13/09/2025: A very cute and well-decorated place on a charming street in Finalborgo. We sat inside and felt like we'd been transported to an American saloon; the fold-out wooden chairs are definitely a nice touch, although I thought they were too low to sit comfortably. We ordered a Fassona burger and a piadina with chicken cutlet. The food was good, and we enjoyed it. The only downside was the tart, which resembles a cheesecake but has a crumbly texture and is a bit strange on the palate. The waitress was very kind and helpful, although the service was a bit slow and at times fleeting. All in all, a good lunch in a historic setting.

N’y allais pas la gérante très vulgaire et agressive nous a insulté en italien parce qu’un enfant de 4 ans a sali ses couverts et nous les a fait payer… la nourriture etait très médiocres et les fruits de mer pas frais … vraiment trees choquant et très mauvaise expérience… limite raciste vous êtes en Italie ici il faut parler italien!?! Quelle honte

30/07/2025: À fuir absolument. Endroit sale, ambiance désagréable. Ma fille a accidentellement sali une fourchette en jouant avec un bonbon fructis , et la responsable a refusé de la garder après , sous prétexte que ce n’était « pas son problème et que un enfant de 3 ans fais pas ça »… Résultat : elle m’a fait payer la fourchette et le couteau Et j’ai payer plus qu’il fallait ((( Comme si ça ne suffisait pas, elle nous a aussi facturé 5€ par personne pour les couverts, ce qui n’était indiqué nulle part. Et au moment de payer, c’était encore pire : je voulais régler en espèces, mon amie en carte, et là, la gérante a littéralement fait un scandale, refusant qu’on paie séparément. Franchement, j’ai voyagé dans pas mal de pays, mais je n’ai jamais vu un service aussi désagréable et irrespectueux. Très mal accueillis, aucune flexibilité, aucune politesse. Le seul point positif ? C’est proche de la gare. Mais franchement, même gratuit, je n’y retournerais pas.

05/10/2025: We arrived and the waiter already confronted us for asking to change tables, even though there were 5 tables with customers... We ordered drinks 3 times from 2 different waiters, only for them to arrive incorrectly. We asked for still water, and he brought it cold, and he still looks at us funny as if it were our fault... A total of more than 15 minutes to bring 1 still water and 1 soda, even though the place was practically empty. The kitchen, on the other hand, is a 10, with good dishes. We ordered the meat with sauce, which was cold, although I suspect it's the waiter's fault, since he told me it was 2 minutes, and brought it after talking for about 10 minutes or more with another customer who had asked for the bill 20 minutes ago and was apologizing. In short, the meat arrived cold. It was supposed to be the second course, which came with the lettuce, tomato, and red cabbage salad. 40 minutes to cut that, and you bring it with the second course cold. It's unforgivable, especially for giving us some cauliflower... To top it all off, if you want to pay by card, you have to go to the first floor in person. Why do they charge me for the cover? I've worked harder than them... The bread they serve is secondhand, a mix of dry toast and 1 or 2 all-you-can-eat bread... The place is nice, with good views and very good food, but the service is nonexistent. If I were them, I'd fire the waiters and hire new ones, or make the service takeout only, if the food was really worth it.

11/08/2025: We've been coming to this establishment for a few years now, where we feel welcomed like friends, not just customers. Giovanna is a special person. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for the sea, relaxation, and a warm welcome.

07/09/2025: WARNING: HISTAMINE POISONING‼️‼️ My mother and a friend ate a tuna salad, and both immediately felt ill. My mother was admitted to the hospital in Savona with severe symptoms, and they immediately realized it was poisoning from poorly preserved fish. She later learned that this wasn't the first case. We want to make this known so we can prevent this from happening again.

08/10/2025: We had lunch as a worker, seeing as other restaurants in the area were closed for vacation. The first course was acceptable, trofie with pesto, but the breaded chicken was embarrassing: it stank, inedible, obviously spoiled. Kudos to the chef with no sense of smell... Shame. NEVER again.

08/09/2025: Excellent place, seafood dishes at reasonable prices. It's definitely not the typical "tourist-spoiling" restaurant we're used to on the Riviera. Excellent service, probably young women fresh out of hotel school, very knowledgeable and diligent. The kitchen staff is also very young but precise and knowledgeable. The place is clean and tidy.

