19/10/2025: The place is nice, but you can't clean a disposable tablecloth with the sponge you use to wipe down the chairs. Let's not even talk about the carbonara with béchamel sauce!! The meat skewer tasted like soap! The mixed fried fish was soggy, and the shrimp were full of eggs! There's a single bathroom for men and women, and it's dirty, too, so it's unbearable! Highly recommended.

15/10/2025: Portions far too small, for far too much money. The burger meat and fries are frozen and poorly prepared. The pasta portion can hardly be called a portion. Very disappointing and a tourist trap. Not to mention the €4 can of Coke.

23/07/2025: Horrible experiencia vine a este restaurante hace 6 sños y tenia un buen recuerdo de la comida y del servicio en esta ocasión la.comida igual excelente, pero el servicio dejo muchísimo que desear Llegamos 7:30pm, pedimos de cenar y empezó a caer un poco de lluvia, pedimos el cambio de mesa y nos dijeron que no estaba lloviendo tanto (teniendo mesas disponibles en otros lugares del restaurante) literal nos ignoraron aún y cuando volvimos a solicitar el cambio de mesa Empezaron a acomodar a loa.comenzales qué llegaban en mesas techadas y nos dejaron porque "no está lloviendo tanto" no vuelvo...

22/07/2025: Sarebbe potuta essere una bella serata. Eravamo un gruppo scolastico con circa 30 persone, tra adulti e bambini, pronti a concludere una giornata speciale con una pizza in compagnia. Avevamo prenotato con anticipo, avvisato tempestivamente di un ritardo di 10 minuti, e ci siamo presentati puntuali a questo locale... o almeno così credevamo. Ad accoglierci non c’è stato un sorriso, una parola cortese o almeno un po’ di comprensione. No. Ci ha accolti il proprietario, che ha ritenuto opportuno cacciarci in malo modo, rifiutandosi di farci accomodare pur con il ristorante praticamente vuoto. Il motivo? Il nostro imperdonabile ritardo di pochi minuti. Nessuna considerazione per la presenza di famiglie con bambini piccoli, nessuna proposta alternativa, nemmeno una sfumatura di educazione. Solo un rifiuto secco, sgarbato e privo del minimo tatto. Non pretendiamo tappeti rossi, ma un briciolo di umanità sì: ci si aspetta che chi lavora nella ristorazione abbia almeno la capacità di gestire situazioni impreviste con intelligenza, educazione e rispetto. Invece qui abbiamo trovato solo rigidità e un atteggiamento ostile, che ha messo in difficoltà 30 persone, tra cui bambini affamati e genitori disorientati. Un consiglio per chi ha bambini, per chi crede ancora nell’ospitalità, o semplicemente per chi non vuole essere trattato con sufficienza e arroganza: voltate l’angolo. A pochi passi troverete locali molto più accoglienti, dove la cortesia non è un optional e dove 10 minuti non bastano per perdere il senso dell’umanità.

31/07/2025: The restaurant owner was very friendly, but unfortunately the food was not up to par. Lack of seasoning, bland, the menu was full of fat. I caught gastroenteritis 2 hours after eating this dish. I will not be back.

25/09/2025: They served me a vegan aperitivo just for me, with sandwiches, crostini, and focaccia—something that, for a Piazza Vittoria that only offers olives and chips to vegans, is a 10-0 deal!! The waitress was very kind and the manager was super friendly (I think).

28/07/2025: Dispiace che questo bar storico, sfrutti la posizione ottimale in cui è a discapito dei clienti… Prezzi altissimi con un servizio davvero minimo. Allego lo scontrino giusto per capire… Senza nulla togliere a Monza e alla struttura in sé …sinceramente prezzi del genere probabilmente neanche vicino al Duomo di Milano… Sinceramente, un cappuccino servito su un tavolino traballante col cucchiaino sporco… 5€ mi sembra davvero una rapina.. Per non parlare del caffè più che ristretto…2,5€.. Credo sinceramente ci sia un limite ad ogni cosa..

