07/12/2025: I visited Trattoria Barisone after the recent change of management and was thrilled. The atmosphere is welcoming, with attention to detail, and from the first moment you can sense the new energy and attention to detail. I started with ravioli al tocco, which released an incredibly inviting aroma: a rich, enveloping dish with a simply divine flavor. Next came a delicate swordfish carpaccio, incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, perfect in its elegant simplicity. All this was accompanied by an excellent Lagrein, which perfectly rounded out the experience. The quality of the cuisine, combined with the kindness and professionalism of the service, makes the new management a true revelation. Trattoria Barisone is back, better than ever: highly recommended!

If, however, you're looking for a gastronomic journey that will excite, awaken the senses, and redefine the concept of hospitality, this restaurant is a must-see. ​From the moment you step through the door, you're transported to a timeless atmosphere, where every detail has been thoughtfully crafted, curated, and tailored specifically for the guest. ​🏛️ The Ambience and Hospitality ​The restaurant boasts a refined and elegant design, achieving the challenging feat of being luxurious without being pretentious. The lighting is masterfully designed: softly dimmed on the tables to ensure intimacy, yet perfectly complementing the aesthetics of the dishes. ​The service is the true highlight of the evening. The wait staff moves with the grace and synchronicity of a ballet troupe. ​The highlight: The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, able to explain the story of each ingredient without ever being pedantic or formal. A warm and empathetic welcome makes guests feel pampered from the first to the last minute. ​🍽️ The Gastronomic Journey ​We opted for the 7-course tasting menu with wine pairings, and every dish was a surprise. From niche bubbles from small local producers to a monumental vintage red, every pairing was bold yet spot-on. 💬 Final Thoughts Strengths: Astonishingly high-quality ingredients, plating that resembles a work of contemporary art, impeccable service, and a monumental wine cellar. Weaknesses: Honestly, none. Even the price, while understandably high, is absolutely proportionate to the quality, research, and experience offered.

27/05/2026: Group lunch at this dated restaurant, both inside and out. Perhaps because we were a group, they opted for "poor" and quick cuisine: the appetizer and main course were cold, with only the first course being a good one. One extremely negative note: the restrooms were scandalous: a cramped closet outside (in what should be an outdoor garden) with a folding door. To be forgotten.

03/05/2026: Poor mixed fried fish, resulting in an allergic reaction (to histamine). 1.5 hours of waiting. Bread ran out. They didn't inform us that we were cash-only. Other customers left their tables because their food hadn't arrived, or complained like us about the quality of their dishes. When we expressed our disapproval of the dishes, including the seafood spaghetti, which they refused to bring to the table due to indecency (they said it was unpresentable), the owner (the restaurant's chef) responded rudely and left the restaurant, leaving the dining room staff in distress. We left 50 euros between the four of us for the bottle of wine we ordered and out of respect for the embarrassed waiters.

04/05/2026: I grabbed a Margherita pizza to takeaway from here for just €8.50, and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve had. I took it down to the beachfront and it was so lovely. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Italian food!

09/04/2026: We wouldn’t recommend! We tried the pizza there because it was the only place with a free table. The dough was good but rest was super bland.

22/07/2026: Terrible welcome in July 2026: in previous years, at least the food was pretty good. Two sunbeds for a couple cost €40, and let me start by saying we're not tourists, but we live nearby, so we know the area well. The restaurant, where the food used to be pretty good, was a complete disappointment! We chose a Milanese with fries, but we received a plate with four chicken nuggets, one of which was raw, and four fries thrown on the plate (even at a service station, the food is this bad). The staff was uninterested, but the friendliness and customer service were zero! The only positive thing was the clean sand on the beach, but at 9:00 AM, the beach table was still full of litter and contact lenses from the previous day's guest. Never again!

06/07/2026: Mixed experience. The beach is beautiful, well-maintained, and peaceful. However, it's 40% more expensive. But it's also more upscale. Avoid the restaurant. French prices for bland and uninspiring food. Eat out!

12/08/2026: Pizzeria PappaBuona is truly a hidden gem! I loved the food so much that I came back the very next day just to try more dishes. Everything was delicious and clearly made with great-quality ingredients. The eggplant lasagna was amazing — slightly crunchy on the outside, gooey, rich and absolutely delicious. The fish with vegetables was so light and perfectly prepared, ideal for dinner. And their pizza is fantastic — especially the crust, which is just perfect: light, crisp and never chewy or heavy. I also asked about their ingredients, and they take real pride in sourcing the best-quality mozzarella and prosciutto. You can genuinely taste the difference. The tiramisu was light, creamy and fresh, the perfect ending to the meal. I absolutely love this place. Wonderful food, excellent ingredients and a lovely atmosphere — a real hidden gem that I would happily come back to again and again!

24/08/2025: The current management is scandalous, dirty and smelly bathrooms, expensive food and not even generous portions, shower without water, the only saving grace is the staff which is average, after years of coming here and the worst management I have ever seen.

21/08/2025: Aside from the sea, there's nothing to go for lunch or anything else. The prices are high for what they offer, a run-down place with a dirty and dilapidated bathroom. The managers are rude, and I don't think they even have the excuse of being Ligurian. It's attractive because it's access to the free beach, where they have to provide water for the shower, but the manager tries to obstruct this by keeping the flow to a minimum to save money, or sometimes complaining about system failures. It's a shame.

26/05/2026: Terrible service I ordered a croissant I got a tiny biscuit and I ate it thinking it was a complementary treat while I’m waiting for my order. I asked the waiter what happened to my croissant he told me I ordered the biscuit when I said I didn’t order this they started being rude and charged me 1.2€ for a tiny piece of biscuit I don’t recommend it

22/05/2026: Excellent homemade pastries. I've never had such good raspberry croissants! The ice cream is excellent too. The service is 5-star! I highly recommend it!

06/12/2025: The cappuccino is average, a bit watery. Service is a bit rushed due to the breakfast crowd. Wide selection of pastries and biscuits.

13/11/2025: Terrible experience My visit was truly disappointing. The place is very expensive for what it offers, and the treatment of foreign customers was truly unprofessional. The service is poor, and they show no commitment to treating everyone equally. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for proper service or even a modicum of respect.
