Passing through Itri at lunchtime, we decided to stop at this osteria. It was crowded on a Sunday, but the owner luckily found us a table. We took their advice: pappardelle with fantastic wild boar ragù, cod with cherry tomatoes and crostini, and tripe with pecorino cheese—all delicious. The house Montepulciano wine was also excellent. Mr. Cesare and his family were empathetic, very friendly, and witty. Worth a try. P.S.: "The amaro was delicious." I wish I'd had a bottle 🤪

We ate well, and we could have been even more satisfied if the main courses hadn't been lacking in salt. This problem can be overcome with a little care. The first courses were good.
