19/01/2025: Ogni tanto quando vado al mercato di Porta Portese mi piace pranzare in zona e oggi ho piacevolmente pranzato all' Hosteria di NONNA NELLA.Non era la prima volta che andavo e ho sempre mangiato bene ma questa volta posso dire che hanno meritato senza dubbio le 5 stelle.Piatti tipici Romani eseguiti alla perfezione con pietanze abbondanti ain modo giusto.Prezzi in linea con quanto viene proposto.Lo consiglio

21/12/2024: L'atmosfera accogliente dell'Hosteria Nonna Nella ci aveva inizialmente conquistato, ma purtroppo l'esperienza si è rivelata deludente sotto più aspetti. Il fritto di baccalà era poco gradevole, ben lontano dagli standard attesi. La carbonara, ordinata per entrambi, presentava pasta cruda e scarsa amalgamazione degli ingredienti. Ma ciò che ha veramente compromesso la giornata è stata una pratica inaccettabile: ho ordinato specificamente un calice di Primitivo e mi è stato servito un Merlot di qualità inferiore. Da appassionato e conoscitore di vini, ho immediatamente notato la sostituzione. Questa condotta è particolarmente grave perché, se può passare inosservata a turisti stranieri meno familiari con i nostri vini, rappresenta un vero e proprio raggiro nei confronti del cliente. Non posso consigliare un locale che adotta simili pratiche commerciali scorrette. La fiducia del cliente è un valore fondamentale nella ristorazione, e qui è stata gravemente tradita.

14/01/2025: Small location with many beautiful details... the walls enchant me with their references: they seem to convey timeless images... the menu is a little expensive (the starters didn't even impress us, for example both for the mix and for the quantity!) .. honestly the following times we opted for meat and we liked it.. the carbonara taken by others with us was also good... good tiramisu.. what can I say? If it were up to me I would see the starters again... for the rest nothing to say! Next time I will add photos of the dishes... in the meantime here is the location..

05/01/2025: Non capisco le recensioni così basse. Ci sarò stato 6-7 volte e mi ci sono trovato sempre bene. Cibo ottimo , servizio ok. Con offerta the fork prezzi super convenienti. Dolci molto buoni. Super consigliato.

31/12/2024: Locale familiare con una cucina tradizionale ed eccellente, da visitare assolutamente, e una vista bellissima! I proprietari e il personale splendidamente gentili.

01/01/2025: I'm sorry to give such a low rating, they are very kind but we're just not there with the food. I never thought I would eat such bad simple dishes in a cheap place like this. I absolutely don't recommend it. For the restaurateur: if I put my mind to it, will you improve your cuisine? 😉 My 900+ reviews are my face. You will find very few as low as yours.

04/11/2024: During a motorbike tour on Monday, we found this tavern in the historic center of Lenola, I must say that we were very pleased by the hospitality of the owners and the simple, but very good and quality food.

31/08/2024: 7 anni dopo ! Una splendida conferma. C'è ancora chi sa cucinare e lo fa con passione ed innovazione (vedi pasta ananas e tonno che mio figlio ha adorato) e tradizione ( il mio spaghettone alle vongole). Tutti soddisfatti, soldi spesi bene ! Grazie e buone cose !

19/01/2025: We order and pay for 6 pizzas immediately so we can then pick them up 2 times later. Well, out of 6 pizzas, only 1 is right, the others are all wrong. When we went in to ask to collect them, the owner (the same one who had taken the order) didn't know what we were talking about, after various vicissitudes she managed to find the pizzas... all wrong. We managed to make her understand, very difficultly, what she had done wrong and the lady even had the courage to ask us for more money... The pizzas full of garlic were almost inedible. Aside from the quality of the food, the blonde lady really shouldn't have anything to do with the public. Rating 0. Avoid this place. I respond to the response of the friendly owner. I wanted to inform you that in the meantime we came as customers who left very dissatisfied and already here you should ask yourself a question... in any case as regards the garlic, obviously it must be present in the marinara pizza but not pieces as large as a walnut . The order was placed at 7.30am with collection at 9am, order rechecked during payment. (Here too we ask for a Crostino pizza which at least in Rome means pizza with cooked ham, and this RESTAURANT asks us "ah with anchovies?".. I think there is little to say..) anyway having said this when we go to collect the pizzas she absolutely didn't know what we were talking about after saying that we had already paid she went into the kitchen and came out with 3 pizzas (6 was the order) of which one was wrong (a Margherita and instead she brought a Margherita with ham). We place the order again and in front of us with the requests just made (i.e. the famous crostino pizzas) they come out with bruschetta... we place the order again specifying in Italian and as if we were talking to a 10 year old child as we asked for the crouton and nothing pizzas are made in a completely different way. Out of desperation we go away and deal with it... I think that the problem, regardless of everything, is your arrogance, dear Lady, and your nerve to ask us for more money... (which you obviously didn't ask for given our reaction) and it's also a shame because in the end the fried foods they were very good. In any case, lady, you must learn to deal with people because you were truly a terrible professional. Until we meet again

