customers). High prices. A blueberry juice, 3e.80.

08/04/2026: It's the best place for an aperitivo. We go there often. The staff is very friendly, and they serve delicious appetizers with your aperitivo. I highly recommend it; you'll be very pleased.

10/05/2026: We arrived with 10 people without a reservation. The staff immediately pushed tables together for us and showed us to our seats. Very attentive service. We were even able to watch the pizza chefs at work. The food was fantastic. Whether it was pizza, lasagna, pasta, seafood risotto, beef steak, or dessert, everything was delicious and completely satisfying. The wine and beer selection is also extensive, and they offer wines from local vineyards. Overall, excellent value for money. This restaurant is highly recommended.
