The prices were fair, not too high or too low, but the quality of the food and wine was excellent. The kindness of the staff, which always makes the difference, should not be underestimated. 27/08/2025: It's always unpleasant to criticize a restaurant, especially since the people behind it have my respect. However, I'm expressing my opinion to prevent others from falling into the media trap of a high-profile location. We're at Capo Nord, a very renowned restaurant in Santa Margherita Ligure. I expected much more from this place after reading good things, but evidently not all the reviews are truthful, and our experience wasn't a positive one—quite the opposite! The location is beautiful, with tables positioned on a cliff just inches from the clear water and well-lit at night. Unfortunately, the management of the place isn't up to par, and it shows a propensity for tourists from abroad who are unlikely to return. You'd expect to be pampered in a quiet environment, with some attention and no rush, but instead the atmosphere is noisy, with everyone talking too loudly, waiters and customers alike. There are children running between the tables without the owner or the staff saying anything. The menu offers limited choices, at exorbitant prices that seem excessive for what's actually served. Appetizers and first courses range from 35 to 45 euros per dish, with four covers going for 28 euros (cover charges are now obsolete and banned in some regions). Here, however, they serve you a basket of bread with a sliced michetta (I'll leave it to the reader to decide if that's adequate!) The table setting is good, but the cutlery is sparse. The food is good, but considering the prices, one would expect much more. I hope these insights will lead the owners to rethink the service they offer, either by lowering prices or by raising the overall quality. I'll end with a quote that wasn't mine: customers can fire everyone by simply going elsewhere.

25/08/2025: Lovely place, very romantic atmosphere, shame about the food. The fish fillet wasn't fresh and therefore inedible. As for the service, it was friendly but not up to par with the location, even getting the orders wrong. If I may offer one piece of advice, please pay more attention to the preservation of the raw materials and don't offer them unless they're of good quality.

25/08/2025: Friends accompanied us and it was a real surprise, a typical restaurant, excellent meats and friendly staff! We were supposed to go to the hills and ended up in Cogoleto to have dinner at the butcher's shop! 😂🔝

20/08/2025: Excellent experience. Years later, it remains an excellent butcher shop, with quality meat and competent, experienced staff. The tagliata is a standout dish, a must-try. We'll definitely be back.

13/06/2025: Spectacular hotel, dream location. Large swimming pool available to guests surrounded by a garden excellently cared for by the owner. Room for 4 very large and extremely clean and comfortable. Comfortable beds and very quiet environment. Restaurant for guests only with a well-designed menu and very high quality in the products chosen and in the preparation, with abundant portions. Rich breakfast also in this case with homemade products. Private parking. In short, a truly positive experience, strategic location! Thank you very much, we will be back!

20/05/2025: It's a very nice, small hotel with a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. The people are very friendly and helpful. It has a very nice and clean pool where you can relax. Overall, the complex is simply beautiful. A small breakfast is served in the morning. There's also a restaurant where you can have dinner, although I didn't try it. The rooms are very nice and very clean. Thank you for the time I spent here; I felt very comfortable, and all the best!

15/08/2025: The focaccia is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. We had more than enough for 3 with only 1 focaccia meant for 2! The wine is also very good and the place is lively. A must-do if you are in La Spezia.

12/08/2025: I wanted to give a very negative review of the experience, the staff is not exactly attentive and the service is slow but slow is an understatement, these are not elaborate first courses or anything like that but focaccia in pala, which are a DELICIOUS and this absolutely must be emphasized but they take forever to arrive.... For two palas a 50 minute wait is agony.... Would I go back? I don't know for the focaccia for sure but for the wait certainly not.

02/08/2025: Extremely convivial, relaxed place! Amazing service! The people are just the kindest ever!!! And the food is amazing…. Home made and tasty… but most of all they serve local treasures, totally amazing local beers, grappa, olive oil… locally sourced!!! Must try!!!

12/08/2025: Tried during a day at the beach, the restaurant offers a lovely shaded veranda where you can enjoy lunch al fresco. The mixed seafood appetizer is excellent (honorable mention goes to the very interesting tuna mosciame), followed by spaghetti alla marinara, the restaurant's signature dish, truly delicious in its simplicity, and finishing with seasonal fish and ice cream. Friendly service. Reservations are required. Prices reflect the quality of the ingredients offered.

14/07/2025: We spontaneously stopped by for dinner with two children. We received very friendly service. The portions were huge and delicious.

17/08/2025: We stopped at this place on the waterfront twice, once just for a coffee cream and water. The second time we stopped for lunch and had a great time. We had two salads, two toasted sandwiches, and onion rings. The coffee cream is really good. We recommend it.

05/08/2025: Long live Italy! A magnificent place, a view 🤩 all the way to the Esterel Massif, too bad, next time I'll take some photos. The staff are very professional and the prices are very reasonable for the location and the service. I highly recommend it to all lovers of the coast of the region, to eat and drink at least once.
