09/08/2024: I went with my family to this pizzeria restaurant in Bordighera, attracted by what was reported on a site dedicated to local restaurants. We were received courteously and seated. Reading the menu, however, I realized that a large part of the first and second courses, including fish, had an asterisk indicating frozen products. However, we asked the waiter who affirmed the freshness of the fish products. Obviously in a seaside place you expect, at least in this period, to eat fresh fish products. However, what was ordered did not reflect this perspective in the slightest. Indeed, the dishes were not very tasty, poorly presented, but above all, at least to our palate, not very fresh and seasoned with excessive quantities of garlic. The staff were courteous and helpful. The price paid does not reflect the quality of what was eaten. Personally I will not go to this restaurant again. Finally, I would like to point out that the place, which has a good number of seats, was not at all crowded at the time of our arrival, so I don't think it could have been a kitchen problem (linked for example to a large number of orders to be taken care of). ).

27/04/2024: I was really impressed with this restaurant. We asked for a starter which was very good and then immediately served the main course. We didn’t have to wait too long. The bread was fresh and homemade and especially really tasty. There were also different types that we could eat. The pizza was obviously amazing and we got the one with salami which was really good. An Italian classic. Lastly, the price was good for the food that was served.

27/04/2024: The welcome, the service,the setting, and the view are very good. I give it 5 stars because the dishes offered in the half board are very good and classic. The pizza especially is fantastic. Breakfast was good too with things to eat fresh and juicy fruit. Generally speaking, I would say that we discovered the best of the restaurant and the best of Italian food .

13/07/2024: Ottima varietà di pizze, focacce. Possibilità di fermarsi a mangiare sia sul posto, che portare via. Non si smentisce mai. Soprattutto con il servizio Too good to go.

11/08/2024: Excellent wine shop with a nice selection of wines. We ate their platter and appreciated it very much, for those passing through Marostica it is an ideal place for an aperitif

20/08/2024: Excellent value for money, perhaps the best in the area. Seafood dishes cooked in a traditional and tasty way. Lazy service perhaps due to the amount of work, however an extra smile wouldn't hurt.

13/08/2024: We were there years ago, with rather mixed memories this time (summer 2024). This time dinner, 2 people. After sitting down a bottle of water came. With this water and dry bread, we waited about 40 minutes for the menu (which is making the rounds in the restaurant in the form of a(!) wooden plaque). This means that the board is only ever at one(!) table, everyone else has to wait until it is finally their turn. When the plate finally arrived at our table, the service immediately left and we had to wait another 10 minutes. That means it's not just us waiting, but all the other tables who haven't been lucky enough to see the menu yet. Only then were we finally able to order our starters, main courses and wine and hear the sigh of relief at the neighboring table when the long-awaited menu arrived. Rabbit, which I originally wanted to eat, was unfortunately already out. So I spontaneously ordered something else based on luck. Wine arrived after 10 minutes, then another 30 minutes of waiting, this time with dry bread, water and - at least - wine. The starter - Brandacujun - was al dente, peppered with pine nuts, fish could only be guessed at, the taste was okay but by no means outstanding. For me a 6.5 out of 10. The same goes for the one main course - pasta with swordfish. The pasta was al dente, swordfish was in very small pieces and rather rare, but there was a handful of mussels. Here too, the taste is okay but rather reserved. But edible with lots of pepper and a little salt. 7.5 out of 10. The second main course - ravioli filled with vegetables, on tomatoes and basil - was again a disappointment. The ravioli with vegetables tasted almost good - but cooked mercilessly soft. Tomatoes only as a sauce, basil in traces at best. A 5 out of 10. After our meal we ordered two glasses of grappa. These were clearly of the cheap variety and really badly warm, making them inedible. So we left them there. We decided to skip dessert and just ordered the bill. After another 20 minutes the waitress finally came - to apologize. Our order was lost, unfortunately they no longer know what we ate, we should help them out... no problem. After another 30 minutes of waiting, I ran up to the cash register to receive another cheesy apology: they had forgotten that we wanted to pay... The grappa was on the house. But they stayed there too. All in all: poorly organized, waiting times far too long even for Italian habits. The food is mediocre, the prices are as well, although a little too expensive for the service provided. 3 hours for a small, average dinner at best, bill including tip just under 60 euros. You can do it, you don't have to.

12/08/2024: Friendly service, local Italian and homemade cuisine, no frozen foods, very good! Superb view of the sea and the mountains, Beautiful environment!

11/08/2024: Very good place to eat cool in summer with a view of Liguria and the Mediterranean Sea. Simple but delicious dishes, Mr. Robert Redford's secret address if you are lucky enough to meet him when he comes to strut on the Côte d'Azur 😉. We will return.

18/08/2024: Very nice cafe/bar. We had a very good breakfast here and were happy about an extra German menu ;-) so it was easier for us to order. You can sit comfortably outside and everything is lovingly furnished. The waitress was super friendly and accommodating. Despite the heat and language difficulties, always a smile on your face ;-) thank you very much 🤩

20/07/2024: Tipica trattoria ligure non per il cibo che non abbiamo avuto la fortuna di assaggiare ...ma per il carattere ruvido dei gestori : dopp mezzora non ci avevano portato neanche l acqua e c erano 36 gradi !!! Poi ci hanno detto che avremmo dovuto aspettare ancora il nostro turno ! A quel punto ce ne siamo andati

21/05/2024: Finally a good little restaurant where you feel like you're in Italy (deep), everything is homemade hence a little wait (not read for 6 minutes), real fresh pasta made right behind and the Mama always faithful to the post with her husband in the kitchen, it's good, it's homemade, it's Italian, go there without reservation but make a reservation because it's small and quickly full

26/07/2024: If this review was on food alone I’d give it a 4 but one of our waitresses was an absolute horror show! My Italian partner (so you can’t even say it was an issue caused by a language barrier) politely asked for another napkin and set of cutlery as we only had enough for three people and there were four of us, but you would have thought from her response that he’d said something awful to her as she launched into a rant about how the table had been set for enough people and would not be giving us any more cutlery… all I can say is, it may have been set for four but when we sat down to eat there was only cutlery for three people and her reaction was completely unwarranted, left us all shocked and ruined what otherwise would have been a lovely family meal! I can’t say I’d recommend this restaurant to others in case you get this waitress… maybe fetch your own cutlery in case if you want to chance it!
