07/09/2025: WARNING: HISTAMINE POISONING‼️‼️ My mother and a friend ate a tuna salad, and both immediately felt ill. My mother was admitted to the hospital in Savona with severe symptoms, and they immediately realized it was poisoning from poorly preserved fish. She later learned that this wasn't the first case. We want to make this known so we can prevent this from happening again.

13/07/2025: Un ritorno un po' deludente a questo ristorante che aspira ad essere di alto livello, e che ho già recensito un anno fa , per una cena con amici: la serata è tiepida, con una splendida luna sul mare. Il servizio è molto gentile e il menu ha alcune opzioni senza glutine. Ma...ma..a mio parere alcuni aspetti vanno decisamente migliorati. Intanto le porzioni sono piuttosto esigue in relazione al costo, i piatti risultano un po' basici e talora scarichi di sapore, anche se la materia prima è ottima. Uno dei commensali ed io ordiniamo l'antipasto di polpo, per me senza glutine : quando ci portano i piatti, poichè sembrano uguali, chiedo conferma al cameriere, che porgendomi uno dei due piatti risponde "PENSO sia senza glutine", per noi celiaci frase da orrore puro, perchè abbiamo bisogno di certezze. Su mia cortese richiesta il giovane cameriereva a a chiedere in cucina e, per fortuna, entrambi i piatti sono gluten free. Ritengo importante che si implementino i corsi sulle intolleranze anche per il personale di sala, onde evitare situazioni di incertezza. Tornando al menu...Il tentacolo di polpo è di medie dimensioni e poggia su una crema di ceci (insapore). Di secondo ordino pesce al sale, un pagello freschissimo che mi viene mostrato a crudo, e che, mi dice il cameriere, pesa sui 600 gr. , quindi un bel pesce. Peccato che quando mi arriva il piatto cucinato, i grammi siano al massimo 180/200, e presentati davvero male: la polpa è "smaciullata" e piena di spine, cosa che francamente trovo inammissibile in un ristorante così ambizioso. Inoltre, pur se buono, il pesce è troppo cotto e quindi risulta stopposo. Mio marito prende il gran fritto di pesce, che a nostro parere di "gran" ha solo la dicitura sul menu. Molto interessante la carta dei vini. Non potendo mangiare dolci, chiedo una coppetta di frutti di bosco (mirtilli, lamponi o fragole), ma non hanno nulla. Spesa: 256 euro x 4 persone, che con lo sconto diventano 240, per due piatti esigui a testa - tranne mio marito che ha preso solo il fritto - due dolci, una bottiglia di vino, un caffè. Abito in zona, ma credo non tornerò, e lo dico a malincuore perchè le potenzialità ci sono.

06/07/2025: Cena molto buona in una bella location, personale molto gentile e disponibile. Ottimi piatti di pesce ben presentati. L’unica pecca le tempistiche, attese un po’ lunghe.

30/09/2025: It was our second time in Genoa, and we decided to return to this restaurant, which we had fond memories of. We were surprised by the negative reviews, but the truth is, they're not wrong. It's centrally located and has a blackboard with the daily specials in English on the door. However, if you go inside and go up to the first floor, there's no way the waitress can explain the dishes available in any language other than Italian; they don't even have a translated paper menu. I remembered the food better, as did the bathroom, which urgently needs maintenance.

27/09/2025: 17 euros for an aperitif is fine... but paying 17 euros for a Coke for a 5 year old girl who obviously hasn't eaten anything seems excessive to me... especially since the week before I spent 10 euros for the same Coke with an aperitif.

18/05/2025: This is an excellent place if you just want to come to enjoy the setting. The music is very soft, and it’s a perfect place to read a book on your own if you are a solo diner. It’s mainly a Pizzeria but also serve some steak as a side option do not under any circumstance or their own Amaro.Its called Basanotto. It’s basically mix between Limoncello washing up liquid and chemical basil. Absolutely revolting.

14/04/2025: Neapolitan pizza with a high (and chewy) crust and a very thin center. Not my favorite type of pizza. Excellent ingredients. Average to high prices. Long wait times.

08/11/2025: A reliable choice in all its simplicity. Pleasant service, very reasonable prices from appetizer to dessert – a little moment of bliss. Before leaving, you can stop by the small bar next door to buy some "michetti" (a sweet treat to accompany a cappuccino, for example) and Swiss chard pizzas – a treat to enjoy when you get home.

26/07/2025: Cené en Angolo 48 recientemente y tuve sentimientos encontrados sobre la experiencia. La comida era buena, con sabores decentes, pero el tamaño de las porciones era decepcionantemente pequeño para el precio. Lamentablemente, el personal fue bastante antipático, lo que restó valor a la experiencia general. Si bien el qual ITy de los platos era sólido, las porciones pequeñas y el mal servicio hacen que sea difícil de recomendar.

