30/10/2025: We were looking for a restaurant in Tolfa that opened for lunch, and looking at the reviews, we were inspired. Everything was truly excellent: a very nice location that makes you feel at home, excellent product quality, great kindness. We had an excellent mixed appetizer, two very generous first courses, and dessert... €45... Excellent value for money... Highly recommended.

22/10/2025: Genuine Italian restaurant. No menu, you ask what's available! €25 per person for three courses, wine, coffee and a grappa.

01/10/2025: A wonderful place that I've been frequenting for years now when I can... immersed in a wonderful forest, it's absolutely relaxing and the food is always excellent.

12/10/2025: I've been to this restaurant both as a guest of friends and as a customer with friends. Everything is good, above average in my opinion, from the mixed antipasto to the first courses, and, in my opinion, the highlight is the select grilled meats. There's a wide selection of wines. They specialize in meat dishes. I recommend it. It's worth traveling all the miles to eat here. I recommend enjoying the experience with a good group of friends; it'll be a great get-together. Eating lunch or dinner here will feel different; the ambiance is different because the large windows make all the difference. The restaurant is on the ground floor and is well hidden from the street by hedges; the place is quiet and intimate. You'll definitely enjoy it.

29/08/2025: The service is very attentive to detail, and the menu is innovative. This is our second time here, and we've tried several appetizers and first courses, all delicious!

31/05/2025: I was very disappointed by the lack of flexibility we had an appointment to decide the menu for a ceremony we called to be fair because we were stuck in traffic, that we would arrive instead of 6.00 pm with 20 minutes of delay apologizing and asking if we could still go they said that at 6.30 pm the staff eats so it was not possible. Already a week before we had called asking for an appointment on Saturday because during the week we had no possibility the same person always answered us and told us that they would call us back which did not happen on Thursday I had to call back maybe they are not interested in receiving banquets or receptions anyway very disappointed you will also eat well but as regards the management absolutely one star

07/09/2025: Rustic English pub-style atmosphere, small but welcoming and well-maintained. Excellent food, including first courses, meat-based main courses, and soups. Pizza and fried foods are also available in the evening. The desserts are also worthy of praise: Sacher torte, crumble cake, and tiramisu. The staff are courteous and friendly. Definitely worth a try.

31/08/2025: A classic pub with a weekly changing draft beer menu, an interesting selection, and good beers. The beans and maltagliati were delicious, but the rest of the food was just okay. I wouldn't recommend it as a restaurant, but it's a good stop for a draft beer.

13/10/2025: DELUDED BY THE REVIEWS. I'm sorry to have to leave this review, which contradicts most of those left by users, but our experience was not positive. The food was mediocre, mediocre, and over-seasoned (abundant oils, over-abundant sauces). The beans with pork rind were undercooked, the oxtail stew was more than just meat in sauce (the kind you use to season pasta, so to speak) with 1 liter of sauce, and the chestnut and bean soup—which I had high expectations for, given the season—was flavorless. The chestnuts were bland. The ring cakes were undercooked, and tasted like yeast, despite being beautiful. In short, I wouldn't return, nor would I recommend it. The service was positive, courteous and attentive, though undersized given the number of seats and the structure of the restaurant (which has three separate areas). I've attached two sample photos of the dishes we ordered. The price of lunch was very reasonable, I would have preferred to pay double but eat as the average food in those areas is.

11/10/2025: 5 stars for everything, abundant and really good dishes, the service a little slow but it's good for digesting between one course and the next.

12/10/2025: I went to Retrobottega last Saturday with four friends, and I have to say it was an extraordinary experience. Amazing food, incredible wine, and a unique atmosphere: welcoming, lively, and meticulously crafted. Every dish was a surprise, with a quality rarely found, not even in many Michelin-starred restaurants. The staff is exceptional—highly trained, friendly, perfectly informal, and never pretentious. They make you feel completely at ease and convey a true passion for what they do. Without a doubt, the best restaurant I've ever tried in Rome.

13/10/2025: Hmmm, it can improve and return to how it once was. As for the service, I was about to give it one star because one of the waiters was a bit sloppy, not wearing a uniform, and it seemed like he didn't enjoy serving. I've also worked in the restaurant business and was always smiling, even in the worst of times. The decor needs improving. The food is okay, but a little more character in the dishes wouldn't hurt. I'm confident it can improve. I still recommend going for the mussels and other delicacies.

