01/03/2025: This is a typical local pizza restaurant. As expected from Genoa, the basil pesto was really delicious, and surprisingly, the pasta was just as good as the pizza. The pizza may be a little salty, but you can enjoy it with a drink.

20/06/2025: Disgraceful service! They have these huge “happy hour” signs, we arrived at 5:50 pm. However we were told that “today is no happy hour” even though the huge signs were out. Fraude! Don’t go!

20/06/2025: If you want to be served with monstrous delay, with false smiles from those who will provide you with inedible and inedible food for humans, this is the place for you. Extreme stomach ache after eating what looked like "pancakes" to the human eye. There are some that are worth saving, but the service and the cost of what you eat is beyond all logic. Get something from the first supermarket you find and you will eat immensely better. Avoid like the plague.

18/05/2025: Llegamos corridos por la lluvia y el hambre. Tenian una carta con menues de buen precio. Todos comimos pasta y estaba muy bien. El precio no fue el esperado, quizas no no hayamos hecho entender correctamente que estabamos eligiendo la opcion de "Menu pasta" y no los platos por separado. Solo 1 persona atendia el salon, creo que estaba un poco desbordado.

09/05/2025: Came for lunch on a Friday. Food is just so-so. The bread was old and dry, and the pictures do not match what is served. Service was terrible, took forever.

02/04/2025: Passando per via Balbi in pieno centro storico a Genova vicino alle varie università sono entrato in questo bar caffetteria della nota catena di cucina tipica genovese di bars e caffetteria ben presente in città ed ho preso al banco un ottimo e squisito caffè con un bicchierino di acqua gasata. Il bar è piccolino con tanti tavolini interni nelle varie sale interne ed è frequentato sopratutto da giovani universitari ed è possibile fare colazione ed anche pranzare. Come sempre nei vari locali di Mentelocale il punto di forza è rappresentato da tutto il personale veramente adorabile accogliente sorridente competente gentile cordiale e disponibile. Mon hanno servizio al tavolo credo lo fanno solo a pranzo e quindi bisogna prima pagare e poi andare al banco e fare l’ordinazione. Tornerò un’altra volta per andare a pranzo. Infine i prezzi sono veramente buoni. Passing through via Balbi in the historic center of Genoa near the various universities I entered this bar and cafe of the well-known chain of typical Genoese cuisine of bars and cafes well present in the city and I took an excellent and delicious coffee at the counter with a glass of sparkling water. The bar is small with many internal tables in the various internal rooms and is frequented mainly by young university students and it is possible to have breakfast and also lunch. As always in the various Mentelocale locations the strong point is represented by all the truly adorable, welcoming, smiling, competent, kind, friendly and helpful staff. As always they do not have table service maybe only at lunch and therefore you have to pay first and then go to the counter and place your order. I will return another time for lunch. Finally the prices are really good.

20/04/2025: Let's start with compliments! BEAUTIFUL bar/restaurant/lido, very accurate, very kind and attentive waiter. And now I get to the point, I think the owner is very grumpy, as soon as we entered! If I hadn't embarrassed the people I was with I would have pointed it out to them especially after seeing the constant reprimanding of the waiter in front of the customers (who among other things trotted more than him, and was nicer than him), which was terrible for my tastes, I recommend the owner to treat people as he would like to be treated! And to you waiter, if you read, be strong!

08/06/2025: Da fidati clienti del ristorante affianco, “Il molo”, abbiamo contattato per riservare con 2 settimane di anticipo. Ci presentiamo per la nostra prenotazione, il ristorante sembra diverso, ha l’insegna del molo però.. Il cameriere ci guarda un po’ strano e ci domanda se può essere di aiuto, ci informa che hanno acquisito il Molo e chiedono il nome della prenotazione . Dicono che è già capitato che dei clienti chiamassero il Molo e che le prenotazioni fossero accettate ma non da loro. Ci invitano ad accomodarci che “tanto è uguale”. Guardando il menu di uguale c’è ben poco: la scelta nel menu, la prezzistica, e il servizio. Quando ci allontaniamo, il cameriere si permette di dirci che per spendere più di €100 sono il posto giusto, un po’ offeso dalla scelta di non fermarci e dai nostri commenti. Sicuramente con un accoglienza migliore, la presentazione della carta e un po’ meno di arroganza, avremmo potuto provare la cucina.

03/06/2025: Devo esordire facendo i complimenti alla FEDERICA la ragazza di SALA che è stata a dir poco squisita dopo che c'era stato un incomprenzione non da poco con il titolare (poi scomparso dai nostri RADAR) , il quale non ci ha detto durante la prenotazione che il MENU' era a sè stante rispetto a quello tradizionale con un ricarico di circa il 35/40% perché era una serata con il DJ... Mahhhh.... E cmq lei ha preso in mano la situazione ed ha brillantemente soddisfatto le nostre richieste. ECCELLENTE pacchero, fritto misto molto ben servito, asciutto e di gradevole fragranza, ottimo VINO. Cmq al di la dell'incomprensione posto e cibo OTTIMI.

08/03/2025: Breakfast early on Saturday morning, friendly staff, fast service. Lactose-free cappuccino (I can never find it in Genoa) and the croissants are delicious as always. Advised!

13/06/2025: A disgrace! The owner was condescending, ignored us in the middle of dinner, and we had to leave. If you don't speak Italian, run away. Bordering on racism.

25/05/2025: A boss as unpleasant as can be! He definitely doesn't like the French! No patience! No choice of wine by the glass, only slightly off-white rosé? French people, move on! And unfortunately, we can't say it's good... The setting is authentic, just like the boss! And finally, parking is a mess!

02/05/2025: Small place by the sea, ideal for a quick lunch. From focaccias to Ligurian pizzas. Well made dough, not heavy. Dimensions that fill. Margherita, farinata, focaccia with cheese and many others. Absolutely low prices, which is strange given the times: focaccia 1.70. The one from Recco is very good, soft and tasty (3 euros). All in all, given the price, quality, and quantity I find it to be a fair and good place. To pass by
