21/03/2025: We stopped for lunch. You enter the restaurant, quite intimate inside a courtyard, and you immediately notice the open kitchen. The tables are comfortable and well spaced. The chef told us that for lunch, in addition to the menu, they offer a fixed-price and reasonable menu. He also specified that in the dishes the black truffle was replaced by mushrooms. Knowing that we are vegetarians, the chef offered to modify the risotto offered on the menu for us. To be appreciated. The menu is not extensive, but it includes interesting dishes. We had the verzini with polenta and mushrooms and the chestnut pasta ravioli filled with pumpkin. The ravioli were good, the verzini excellent. For dessert we had a Scanzo Moscato zabaglione with homemade ladyfingers and fresh strawberries and the memory of a bonnet. Zabaglione made on the spot was decidedly good, the bonnet sublime. Homemade bread basket with focaccia and breadsticks, a bottle of water, a glass of Valcalepio Bianco, one of Custoza and one of Moscato di Scanzo for a total of €107. Very good service with a pre-starter offered by the kitchen. Excellent dishes, nice atmosphere, a restaurant definitely worth trying again. Given the quality, the bill was correct. 5 stars well deserved.

21/03/2025: Perhaps the best lunch we have ever had! Great food is an understatement and the service was first class. Couple that with a warm sunny day and sitting on the outdoor terrace - it couldn’t have been better. We had a spritz and two lovely bottles of wine between 4. The restaurant gave us various complimentary tasting dishes which were all delicious. When I asked for the bill it was way under my expectations at about $100AUD per head - the best inexpensive lunch I’ve ever had - plenty of room for a good tip to the happy staff and owners.

10/03/2025: Every time a fantastic experience, the last time I had dinner with them, guys I ate beef in oil that I can't express in words how good it was, no more, do we want to talk about the desserts? You have to go, you won't regret it and the place is a dream, it's a corner of paradise that as soon as you set foot there you won't want to leave. I forgot one important thing, the welcome, hospitality and kindness of those who manage it are unparalleled, the staff are wonderful, go for a tour and then you'll tell me.

11/04/2025: Non si deve mai giudicare un locale durante il Salone del Mobile (o Milano Design Week se preferite), ma se un ristorante tiene botta durante quella settimana le premesse sono sicuramente buone per tornare a provarlo un'altra volta. E' sicuramente il caso de "Il Carminio". ll locale è molto accogliente, stile minimal ma molto curato, il personale è assolutamente gentile e disponibile. Antipasti molto buoni e vari, primi e secondi piatti interessanti. Lista dei vini di qualità m piuttosto cara, non trovare nulla sotto i 40€ a bottiglia mette un po' in difficoltà. Prezzi alti, qualità non male, da riprovare dopo la fine del MDW, in ogni caso il ristorante merita una menzione d'onore perchè sappiamo tutti che durante il salone del mobile la qualità scende tanto a favore della quantità...

03/04/2025: Super recommended. I had dinner here last night for a business meeting. We took some appetizers to share: delicious Mondeghili, lightly fried and the saffron mayonnaise, a treat perfectly in line with the Milanese tradition. The duck breast is also excellent. And what can I say about the Tonnarello cacio e pepe, mazara del vallo prawns and chopped pistachios? Quality pasta, perfect cooking, generous and creamy creaming, a gourmet portion. Finally, the welcome and service absolutely worth highlighting: friendly, prepared, attentive, without ever being over the top. In the heart of Brera, an address undoubtedly to be kept among the references on Milan.

13/04/2025: Esperienza da rifare! Locazione curatissima e particolare, piena di storia e di ricordi. Ristorante a conduzione familiare, il signor Giuseppe ci ha accolti e accompagnati nella scoperta di un menu dai veri e autentici sapori mediterranei. La cura del cliente unita al buon cibo ci ha fatti sentire come in famiglia. Consigliatissimo a chi vuole passare una serata alla scoperta di emozioni sia culinarie che personali, in una atmosfera informale e avvolgente. Voto 10

09/04/2025: Nos alojamos justo enfrente del bistrot y tuvimos nuestro desayuno para cuatro ocasiones. El café era precioso y los cruasanes eran absolutamente encantadores. Normalmente no los comemos pero estaban justo en la pelota. El ambiente era genial, el personal muy servicial y amable. Sin duda recomendaría este bistrot a cualquiera.