11/01/2025: After a morning walking, hunger striked. The Caffe Olimpia is just off via del corso. On the small terrace, locals were lunching. The staff directed us to a free table and brought the menu (translated in English), accompanied with a daily menu written on a blackboard (not translated)x We ordered a bruschetta,tonarelli all’amatriciana and tortellini alla boscaiola. The bruschetta came with two bruschette, with a generous serving of tomatoes, a very good example of letting the products shine. The tonarelli were cooked al dente and the sauce was just right, enough to coat but not overwhelming. The tortellini sauce was a balance mix of green peas and mushroom. The serving were generous and left satisfied. This caffe doesn’t pretend to be gastronomic, but it’s simple Italian food, something one could have for their lunch break. The 5 stars, doesn’t mean it is a fancy restaurant and your mind will be blown away by extraordinary flavour, nor will you leave with the waiter being your best mate. It reflects its purpose; a local lunch break with simple and hearty food, the service was efficient and nice. The waiter knows the locals and joked with them and suggested the tortellini as I was indecisive. For total disclosure, I did speak only Italian with him.

30/12/2024: I made the mistake of coming to this place without having read the reviews first, I ordered the combo menu €18 tasting of carbonara, amatriciana and roast beef probably since the roast beef is served at room temperature they didn't even reheat my pasta (because of heated pasta it comes)

23/11/2024: Unfortunately we entered this place, but we didn't eat well, which is a shame because the place has incredible potential. But undoubtedly the restaurateur does not believe in what he is doing. I don't recommend you go.

23/11/2024: Horrible. Horrible experience. I found myself in this place by chance and had chosen the sirloin as the menu. As they brought it to me the snow had been replaced by salt. INEDIBLE. I asked to do it again and they brought me the same steak washed with salt. Total crap. . Speaking to the owner he told me that it will close in a month. I hope that the NAS WILL PASS FIRST SO IT WILL CLOSE WITH SOME FINES... Zero education, a lot of arrogance. These people are the ruin of Italian catering. On the menu it said Coda alla Vaccinara. I had requested that dish first and was told it wasn't available yet because it still had two hours left to cook. Total disgust, both from the service and from the food, and the mushrooms light up.. shame..

14/01/2025: Meat and pizza are eaten well; in summer, beautiful well-kept outdoor space; in winter, a nice interior. Excellent meat menus. Not cheap but worth it.

20/11/2024: Foi a primeira experiência com pizza que tivemos em Roma e podemos dizer com certeza que não há arrependimento, comida excelente, pizza no capricho e deliciosa. Experimentamos a Margherita e estava uma delícia. O atendimento não é dos melhores, achamos o pessoal meio grosso.

07/09/2024: Siamo stati a fare colazione in questo e devo dire veramente carino, personale simpatico e cordiale, caffè e cornetti eccellenti, ha una vasta pasticceria, infatti abbiamo preso una torta ed era fantastica, da provare.

19/10/2024: To be honest I must say that we did not eat in this restaurant, my low score refers to the kind lady, who, seeing us sheltering under the awning of her restaurant (waiting for my husband to arrive with the car), while it was pouring, chased us away with 2 small girls, because we had eaten in the pizzeria next door and not at her place... dispassionate advice, contact with the public is not for everyone, and certainly not for this lady... whatever her role was there. I invite you to reflect on these attitudes, I hope they are not your habit....

10/09/2024: Cozy place with tables both outside and inside. We took two plates of spaghetti with clams and they were good, then a fried calamari which was also good although the quantity could have been a little more generous, considering that the prices are not cheap. What I was disappointed about was that it was Saturday, and when the restaurant filled up it was clear that there was very little staff at the tables. People were running around trying to do their best and were also courteous, but we asked twice for the menu to choose desserts and after about twenty minutes (during which the menus were not brought to us) we preferred to ask for the bill.
