30/11/2025: Had a great few beers here. Lovely atmosphere, nice free tapas. Excellent choice in music !!. Bartender was a total professional and all round nice guy. Totally recommend 👌.

23/09/2025: The aperitifs here are truly spectacular! 🥂 The generous portions they bring with your drinks are so generous they practically replace dinner. The cocktails are delicious, carefully prepared, and always perfect. A special thanks goes to Michelle, the kindest and most charming waitress we've ever met: always smiling, attentive, and helpful... she'd almost become one of our family. 💛 Highly recommended, especially if you want to spend a pleasant evening with great food, drinks, and good company!

26/08/2025: We returned after a few years, hoping to try some of the dishes we'd always remembered, like the mussels marinara and the spaghetti with seafood, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. Prices have risen significantly, while the quality has significantly declined: the mussels were too few at €18, while the spaghetti with clams (€20) tasted like nothing, like eating plain spaghetti with no sauce, and half the clams tasted like they'd gone bad. It's a shame, we'll never return.

22/08/2025: I've known this restaurant for years, and it's always a pleasure to return. I recently went with friends and we had a wonderful evening, topped off with excellent dishes (from appetizers to pizzas and focaccias, and even excellent value for money seafood entrees!) and excellent house wine. The owners are friendly and helpful, as is the staff. Highly recommended for an evening filled with an authentic and pleasant atmosphere.

16/11/2025: The meat tasted good, no complaints there. But a restaurant that has the nerve to rip you off with water, coffee, and a cover charge for €3 each is simply ridiculous. A squalid way to take advantage of customers, who, unfortunately for you, aren't all stupid. As for me, I will never set foot in this place again.

08/11/2025: This is really just my personal opinion. I'm sorry, but I can't be satisfied with the disappointing quality/price ratio. Located in a perfect spot above Sestri Ponente, nothing particularly beautiful, but not bad either. 2 rooms with as many seats as they can fit... Traditional set menu. Appetizers with objectively mediocre cured meats, stuffed with Genoese-style vegetables and stuffed with potatoes, which I disliked. The fish salad was flavorless, and the anchovies marinated in vinegar were very good. Good first courses: seafood risotto with pink shrimp, calamari, and mussels, good; Genoese-style ravioli, good. Mixed fried fish with the aforementioned fish, fried well. A slice of apple pie, tiramisu, or panna cotta, okay. The house wine is unpresentable; they only offer two bottles of red wine, one Dolcetto and one Barbera. My bill is €45 per person, plus the cost of wine and water. Of course, I'm used to spending that amount, but given the type of offer, I expected more...

25/08/2025: We stopped by for an aperitivo...a prosecco for €6, a Spritz for €8. Only two fries, poor service, and nonexistent service. Now I understand why it's always empty. Avoid.

24/08/2025: Nice location, but overall the food was average; nothing to write home about, either positive or negative. The price is a bit high for the quality, but you pay for the location.

20/10/2025: Super delicious pizza, good beer (Rosso), delicious tiramisu, friendly and fast service, nice atmosphere—all in all, a great place with fair prices! We'd love to come back.

19/09/2025: I stopped here for lunch, as it was on the way to my destination, but I wasn't satisfied with either the service or the meal. Prices were quite high, the pasta was fresh and well-cooked, but the pesto sauce was bland and bland; I had to add half a bowl of cheese to it to give it flavor. Cover charge was an unreasonable €2.

16/09/2025: You shouldn't pass by if you enjoy delicious, authentic Italian food. From setting the table to the final coffee, they make a real effort to ensure their guests have a good time. A very charming place in Italy… Thank you for the food and the great time!

09/11/2025: Very good! Excellent pasta dishes. Appetizers (fried food or ham) are perfect to start the meal. A friendly and helpful team. A great place to enjoy delicious local specialties.

26/10/2025: Are you in Rapallo and want some fish? DO NOT go to Papisca Mare! Mediocre food (and that's a compliment), very polite waiters, and an arrogant and rude owner. Not to mention the atmosphere: the tables on the street are like those at the bar next to the train station. An experience not to be repeated!

10/03/2025: purtroppo avrei voluto fare una bella recensione, ma x la seconda volta ad un’ora decente (19.15 l’8 marzo scorso una volta e 12 la precedente qualche settimana fa) abbiamo chiamato x prenotare ma… “eh mi dispiace ma stiamo chiudendo… (??) “ e “ no siamo pieni” allora mi affretto a dire… siamo solo due e ci basta un insalata…. e la risposta … da ligure … come solo io che sono ligure capisco… no mi spiace …e niente ….non RIUSCIAMO. mah ok .. ho capito !!siamo alle solite! accoglienza genovese… peccato. credo che non proveremo piu … ho abitato a pra quando prima del porto c’era il mare … quello bello!! ci ho imparato a nuotare … lì davanti…volevo tornarci… anche solo x un pasto veloce. ma credo che non chiameremo più! in bocca al lupo di passaggio!!! 😃🥹

01/03/2025: Home cooking. Overall, the food is good. We're not in the center of Genoa, but if you're nearby (Genova Pra'), it's worth stopping for lunch.

11/10/2025: I was out walking the dogs at Gaiazza and it was getting late, I called and asked if we could eat something... Despite the time and the 4 dogs they told me to go anyway... They were very kind and helpful.. and I ate a delicious plate of trofie with pesto!!!

06/12/2025: Since I was there, I agree with Mrs. Nicoletta's review and respond to what the "owner" wrote: • The 40-minute wait is clearly a sign of poor, if not terrible, organization; • He clearly doesn't speak our language, because the scene is completely different from the polite complaints you were asked; • The fact that we were relaxing is the result of a busy week of work, and this doesn't justify such a long wait; • After 40 minutes, he failed to mention that we were asked what we had ordered, a symptom of the total inadequacy of the service; • The croissants you described as "super-filled" are part of your menu and not the product of momentary fantasies (if you find it that difficult to fill them, I suggest you focus on coffee and little else); • We will definitely take a "KNOWLEDGE TEST" when we internalize this neologism; • We enjoy life, rest assured, regardless of a sea view that isn't unique in the Italian landscape. Finally, believe me, accept constructive criticism, especially when it comes from polite people, because you don't always encounter it.

30/11/2025: A 40-minute wait, three tables served before me, and when I asked for an explanation as to why I'd been ignored, they denied the obvious. I live in Diano Marina, and for a long time I'd wanted to try breakfast at this place, which I've seen inviting pictures of on social media... I was so disappointed, I ordered and waited politely and patiently. I respect people's work, but serving three tables and denying they'd ignored me isn't okay. I politely explained and left, but I won't be returning.

28/08/2025: The restaurant is located inside a campsite, and although there's often music and entertainment, dinner is a relaxed affair. The menu features seafood and pizza. For seafood lovers, this restaurant is addictive, not to mention the desserts. We tried practically the entire menu, including the pizza (we dined there 7 or 8 times in 15 days). The prices are low for the quality and abundance of the dishes. Michele and Rosa are super nice and friendly people, as is all the other staff. We haven't eaten this well in a long time!!!! How lucky we were to meet them at the beginning of our vacation! Top 🔝