27/07/2025: Una può capitare, ma ridando un’occasione a questo bar devo confermare che è terribile il modo in cui si viene trattati. Noi e le persone dei tavoli vicini. All’ingresso non c’è accoglienza, rispondono come se fossero lì a fare un favore, nessuno accompagna ai tavoli. Scortesia dei camerieri non comune, da record. Prezzi folli per qualità nella media. Bocciato per aperitivo, bocciato come caffetteria. Mai più

01/05/2025: Mentre aspettiamo il traghetto, entriamo in questo locale perché a mia figlia serve il bagno. Chiedo un caffè e mi rispondono che non fanno servizio al banco. Chiedo per il bagno e vedo un cartello che dice che bisogna pagare 2 euro per la toilette. Il signore alla cassa mi dice con poca cortesia che posso comprare una bottiglietta d’acqua a 2 euro da pagare però solo in contanti. Davvero un modo poco gentile per accogliere dei turisti!

07/04/2025: Una delle peggiori esperienze mai vissute in un ristorante. l’unica cosa “accogliente” è stato il silenzio glaciale all’ingresso. Nessuno che ti consideri, nessuno che ti accompagni al tavolo: sei solo. O quasi. Perché uno dei gestori si diverte a sparlare alle spalle dei clienti con toni derisori e poco graziati, credendo forse di essere invisibile. Triste spettacolo. Il locale è sporco:, bicchieri con patine strane e precedenti aloni di labbra altrui, atmosfera trascurata. L’insalata marcia sembrava direttamente uscita da un bidone dell’umido. Il menage (olio, aceto, sale) impresentabile: bottiglie unte, olio travasato di dubbia provenienza, lontano anni luce da qualsiasi extravergine. E poi il vino: annacquato, privo di sapore e dignità. Un affronto al palato e al buon senso. In sintesi: qualità inesistente, ambiente sgradevole, comportamento del personale inaccettabile. Un’esperienza da evitare accuratamente; per citare le esatte parole di quando ci siamo alzati dal tavolo da chi era ad aspettare di prendere solo i soldi di quel pessimo cibo: - ci leviamo dalle ........ molto volentieri. Con la speranza che presto possiate evitare di continuare a somministrare porcheria, un caro saluto. Unfriendly staff, dirty glasses, and rotten salad served as if it were fresh. One of the staff members mocked customers behind their backs—completely unprofessional. The olive oil was suspicious, the wine watered down, and the overall quality was terrible. A truly disappointing experience.

07/08/2025: Pranzo pre estivo dello studio, prenotato per le ore 13. chiediamo due taglieri misti formaggio e salumi, ma senza marmellata e giardiniera come indicato sul menù alla carta. Ci arrivano con marmellata e giardiniera entrambi, il cameriere sente il mio commento e viene a toglierle e ci portano a parte un piattino con due ricottine, una mozzarellina, patate lesse e cotto. Fino a qua ci siamo, anche se alcuni salumi erano troppo salati e le mozzarelline poco saporite. Ordiniamo alla carta dando anche un occhio ai piatti del giorno che ci vengono proposti. Ordine alla carta: due paccheri con crema di melanzana, datterino giallo, pane croccante e menta e tre fusilloni di gragnano IGP alla trapanese con stracciatella di burrata del loro caseificio. Arrivano tre fusilloni con sugo di carne e due paccheri al pomodoro e basilico (cioè i piatti del giorno). Lo segnalo al cameriere che si scusa e dice "c'è stato un errore in cucina". Ci presentano su un piatto i dolci del giorno dicendo che uno è finito (toglierlo dal piatto no?). Ordiniamo un tiramisù e una mousse (sottolineo "Mousse") al pistacchio. Arriva il tiramisù (giusto) e una mezza cupola di cemento verdina dove la collega tenta di infilare forzatamente con due mani, perché era durissima, la forchetta. Ci riesce, ma non esce più la forchetta. Chiamo il cameriere e chiediamo un coltello e se per caso è stata tirata fuori dal freezer perché una "mousse" (lo dice la parola) dovrebbe essere morbida, al cucchiaio. Il cameriere risponde che viene dal frigo/freezer, poi dubbioso si allontana e chiede, ritorna e dice "c'è stato un errore" viene dal freezer, ma se vogliamo la sostituiscono con una da frigo, ma ormai la mia collega ha rinunciato a mangiarla. Ci propongono i caffè ma, onde evitare altri "errori" rinunciamo. Mai più grazie.

