02/09/2025: Yesterday morning, my partner and I stopped by for breakfast. I have to say, it was truly excellent: a slice of apple pie and cappuccino, a brioche with Nutella filling made on the spot, and coffee...all strictly homemade. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and we'll definitely be back.

27/08/2025: I confirm the previous comments: €5 juice, I would dare to add with oranges from the greengrocer NEXT door as they were on their way to buy more (short distance, so all in all); not to mention the rudeness. They don't see me anymore.

05/02/2026: The owner is very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is lovely in Chiavari, and the food is delicious, including gluten-free options.

04/02/2026: A historic osteria in Chiavari, always a pleasure to visit. This last time, I was a bit disappointed by the farinata and the tuna tagliata: the flavor was good, but I personally didn't really appreciate the dishes. For the first time, the service was a bit "lost," with the two main courses served too far apart. It's still a point of reference, however.

06/09/2025: A rather unique campsite, I'd say a bit hippie-esque. Minus points are the train tracks right next to the campsites and the bathrooms, straight out of Harry Potter.

20/03/2026: If you want to get ripped off, go for it. Don't be fooled by the attractive prices. The beautiful sea view isn't enough. The service is impersonal and unpleasant, nothing like the friendly atmosphere and good food we associate with Italian restaurants. The food is poor quality. As for the bill, they do everything very quickly without giving you time to check it. €8 for service and €4 for a bottle of water is fine, but I want to see it on the bill at least!

22/02/2026: We stayed in Portofino at this beautiful place, suspended in time. The restaurant overlooks the marina. The friendly and helpful staff served us promptly. The seafood was fresh and truly delicious. We'll definitely be back.

11/05/2025: Vorrei iniziare la mia recensione dicendo (come ho letto in un altro commento) di diffidare delle recensioni negative! Sono ESAGERATE!!! Abbiamo scoperto Il Ciliegio alla Fattoria San Desiderio quasi per caso… e ce ne siamo davvero innamorati. La location ha un altissimo potenziale: immersa nel verde, con un’atmosfera rilassata e perfetta per le famiglie. La presenza degli animali è un valore aggiunto, anche se — va detto — le stalle potrebbero essere mantenute con maggiore cura e pulizia. Abbiamo visto , asini, mucche, capre, un cinghiale e un maiale…e un gufo reale è stata una sorpresa meravigliosa! Aggiungo che con un euro compri carote da dare agli animali… E un parco avventura molto bello per i bambini più grandi! Il cibo è semplice ma genuino e servito con cortesia. Si percepisce la passione di chi lavora con impegno ogni giorno. Il menù fisso comprende due primi, un secondo con contorno, antipasto, dolce, bevande e vino: 30 euro per gli adulti, 15 i bambini, un prezzo onestissimo per quanto offerto e per la qualità. L’unica nota un po’ meno convincente è stata la carne, che comunque resta mangiabile. Il servizio è lento ma ti puoi godere la giornata e i bambini possono spezzare il momento del pasto con qualche pausa, secondo me iniziando all’una abbiamo finito alle 15/15.30 ma comprensibilmente: il personale è ridotto e fa davvero del suo meglio. Ultima osservazione secondo me potreste investire nell’acquisto di seggioloni Ikea a poco prezzo25 euro circa o usati ne vendono tantissimi… (Gli e***ril per esempio che sicuramente non è un locale per bambini ne avrà più di 20🤣🤣🤣 .. ) Noi sapevamo che non c’erano e quindi lo abbiamo portato… non costa niente perché la strada è veramente cinque minuti a piedi! Ma mi sentivo di dirvelo… In conclusione, Il Ciliegio non merita affatto certe critiche severe. Anzi: torneremo sicuramente!

11/05/2025: We came for Women's Day. We've been here several times and the welcome is truly family-like. The staff is kind and helpful. The wait is reasonable and understandable. The food is good and simple. Perfect place to relax, whether you're with your family or not. Ideal for children. Gorgeous animals!!!

31/10/2025: I was passing by for a business lunch. I looked at the menu and chose gnocchi with pesto. I asked the waiter if the pesto was made locally, and he said absolutely yes... "I'll start by saying, being Genoese, I know the product and its ingredients very well." For the main course, a stewed stockfish with potatoes. I noticed a cheap, industrial pesto with a lot of non-EVOO, so I asked the waiter again if he was sure it was their own, and he confirmed his previous answer (by the way, I found a plastic filament in the sauce and mentioned it). The stewed stockfish arrived... (a simple dish to prepare) no comment!!!! The dish was equally poorly prepared. A place where attention to cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Expensive given the poor quality of the ingredients. I wouldn't recommend it even to those who are passing by. Better to have a toasted sandwich or a sandwich!!!

13/09/2025: Rustica Trattoria never disappoints, truly excellent cuisine, fixed price at €12. Freshly caught sea bream, Ligurian style.

16/09/2025: €23 for a beer and a pizza, with a service charge of €2. A high price for the contents brought in. It's written in tiny print on the menu. Fraudulent service. I'll never come back.

12/09/2025: 12/09/2025 We were very disappointed with our meal at La Pitonetta. The prices are high for the quality — the pizzas were completely lacking in flavor. The worst: the waiter was extremely rude, didn't even say hello and seemed reluctant to do his job. When I politely asked to replace a Coke can with a broken tab, he told me "there's nothing I can do" — while other restaurants change the can without a problem. I had to open it with a knife, which was dangerous. Overall, bad experience — would not recommend. We were very disappointed with our meal at La Pitonetta. The prices are high for the quality — the pizzas were completely bland. The worst thing: the waiter was extremely rude, he didn't even answer the greeting and seemed to work against his will. When I politely asked to replace a Coca-Cola can with a broken tongue, he replied "I can't do anything" — while in other restaurants they change it without any problems. I had to open it with a knife, risking hurting myself. Overall negative experience — do not recommend.

01/01/2026: I'm very puzzled by the comments I've just seen about this establishment. My wife and I had a wonderful time there. The waitress was very friendly, and the chef checked with us several times to make sure we were happy and that everything was alright. The food was excellent, especially the pasta carbonara.

21/02/2026: A very small portion of lasagna with absolutely nothing else: €12. Ravioli al ragù... no comment, €12. Caprese salad: one tomato and half a mozzarella ball: €10. Tagliatelle carbonara, the only dish that was even remotely reasonable: €12, plus €2.50 for cutlery and bread, per person of course. Aperol Spritz: €7.50, a very standard glass and far from being particularly good compared to others we've tasted in the same region. But the staff were very pleasant! Do not recommend at all, not at all, NOT AT ALL.

25/01/2026: Small size is 10 euros. The portion is bigger than I thought. It was raining and there were no people, so the atmosphere made it even more delicious. The staff was also friendly. You should definitely try it.
