04/04/2025: The pastries are delicious, it's just a shame when you go to breakfast in the morning and you're alone sitting at the tables outside, the girls don't give you a shit... (and it's already happened twice), the first time I waited half an hour and then they came to take the order, the second time I left because I didn't have time to stay there all morning... and it happened even though the place was half empty when I arrived.

09/03/2025: Ho assaggiato davvero una torta di compleanno innovativa con un impatto visivo stupendo oltre alla bontà della Torta stessa. E un piacere che ci siamo ancora aziende cosi serie tornero sicuramente a riassaggiare le vostre produzioni.

14/09/2025: Aside from the location, where you sleep in a very vintage way, the owner was very kind. Upon arrival, she offered us three glasses of good white wine, and upon departure, she wanted to offer us water and some trekking supplies, which we declined, so she gave us a box of sweets instead. We had a delicious breakfast with quality savory options, plenty of Asiago cheese, and a fantastic sweet apple pie and fruit. There was everything; we just had to ask for whatever we wanted and she would bring it. There were five of us, and we had a great time.

29/09/2025: Terrible experience: tagliolini allo scoglio were overcooked and reheated, left uneaten and on my plate. The waitress (very polite and kind) asked why I hadn't finished my order. I calmly explained what was wrong, and in response, the managers' daughter barged in, extremely rude, and didn't apologize, but rather resentfully. She clearly doesn't know how to do her job.

22/08/2025: Just steps from the statue in Piazza Martiri della Libertà. With outdoor seating under the porticoes and a small indoor dining area. A handy stop before heading to the station. The coffee is delicious, and the staff is friendly and courteous. Service is quick, and the place is very clean.

11/08/2025: We've been coming to this establishment for a few years now, where we feel welcomed like friends, not just customers. Giovanna is a special person. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for the sea, relaxation, and a warm welcome.

30/09/2025: It's now a tradition to have lunch with my elderly parents, who adore the food and the owners (so do I!) Excellent food, and the wine selection is top-notch. They're also welcoming to outsiders (anyone above Cadibona), but don't ask for menu changes; you'll eat everything until dessert. 😁

13/09/2025: We arrived after a hike; we only had lunch, not a night's stay. The food was poor, nothing special. I'm used to the home-cooked food at mountain huts, where even with limited ingredients and limited choice, the result is nothing short of excellent, thanks to the fresh, locally sourced produce. This wasn't the case. They clearly use seed oil for everything, not just frying. Let's just say the food wasn't inedible, mind you. Although we did notice that a couple of tables had leftovers. We were still hungry from the hike. For the price we paid, it's absolutely not worth it.

02/09/2025: We haven't been there (and never will). We only called to inquire about price and availability, but since we were so disappointed by the attitude of the lady who answered us, I wanted to leave a review. We called before Ferragosto 2025 and asked for availability for three people, two adults and one child. A room was available for €70. My husband and I talked for a moment, and he confirmed it was fine. At this point, the lady informed us that the room didn't have hot water. We hesitated for a moment (having a small child), but we confirmed it. At this point, the lady told us she'd forgotten, but for the child it would be €20 more. My husband, very polite, asked if, since there was no hot water, he could give us a slight discount, especially since €90 for a refuge (and without hot water) isn't exactly cheap! This was the kind lady's response: "This is a shelter. Don't come, you'll be happier." She was right; we were much happier NOT to come, and if we ever pass by, we'll be careful not to enter the shelter and spend money there. But I'd be happy to thank her for her good manners, looking her in the eye...

22/09/2025: The place is small, but with plenty of outdoor tables. The fried calamari arrived shortly after we ordered it. The fish tasted good, but it was a shame it was very dry.

13/07/2025: Un ritorno un po' deludente a questo ristorante che aspira ad essere di alto livello, e che ho già recensito un anno fa , per una cena con amici: la serata è tiepida, con una splendida luna sul mare. Il servizio è molto gentile e il menu ha alcune opzioni senza glutine. Ma...ma..a mio parere alcuni aspetti vanno decisamente migliorati. Intanto le porzioni sono piuttosto esigue in relazione al costo, i piatti risultano un po' basici e talora scarichi di sapore, anche se la materia prima è ottima. Uno dei commensali ed io ordiniamo l'antipasto di polpo, per me senza glutine : quando ci portano i piatti, poichè sembrano uguali, chiedo conferma al cameriere, che porgendomi uno dei due piatti risponde "PENSO sia senza glutine", per noi celiaci frase da orrore puro, perchè abbiamo bisogno di certezze. Su mia cortese richiesta il giovane cameriereva a a chiedere in cucina e, per fortuna, entrambi i piatti sono gluten free. Ritengo importante che si implementino i corsi sulle intolleranze anche per il personale di sala, onde evitare situazioni di incertezza. Tornando al menu...Il tentacolo di polpo è di medie dimensioni e poggia su una crema di ceci (insapore). Di secondo ordino pesce al sale, un pagello freschissimo che mi viene mostrato a crudo, e che, mi dice il cameriere, pesa sui 600 gr. , quindi un bel pesce. Peccato che quando mi arriva il piatto cucinato, i grammi siano al massimo 180/200, e presentati davvero male: la polpa è "smaciullata" e piena di spine, cosa che francamente trovo inammissibile in un ristorante così ambizioso. Inoltre, pur se buono, il pesce è troppo cotto e quindi risulta stopposo. Mio marito prende il gran fritto di pesce, che a nostro parere di "gran" ha solo la dicitura sul menu. Molto interessante la carta dei vini. Non potendo mangiare dolci, chiedo una coppetta di frutti di bosco (mirtilli, lamponi o fragole), ma non hanno nulla. Spesa: 256 euro x 4 persone, che con lo sconto diventano 240, per due piatti esigui a testa - tranne mio marito che ha preso solo il fritto - due dolci, una bottiglia di vino, un caffè. Abito in zona, ma credo non tornerò, e lo dico a malincuore perchè le potenzialità ci sono.

06/07/2025: Cena molto buona in una bella location, personale molto gentile e disponibile. Ottimi piatti di pesce ben presentati. L’unica pecca le tempistiche, attese un po’ lunghe.

26/07/2025: Come ogni anno è quasi tradizione fare tappa in questo ristorante, dove si viene accolti in modo caloroso, seguiti e coccolati per tutta la durata della cena. Il menù è fisso e di terra ma ogni volta si viene sorpresi da proposte diverse buonissime. Il tutto ben presentato. Consigliatissimo , tutto il personale gentile e premuroso ma un plauso va alla padrona di casa per l’empatia, l’entusiasmo e l’accoglienza riservata agli ospiti.

22/08/2025: Affordable two-star hotel. It's clean, though, the breakfast room is nice and has plenty of options, and the staff is very friendly. The room is small and modest, but not uncomfortable. One issue I had was the very noisy air conditioning. Good location, just steps from the beach and not far from the historic district. Affordable for Alassio.

20/05/2025: As far as I'm concerned, kind and thoughtful, as well as discreet, excellent breakfast and considering that we are in Alassio perhaps a little expensive but not excessive. I asked for a single and then they gave me a double at the same price for reasons not better specified.....