02/08/2025: Arrivati alle 19:30 io mio marito insieme a nostro figlio di 5 mesi, andati via alle 21 senza aver cenato. Un’ora e mezza di attesa andati via senza cena mentre tutti gli altri tavoli mangiavano nonostante varie sollecitazioni . Nonostante ciò ci hanno fatto pagare le due bottiglie d’acqua e calice di vino . Molto poco consigliato solo per la correttezza dimostrata.

27/09/2025: I recommend the lamb skewers. Beef skewers are chewier, so those with weak teeth would still opt for the lamb. The flavor was quite good, the ingredients were fresh, and the variety and quality of the dishes were excellent. There's one detail I hope the restaurant can pay attention to: when they handed the food over my head, they dripped oil into my hair without a word, and I didn't notice it until I got home. Now my hair smells like barbecue, which is delicious. Thank you 🙏.

18/08/2025: I've never seen a bar charge a cover charge for a couple of drinks in plastic cups on an empty table with an empty napkin holder. It's absolutely absurd. Avoid it.

18/08/2025: Initial availability for a table. Immediately. Mantuan risotto: plain rice with added meat. Very bland, almost tasteless. Pumpkin tortelli were good, but... gourmet portions, meaning very little on the plate. Finally, the thing I don't understand is that I paid €10 for a gin and tonic, when the price list is €8. Later I realized that it's considered "Premium," as indicated on the price list on another page, but NOT REQUIRED. It's not very professional... Gin and tonic served in a small plastic "Forst beer" glass. The same glass we used for two beers for €5 each. Smaller than medium. There's no small or medium beer. "Small" Forst glass for everyone. There's no gin and tonic glass of the right size, even in terms of size. All of this was served without tonic water. I understand that there's no time due to the large crowd. Perhaps it would be better not to offer it at all, or to offer it at "different" prices. I know the restaurant business, and if you can, it's always better to do a little but do it well.

And they are really silly, no offense.. also because 🤣😂😂😂 the place is closing and so they don't care anymore And unfortunately it will close this end of the year .. So avoid making reviews ahahahha... I do it because this place is not only beautiful but I'm sorry that the few remaining Milanese and historic places will close But here 🤣😂😂🤣 it makes me die .. I think that a place that is forced to close because they don't renew the rental contract could unfortunately be less charismatic. Anyway, first of all in life: information. 01/01/2025: I bought 2 bottles of wine and liquor for €50 thought it's nice to support small local shop but obviously I got scammed since the real price is only €20 or even less when I check it online. I wish I read the reviews before I got in. Lesson learned and I hope my review will help other people to not fall for this tourist rip-off scammer shop anymore.

22/09/2025: I absolutely will not return. I'll go further down the road or to the Giulietta restaurant, which is more respectful and professional towards customers. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, I stopped at the Umberto bar for a drink. I was wearing a biker T-shirt that read, "I ADVISE YOU NOT TO TRY A MOTORCYCLE. YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO WITHOUT IT." While I was paying for the drink, the owner, reading what was written on the T-shirt, replied, "YOU MOTORCYCLISTS ARE A DANGER AND THEN YOU GO AND KILL YOURSELF." So, given that we bikers leave money at your place, and you should respect those who leave you money (until Saturday, September 20), and I've been riding for 40 years, I'm 62, and no one has ever dared to judge me, so you should show a little more respect. The service is terrible and the prices are sky-high (the lady next to me paid 2.50 for a glass of tap water). As I said, avoid going there, and instead go further along, as there are other places. Now I understand why the waitresses want to run away to that place.
