05/06/2025: Went here with my wife, I am a picky eater and she is a curious one. She had Taglierini Black with Mussels and Clam. I had the Tagliatelle Meat Ragu Bolognese. We both thought are dishes were great, she said the seafood was fresh and the pasta had good taste, while my pasta had good meat and sauce in it which satisfied me. Our waiter was very helpful and quick, he also spoke clear English which helped us as tourists. For dessert we had the Trigusto which was a fantastic dessert, great chocolate flavor and crunch. Wasn't very busy and the music was quiet and calm, setting a relaxing atmosphere. Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area.

01/04/2025: Locale davvero molto carino, personale sorridente e gentile. Aperitivo gustoso e giusto. Il vino bianco era molto buono e più volte ci è stato offerto il "refill" senza ulteriori costi. Devo dire una bella e inaspettata sorpresa, in un contesto dal sapore marino. Assolutamente consigliato!!!

10/06/2025: Chosen based on reviews we had a great time!! Kind and welcoming staff, a good menu and an excellent wine list. We had anchovies with lemon, excellent, lasagne with pesto, very good, grilled squid very soft and tasty with a glass of excellent Vermentino. Strawberries with ice cream and panna cotta. Everything perfect with attentive and precise service exceptional value for money!!! Compliments to all the staff.

10/06/2025: Eating on the veranda under a lemon pergola made the difference but the food did justice to the setting, the pesto lasagnette excellent and the lemon anchovies very tasty... Excellent service and the staff fast and friendly. The excellent lunch gave added value to the day spent in San Fruttuoso. Highly recommended.

16/07/2025: I’ve read all the reviews and had really high expectations about the pizza. Unfortunately, my experience was not that good. We waited the whole hour for our pizza! And there were not so many people, half of the tables inside were empty. When the pizza was served, there was a hair in it. And lastly, I ordered Campagniola pizza which is supposed to be with Gorgonzola cheese but there was no Gorgonzola cheese on my pizza. I was really disappointed. I know for sure they forgot to put this cheese because my friend ordered another pizza with Gorgonzola and it was there on her pizza. It was visible and you could taste it. Unfortunately, no Gorgonzola on my pizza :(

13/07/2025: An authentic, real Italian restaurant with really great thin crust pizza. There are a lot of pizzas on the menu. The staff was 2 when we were there, they speak minimal English, but they understand everything. For us it was one of the best pizzas in Genoa. We recommend it! ☺️

04/05/2025: Sono cliente fisso da anni ormai... ma ogni volta che torno alla Marpea è come tornare a casa. Il cibo è sempre di qualità altissima, oggi per la prima volta ho assaggiato la farinata cotta nel forno a legna, DEVASTANTE. Sempre di ottima qualità le altre numerosissime portate, dagli antipasti al dolce. Servizio premuroso e col sorriso. Conto onestissimo per la qualità e la proposta offerta. SEMPRE I MIGLIORI !!! A prestissimoooo

13/07/2025: We had risotto with shrimps, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti with turts of sea, and spaghetti with modoro. For dessert, profiteroles and panna cotta were delicious. We'll be back.

08/06/2025: Terrible experience, money wasted. We had grilled fish if we can call it that, because for them grilled was 3 prawns and two pieces of uncleaned calamari and mixed fried fish that was not. We ate because when we cleaned the prawns we noticed that they were all black, even the French fries were burnt. The poor waiters didn't even know what they were supposed to do. This place needs a good check by the ASL

08/06/2025: We are not there! There were 6 of us, we entered at 8pm and left at around 11pm. Three hours of constant waiting for farinata (unfortunately poor, tasteless and soft) and then pizzas. Poorly cooked pizza, poor leavening. Decent toppings. Strawberries finished. Pizza chefs arguing among themselves. The poor waitresses, despite doing their best, were completely at the mercy of the disorganization that reigns supreme in this place that has sadly remained in the 80s when people came to eat pizza at the end of the year. I won't comment on the toilet... The final bill was made at random, the result of chaos and orders that were a bit loose and a bit verbal, left who knows where and the manager who in the end passed the responsibility for the delays on the pizza chefs... Which says it all.

24/07/2025: Excellent pizza, even gluten-free, but beware, this place isn't certified, so they cook all the pizzas at once, which isn't good! Even though the gluten-free pizza was in an aluminum pan and covered on top, I had to ask them to put it in the oven on its own... So we didn't have any problems... otherwise, go elsewhere.

19/07/2025: Prenotato alle H20 chiedendo di avere il tavolo fuori. Arrivati con un po'di ritardo (colpa nostra quindi), il tavolo non c'era. Ho segnalato di aver chiesto un tavolo fuori e mi è stato risposto in maniera davvero sgarbata dal responsabile con la giustificazione della pioggia. Per fortuna si erano appena alzate altre persone e ci siamo accomodati. Per dieci minuti circa nessuno ci ha considerato, nemmeno per portare il menù. Alla fine ho chiamato il cameriere per dirgli direttamente cosa volevamo. Per una pizza e un calzone...40 minuti di attesa mentre altri clienti, arrivati mezz'ora dopo di noi, hanno ricevuto le pizze in pochi minuti e prima di noi. Nessuno, dai camerieri al responsabile, ci hanno mai chiesto se fosse andato tutto bene. Per fortuna, almeno, la pizza era buona. Una volta era meglio.

22/07/2025: Just left this restaurant. Never more! We waited for 1 hour for terrible shitty dog food, nobody can believe how spaghetti ala carbonara can look like (and taste like). You can be really proud for your service and pasta you offer for nearly 58 €!

16/07/2025: Even though the place is a bit dated, the food is very good. We especially loved the pizza, cooked in the wood-fired oven, which is simply breathtaking. The fish-based first courses and fried fish were also very good. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and very attentive to their customers. We had a problem with the table setup, but the lady quickly resolved the issue. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.
