29/07/2026: Truly mediocre ice cream, the worst I've ever eaten: stracciatella flavor without flakes, biscuit flavor without flavor and with chewy pieces, more resembling chewing gum or plastic than a biscuit, Nutella variegated flavor without Nutella.

18/07/2026: 5 euros for a granita that resembled a block of ice mixed with reinforced concrete and I was even polite.

26/05/2026: Terrible service I ordered a croissant I got a tiny biscuit and I ate it thinking it was a complementary treat while I’m waiting for my order. I asked the waiter what happened to my croissant he told me I ordered the biscuit when I said I didn’t order this they started being rude and charged me 1.2€ for a tiny piece of biscuit I don’t recommend it

22/05/2026: Excellent homemade pastries. I've never had such good raspberry croissants! The ice cream is excellent too. The service is 5-star! I highly recommend it!

21/07/2026: No one in this place speaks English. One person calls another another a third, and the third doesn't understand. There's no menu. Something written on the board is incomplete and without prices. They scribble something in front of us. We left.

19/07/2026: A truly terrible experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt neglected: the staff was rude, unhelpful, and completely lacking in customer service. The service was disorganized, and the overall impression was one of a total lack of care. The food was also very disappointing. I ordered mussels marinara: the plate arrived dirty, and the mussels were poorly cleaned, with residue that absolutely shouldn't be present in a restaurant charging this kind of price. The dishes were poorly prepared, and the quality was far below expectations. Furthermore, it's absurd that a restaurant of this caliber doesn't serve wine by the glass, forcing customers to order a bottle even when they simply want to accompany their meal. The bill was significantly too high for the quality of the food and service received. The value for money is truly poor. We expected a pleasant experience, but instead we left extremely disappointed. We won't return, and we don't recommend it.

02/08/2025: at first it was a nice place and was seated outside. Although the service was slow, especially considering the ratio between customer and staff. The shared starter platter was pretty big, infact most portions are big here. Although after starters it took a long time for us to recieve our main courses. The pork was bad and the potatoes were fine. For the pizzas it was mainly okay. The biggest issue was the time between each server interaction. Like i said, very slow service. Portions are filling but you may experience slow service.

24/08/2025: The current management is scandalous, dirty and smelly bathrooms, expensive food and not even generous portions, shower without water, the only saving grace is the staff which is average, after years of coming here and the worst management I have ever seen.

21/08/2025: Aside from the sea, there's nothing to go for lunch or anything else. The prices are high for what they offer, a run-down place with a dirty and dilapidated bathroom. The managers are rude, and I don't think they even have the excuse of being Ligurian. It's attractive because it's access to the free beach, where they have to provide water for the shower, but the manager tries to obstruct this by keeping the flow to a minimum to save money, or sometimes complaining about system failures. It's a shame.

14/10/2025: The ice cream was brilliant and cheap, I would really recommend the melon ice cream, however the cones were not great. Would still recommend.

22/07/2025: Muy buena comida Recomiendo la pasta pesto - sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que el hombre de pie fuera del restaurante con sus gatos tratando de que las mujeres vayan a su lugar diciéndoles que puede cocinar para ellos. Realmente no me sentí el más seguro. . Fue un poco incómodo porque se quedó al lado de la cena al aire libre todo el tiempo.

06/08/2026: With the change in management, the quality has dropped, with frozen fish that's poorly cooked and of poor quality. Poor quality. Small portions, but on the other hand, the prices are those of a quality restaurant. It's a shame that the old management was truly high quality. And Ceriale has lost this too!!!

13/03/2026: I stopped for a quick lunch at Trattoria Rustica, but the experience was terrible in every way. I ordered a first course of pasta with pesto, but there was nothing "rustic" or homemade about it: the sauce looked and tasted like a semi-finished product, acidic and far from authentic Genoese pesto. I then moved on to the second course, a hamburger and fries, and here we descended into the ridiculous: a clearly packaged meatball and, as a side, literally four fries counted on the plate. An embarrassing portion even for a child. The icing on the cake was the cleanliness. The cutlery on the table was encrusted with old grime, a sign of a poorly washed dish. Furthermore, glancing towards the kitchen, the overall impression in terms of hygiene was truly poor. The price was absolutely out of line for what they offer. If you're in Genoa, look elsewhere: they don't even know what quality is here.

13/03/2026: At the end of lunch I wanted to pay by card but it wasn't allowed, plus the toilet was leaking and I had to wash myself.

25/04/2026: Terrible, they even charge for the focaccia tray without telling you. Avoid.

08/03/2026: Sorry, I haven't been to this place in years. I remembered it as a place with very good products. But the pizza by the slice wasn't good at all. Good! I had a really unpleasant onion focaccia. The service was also terrible. I hope it improves.

01/07/2026: Sorry, but I'd give zero stars if I could. The service was incredibly rude, but I suppose they can get away with it if they charge a service charge. The food was average and the atmosphere terrible. But kudos to the friendly chef who smiled nicely when I asked for salt… he was the only one, though.

12/07/2026: And I'm not giving it zero stars because that way I can tell you how awful this café is. I recommend you don't even go in to ask for the time. I speak to him in perfect English, and he still gives me terrible service. I tell him it's not what I ordered, and right in front of me, he angrily throws the contents of his cup and tells another customer next to him, "I can't stand it," thinking I didn't understand 🤦🏻‍♀️. I find it shameful. The customer tells him to be patient, and I reply that if you have a café in the city center, that's what you get. A bitter person who hates their job. Unthinkable to work in the hospitality industry. Anyway, that's how it is. People like that shouldn't be in this line of work.

08/07/2026: We were recommended this place at the cathedral tower ticket office, but we were clearly ripped off. Four euros for a Coke! The employee wasn't just professional, he was downright rude. He didn't even say hello, and he slammed the menu on the bar. Obviously, given that attitude and those prices, we just got some water and left.