26/07/2025: Con mia moglie siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante di cucina tipica ligure elegante raffinato ubicato in pieno centro a Santa Margherita Ligure nella zona pedonale. Ci siamo accomodati in uno dei vari tavoli all’aperto con vista sulla via e ci sono anche tavoli interni. Abbiamo ordinato come antipasti: una insalata caprese con mozzarella di bufala dop pomodoro perle di basilico e verdure grigliate Come secondi abbiamo optato per il pesce con dei calamari fritti ed una orata alla ligure. Ottimo il pane portato a tavola. Ottima la qualità degli antipasti e del pesce porzioni giuste squsito. Personale accogliehte sorridente competente cordiale e disponibile. Servizio attentissimo e veloce e prezzi cari ma giusti per la qualità dei piatti. My wife and I had dinner at this elegant and refined restaurant serving traditional Ligurian cuisine, located in the pedestrian area of Santa Margherita Ligure. We sat at one of the several outdoor tables overlooking the street, and there are also indoor tables. For appetizers, we ordered: a Caprese salad with DOP buffalo mozzarella, tomato, basil pearls and grilled vegetables. For main courses, we opted for fish with fried calamari and Ligurian-style sea bream. The bread served was excellent. The quality of the appetizers was excellent, and the fish was delicious, with generous portions. The staff was welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly, and helpful. The service was very attentive and fast, and the prices were expensive but fair for the quality of the dishes.

08/10/2025: We had lunch as a worker, seeing as other restaurants in the area were closed for vacation. The first course was acceptable, trofie with pesto, but the breaded chicken was embarrassing: it stank, inedible, obviously spoiled. Kudos to the chef with no sense of smell... Shame. NEVER again.

08/09/2025: Excellent place, seafood dishes at reasonable prices. It's definitely not the typical "tourist-spoiling" restaurant we're used to on the Riviera. Excellent service, probably young women fresh out of hotel school, very knowledgeable and diligent. The kitchen staff is also very young but precise and knowledgeable. The place is clean and tidy.

22/08/2025: Affordable two-star hotel. It's clean, though, the breakfast room is nice and has plenty of options, and the staff is very friendly. The room is small and modest, but not uncomfortable. One issue I had was the very noisy air conditioning. Good location, just steps from the beach and not far from the historic district. Affordable for Alassio.

20/05/2025: As far as I'm concerned, kind and thoughtful, as well as discreet, excellent breakfast and considering that we are in Alassio perhaps a little expensive but not excessive. I asked for a single and then they gave me a double at the same price for reasons not better specified.....

11/09/2025: Stepping inside, you enter an incredible world, filled with rooms from different eras and even a bank vault. But it also opens up a culinary experience, with pizzas and other dishes all made with excellent, quality ingredients. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and meticulous. Calling it a pizzeria is an understatement!

22/08/2025: We wanted to have coffee and dessert at 9pm and were very rudely sent away because they only give the tables to dine-in guests... there were 4 empty tables... well, need I say more?!

13/09/2025: Returned several times for their crab fritters! Wish we had this place in our home country.

12/09/2025: When I ask if the shrimp are with their shell the waitress tell me 2 times “no shell no shell” , finally 3 fried shrimp with their shell …. Very disappointed. for 10euro that was a mixt with squid and octopus which were ok. I should have pick the store just next to it, 1 more euro but the shrimp were without theirs shell What is even the point of fried shrimp with theirs shell beside needing a hand wash and eating a cooked shrimp with no fried dough on it … At least the squid/octopus get some fried dough on it …

27/10/2025: "Service was excellent, but my meal was a flop." The waiter was super friendly and seemed to be trying hard. Personally, I found all six dishes served to us (both starters and main courses) to be underwhelming in terms of taste. One of the starters looked exceptionally poorly presented to me. This could have been due to the fact that our visit was just a few days before the end of the season, close to the winter break. I found all six different dishes to be impressive. The portions tended to be on the smaller side.

18/10/2025: We ate there five times in total and tried our way through the menu. It was consistently excellent, and the NY cheesecake is simply amazing! 🤩

21/08/2025: Dated hotel. The room we stayed in was quite run-down, with a half-broken French window, a rusty towel warmer, a blind bathroom with a fan that begged for mercy. The parking lot is a pothole. Breakfast has limited choices and all packaged products. It doesn't justify the price. It's a shame because, on the contrary, the staff is very kind and helpful, and the restaurant area is very beautiful.