27/09/2025: I was in the area for a walk and decided to stop at this café for breakfast. The first time, I was served by a red-haired girl named Sabrina: very kind, welcoming, and professional. The cappuccino was excellent, carefully prepared. Unfortunately, the pastries weren't up to par: limited selection and mediocre flavor—I'd say a 5 out of 10. I returned a second time, hoping to repeat the positive experience, but unfortunately, it went differently. There was another girl (blonde) at the counter with a cold and unfriendly manner. But the most annoying thing was having to wait about 15 minutes at the register to pay: the owner was on the phone and didn't even care about the line forming. In conclusion, I personally don't recommend this café. It's a shame, because thanks to Sabrina, the first experience had been truly pleasant and welcoming.

06/10/2025: I'll start with Federica. A cheerful girl, her winning features are her smile and her simplicity. The elegant and refined location (as always). Marco (the Hermes man), the soul of the place, is a friendly, professional, and personable person who makes you feel like an integral part of it. Yes, because at L'Ostrica Pazza, besides enjoying divine food, you become part of the staff. Personally, on Saturday I was lucky enough to meet the chef, a woman who is extremely talented and very beautiful. Congratulations to all of you. Keep it up. You are unique in a place like Ostia. 😘

30/09/2025: Lovely place. Been around the world and this place slightly reminds me of the wildest places I have been to, but at the same time welcoming like home. The breakfast, all you need to start a good day, is fantastic and available until 10am. Rooms are simple clean, and quite large. I don't think you can ask for more, when looking for a easy going seaside experience on the shores where Odysseus got seduced by Circe, and where the land with its winds and sounds still is capable to bring you in a world far far away. It's quite easy to get the food and the fact that it doesn't run restaurant during every evening, but only near the weekends like on Fridays, is a great incentive to go explore outside the nearby towns. This place feels like family. Explore, and relax in the heart of the agricultural southern Lazio communities, and take your opportunity to reconnect with Nature. --- If only the municipality, the region the Italian State and Europe could invest more in this place redesigning the roads network by removing the "litoranea" and opting for a perpendicular approach by only-walkable paths (like others have done), with large parking far from the sea, protecting the dunes... , cleaning the beach and the swamp more and regulating fisherman terrible practices, the beach and these gifts we have been given would become a true paradise. -- Thanks for hosting us!

12/10/2025: I've been to this wonderful place, very welcoming and bright, where professionalism and kindness are paramount. Unique dishes, fresh, quality food; every bite was a fantasy of flavors that thrilled you. Praise to the chef and all the staff. I highly recommend it.

17/10/2025: The location was beautiful, with a splendid sea view and excellent bread. We ordered six Girardeau oysters (€4.50 each), usually served chilled, and in fact they arrived at the perfect temperature on ice. Two platters of raw fish included a perfectly chilled tuna tartare, scampi, shrimp, and pink shrimp, all cold as raw fish should be served. And who could forget the filleted scallop, whose inviting appearance and freshness were evident in the aroma...just as raw fish should be? A spectacular scallop accompanied by lemon oil and chives, peppered mussels with jalapeño pepper (which those in the know certainly wouldn't confuse with a bell pepper), and cherry tomatoes. It's THE peppery one! We also ordered two plates of Gran Gratinato and three spaghetti alle vongole, which, once they arrived, stunned us with their deliciousness. A €30 bottle of wine, we ate and drank everything with great pleasure, and in the end we paid a very fair €147 without any problem. I'll be back soon to try the many other delicious things the chefs have on the menu... THANK YOU ANY REFERENCE TO THINGS, PEOPLE, OR OTHER REVIEWS IS NOT AT ALL RANDOM... AND SOME THINGS YOU DON'T EXPECT FROM YOUR COLLEAGUES... EVEN IF THEY'RE WRONG THAT DAY... RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK GOES BEYOND... BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY THAT FEW PEOPLE UNDERSTAND ANYMORE!

13/10/2025: This is my go-to restaurant for my Marche vacations every year. Every bite is special, and I'm always sad when my plate is empty. Shabu-shabu is a must-try for antipasto. The pasta is all delicious. I try a different pasta every time I visit, and this one was by far the best. I highly recommend the Scoglio pasta, which boasts a rich seafood flavor. Even the desserts are homemade, not store-bought. I highly recommend the gelato. The passion fruit gelato is incredibly refreshing. It's the perfect final indulgence. A restaurant you won't regret visiting. Reservations are recommended.

In short, if you're in the area, stop here.

31/08/2025: Amazing!!!! The service was excellent, courteous, and friendly! Excellent food; we had a platter of very good cured meats and delicious beans all'uccelletto. A mouth-watering first course (ombrichelli alla zozzona) with sausage, bacon, and tomato—a must try!
