26/03/2026: It's not 4.5 stars at all. The appetizer was horrible, the pizza was acceptable, but the fried food was frozen and full of oil, and they were about to close and turned off the oven while we were eating, so I couldn't order. The bread was plastic, so I had to ask for it.

22/04/2026: My partner and I went to Bisteak for a dinner that, more than just a simple outing, felt like a scene inside a dance studio painted by Edgar Degas: soft lighting, everyday movements, and that suspended atmosphere of a rehearsal room, where the dancers still move between imperfection and grace. The evening opened like a well-executed choreography: a simple but successful appetizer, followed by two convincing main courses. The Milanese cutlet was good, as was the tagliata, both solid and well-executed, like the main steps of a dance that holds the stage. Completing the scene were two side dishes: the focaccia with prosciutto and mozzarella, soft and harmonious, like a gesture repeated in the rehearsal room until it becomes natural, and the pan-fried chicory, along with the thinly sliced ​​French fries, both very good, small lateral movements but perfectly integrated into the choreography. The service, as often happens in rehearsal rooms, wasn't perfectly timed, but it was certainly human and pleasant: the waiters were friendly, pleasant, and helpful, with that attitude that puts you at ease even when the rhythm of the room isn't yet fully balanced. More than a flaw, it was a slight timing discrepancy in an otherwise welcoming dance. The dessert, the wild berry millefeuille, was the most poetic and slightly ironic moment of the choreography: it was drizzled with wild berry syrup, without actual pieces of fruit and without the expected layering, like a simplified finale compared to the imagined show. However, it was fresh, the cream was good, and so even the final gesture remained sweet, even if less theatrical. We spent around €40 per person without alcohol: an average amount for an evening that felt more like a ballet rehearsal than a fully finished performance. In short, we had a good time: a tender and slightly ironic painting by Degas, where the dance is there, you can feel it, even if some steps are still being settled in, and this is precisely what makes it curiously authentic.

Chicken parmigiana cooked two ways, sliced ​​vegetables, various cooked dishes, strips of meat, onions, mozzarella, and a buffet. Tiramisu was excellent. It's a shame you couldn't taste the coffee. All for €30 per person.

20/05/2026: I returned to this place in the heart of the Colosseum after years and was pleasantly surprised by the new management. The live drag show was entertaining and the food was delicious, from the appetizer to the hearty burger to the dessert... they even know how to make cocktails, and the kindness and friendliness of Elisa, the woman who looked after us, is definitely something not to be underestimated.

14/04/2026: I stayed at Borgo Palmieri, and unfortunately, the experience was decidedly disappointing in every way. The room appears outdated, with dirty and visibly deteriorated walls. The bathroom is in terrible condition: a broken door, poorly functioning plumbing, and a bizarre system for turning on the light and vent, positioned outside and behind the door. The faucets are decades old and completely worn out, as is the shower area. The minibar is virtually unusable, while the pillows on the bed are unfit for use, making sleep extremely uncomfortable. Even the area outside the room is dirty and neglected, further adding to the sense of general abandonment. Considering the €100 per night, the value for money is unacceptable: it's a complete rip-off. The property needs at least a complete renovation, a thorough cleaning of the walls, and, above all, a finally comfortable sleeping area. Finally, breakfast was a complete disaster, further worsening an already disappointing stay. I will never return.

11/11/2025: Excellent vacation property, yet 20 minutes from the center of Rome, a perfect blend of centrality and relaxation. Clean, pleasant rooms, excellent breakfast with homemade cakes and much more. My 86-year-old parents truly enjoyed their stay.

07/10/2025: Professional and welcoming staff. The restaurant and breakfast are outstanding, the reception area, pool, and restaurant are truly beautiful with a sunset view. The accommodations are beautifully laid out. The rooms are a bit dated. The location is a bit out of the way, on a dark street. A small note about breakfast: if you choose to have waiters serve food and drinks, and there are large groups, a line is inevitable. Perhaps double the service staff?

Dry fried foods (also worth trying are their remarkable pasta frittatas we tried this summer), very digestible pizzas with a very rustic red tomato base (it tasted like homemade tomato puree), abundant and delicious vegetables, in addition to all the ingredients for the capricciosa... to finish, an excellent trifle profiteroles... it's a shame they ran out of delicious lemon delights... friendly staff and fast service... absolutely worth trying!!! Highly recommended!!

14/04/2026: This place is new to discover, but it's definitely worth a visit. It has its own little garden, very quiet. It doesn't even feel like you're in Sempione! Superb wines and friendly, helpful staff. Lately, I've been trying to come here as often as possible if I need to go out in Montesacro. Recommended :)