13/07/2025: Un ritorno un po' deludente a questo ristorante che aspira ad essere di alto livello, e che ho già recensito un anno fa , per una cena con amici: la serata è tiepida, con una splendida luna sul mare. Il servizio è molto gentile e il menu ha alcune opzioni senza glutine. Ma...ma..a mio parere alcuni aspetti vanno decisamente migliorati. Intanto le porzioni sono piuttosto esigue in relazione al costo, i piatti risultano un po' basici e talora scarichi di sapore, anche se la materia prima è ottima. Uno dei commensali ed io ordiniamo l'antipasto di polpo, per me senza glutine : quando ci portano i piatti, poichè sembrano uguali, chiedo conferma al cameriere, che porgendomi uno dei due piatti risponde "PENSO sia senza glutine", per noi celiaci frase da orrore puro, perchè abbiamo bisogno di certezze. Su mia cortese richiesta il giovane cameriereva a a chiedere in cucina e, per fortuna, entrambi i piatti sono gluten free. Ritengo importante che si implementino i corsi sulle intolleranze anche per il personale di sala, onde evitare situazioni di incertezza. Tornando al menu...Il tentacolo di polpo è di medie dimensioni e poggia su una crema di ceci (insapore). Di secondo ordino pesce al sale, un pagello freschissimo che mi viene mostrato a crudo, e che, mi dice il cameriere, pesa sui 600 gr. , quindi un bel pesce. Peccato che quando mi arriva il piatto cucinato, i grammi siano al massimo 180/200, e presentati davvero male: la polpa è "smaciullata" e piena di spine, cosa che francamente trovo inammissibile in un ristorante così ambizioso. Inoltre, pur se buono, il pesce è troppo cotto e quindi risulta stopposo. Mio marito prende il gran fritto di pesce, che a nostro parere di "gran" ha solo la dicitura sul menu. Molto interessante la carta dei vini. Non potendo mangiare dolci, chiedo una coppetta di frutti di bosco (mirtilli, lamponi o fragole), ma non hanno nulla. Spesa: 256 euro x 4 persone, che con lo sconto diventano 240, per due piatti esigui a testa - tranne mio marito che ha preso solo il fritto - due dolci, una bottiglia di vino, un caffè. Abito in zona, ma credo non tornerò, e lo dico a malincuore perchè le potenzialità ci sono.

06/07/2025: Cena molto buona in una bella location, personale molto gentile e disponibile. Ottimi piatti di pesce ben presentati. L’unica pecca le tempistiche, attese un po’ lunghe.

21/08/2025: Elegant atmosphere and courteous, prompt staff. We discovered the Universale restaurant by chance but were pleasantly surprised. The dishes are well-prepared: beautiful to look at and delicious to eat! The black lasagna and the amberjack steak are highly recommended.

19/06/2025: Ci era stato consigliato… e purtroppo ci siam fidati! Innanzitutto, ambiente sporco! Pavimenti indecenti e menu unti. Solitamente fotografo tutti i piatti… erano talmente poco invitanti che non ne ho fatta nemmeno una. Frittura mista.. quindi col pesce azzurro “fresco” .. fortunatamente ci siamo accorti che un pesce puzzava di marcio! Il ristorante ci ha detto che può capitare. Arriva il secondo.. calamari alla piastra su un letto di insalata e pomodorini conditi con la cipolla cruda (che non c’entra nulla col pesce!) contorno ovviamente scelto da loro.. i calamari erano amari.. quindi non puliti bene! Ma come si fa???? Dolce.. assaggiano 2 tiramisù.. il pezzo forte della casa! Erano secchi, fatti con la panna, veramente immangiabili. Arriva il momento del conto, nessuna attenzione nonostante il “può capitare”. Queste recensioni così positive sono ingannevoli! Probabilmente trattano bene solo chi dicono loro. Di certo non ci torneremo più.

10/06/2025: Cari utenti, di passaggio a La Spezia, mi sono fermato qui e devo dire: *un’esperienza autentica e soddisfacente dal primo all’ultimo morso**. Locale semplice ma curato, con un’atmosfera intima e un’energia familiare. Appena si entra, si viene accolti da Fiore e Luciano – proprietari attenti e calorosi – che da subito ti mettono a tuo agio con il loro sorriso e disponibilità. Specializzato in pesce fresco, ogni piatto rispecchia tradizione e qualità. Servizio impeccabile: lo staff è gentile e attento ai dettagli, sempre pronto a suggerire piatti e spiegare le peculiarità. Il proprietario si distingue per la sua accoglienza e la capacità di far sentire ogni ospite come a casa. Un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo: pesce fresco, porzioni generose, ambiente conviviale e prezzi onesti creano un’esperienza che difficilmente delude

20/06/2025: Restaurante inmerso en el verde de la montaña con el río que pasa por la puerta. El ambiente es acogedor y la atención del personal muy calurosa. Es un menú fijo en el que sirven continuamente diversos antipastos, primer plato, segundo. Muy abundante y rico. El postre es a elección. Elegí el tiramisú, que era excelente. Recomendable.
