14/09/2025: I give two stars for the quantity on the cutting board, the quality is fine... there was a suspicious white stain floating in the cocktail, I didn't drink it but I hope it was spit.

24/08/2025: Yesterday at lunch I went into the restaurant to ask if they had seats and the lady behind the counter was very rude... I said good morning to her twice and she didn't even bother to reciprocate... I asked her again if they had seats and she whispered something that I honestly didn't understand... in the end I got tired and left... speechless...

07/08/2025: Ein wunderbarer Tag geht zu Ende. Die Wanderung von Val die Lei bis Madesimo ist und bleibt und in positiver Erinnerung. Gute Erfahrung in der Rifugio Chiavenna, Alpe Motta usw. Was wir jedoch bei Ihnen erlebt haben ist und bleibt für uns in sehr schlechter Erinnerung. So wir wir vom Kellner (gross/schwarzhaarig, rüppelhaft usw. ) bedient wurden grenzt an Arroganz, Frechheit usw. So etwas gehört nicht einmal in einen Schweinestall. So geht man nicht um mit Gästen, selbst wenn sie erst um 21.30 Uhr - scheinbar war die Küche schon aufgeräumt - ins Restaurant kommen. Pannacotta mit Schokolade anstatt Caramel, Mineral mit anstatt wie bestellt ohne. Ja, das war nur Pinuts. Aber so etwas unfreundliches gehört NICHT in den Service, der macht alles kaputt. Als ich nach seinem Namen gefragt habe hat er mir einen türkischen Vornamen gesagt, Seine Landessprache sei English. Das in Italien. 15/10/2025: I can only agree. The risotto and gnocci tasted of nothing. The seafood platter was okay. Unfortunately, it wasn't value for money.

23/07/2025: Another sad case of getting fooled for not reading the reviews first. A smooth talking waiter lured us to sit at one of the caffe tables. My wife said she wanted an ice cream. He directed her to a window where the ice creams - and the prices - were displayed. She ordered a pistachio ice cream listed at 8 Euro. ( a bit expensive, we thought , but we wanted to treat her) When the bill came, we were charged … 17 Euros. We asked the waiter and he said that 8 euros was the price if we had ordered at the window. As we ordered from him there was another price in another book ( that he told us we should have asked for ???) We travelled to Bolzano and to Merano and never had any such cheap trick pulled on us in any restaurant. For a few extra Euros, do the Dante cafe realize they give a bad name to an entire industry in a certain country ? And the worst of it, they carry the name of the greatest Italian poet. They should change their name to cafe Zanni in order to match their practices.

23/07/2025: Like many reviews on here, we got took by the offers at the table. It is a tourist trap and like others on here took the L offered. But our coke was like 4 cokes normally at $3.50€ each so the $17€ is ok if you can drink 4 cokes…lol. Food was very good (2/3 as mine was ok) but also bit on the add ons offered, another $32€ which isn’t really worth it. And the location was great on the patio looking at a 600 year old castle. If you stay at a regular drink and don’t add garlic toast and cheese the price is the same. Be aware of the upgrades they offer and lunch will be a normal price and of good quality.

11/04/2025: Terrible welcome! Only one waiter is worth saving. And now that they've redone the place, they've also changed the prices. First, aperitifs cost €10 with a drink, which is enough food. Now, €13 if you're not sitting at a table and they give you a drink, two chips, two olives, and some peanuts. Obviously, I'll never go back. Very disappointed.

18/08/2025: Awful food and presentation. Ordered an omelette & a chicken and fries. Omelette turned up (literally) on its own, abandoned in the centre of a huge plate with no side garnish, salad or even a single tomato. Chicken was overcooked and again served with a small portion of fries and no extras. I laughed out loud at the plates and wish I’d taken a photo to upload. It is a shame as the location is great. It’s also a bit dodgy that they’re using the name and logo of a charity on their banking/payment systems.

13/08/2025: Average food for an exorbitant price. Servers are not professional. The caprese is overpriced for 125g of tasteless wine. A disgrace. 9€ for a non-alcoholic beer. Robbery!

15/10/2025: Total lack of courtesy, hygiene (flies on the products), zero choice of lactose-free products. I asked for a pizza without cheese and they removed it by hand. Mini vegan strudel €3.40. Never again.

07/10/2025: The food is of very poor quality

25/06/2025: In the middle of the industrional zone, no shops, cafes or basically anything around for dozens of kilometres. Rooms and the whole hotel smells horrible. Heating or AC was not working. Breakfast was ok.

18/06/2025: Unfortunately, the stay in this hotel was the worst I have ever experienced. The rooms, although reasonably clean, were in a decidedly neglected condition: visible mold in the bathroom, ruined walls, broken desk lamp with no cover. The most serious problem, however, was the malfunctioning air conditioning, absent both in the room and in the common areas, making the stay extremely uncomfortable. The hotel is absolutely not up to the 3-star classification. Breakfast was disappointing: poor quality products and numerous flies, even on the exposed food, due to the high temperature and poor hygiene. For this reason we decided not to risk dinner. Disappointing experience in every aspect.

17/08/2025: 2 piadinas which were good overall, 2 beers and 2 coffees which were also good, but all for a total of €28 which is perhaps a bit high for two people and I would add another flaw: we didn't like the fact that dogs were not allowed.

13/11/2025: HELP! It's obviously a tourist bar that thrives on its reputation, probably from a hundred years ago, but can you only have one bathroom on the second floor within walking distance in 2025? No consideration for the disabled! Furthermore, I ordered a simple sandwich with coppa and mozzarella, and without asking, they reheated it, making it practically an inedible mass of salt. I paid an arm and a leg (€30 for two)... and the coffee was obscene! These places in the center that have been running for years without any energy should be closed down. People go there because they're places to pass through, but a service like this is truly unthinkable in the center of Milan.

12/11/2025: I stopped by for lunch with a colleague. While I understand the obvious understaffing and the staff's high level of stress, the 40-minute wait for a piadina seemed excessive. Furthermore, the piadina arrived without one of the specified ingredients. I hope they can improve their organization in the future.

02/11/2025: The quality-price ratio, in my opinion, is unquestionable. The ingredients are high-quality and the price is super fair. The problem is the lack of clarity when ordering: a long line at the cash register, several lines at the totems where, to order, you are required—and I emphasize required—to already have the little red totem in your hand that vibrates when your order is ready. To retrieve it, you have to dig it out of a box as soon as someone puts it down, creating chaos. The food is very good and the service is quick considering the number of people; the ordering logistics need to be resolved.
