08/11/2025: The experience I had at La Terrazza dei Papi is something I will remember for a long time. From the moment I went up to the terrace of the Mecenate Palace Hotel, at Via Carlo Alberto 3, I felt like I had climbed… high, above Rome, with my gaze stretching out over the houses, the domes, the illuminated monuments of the Eternal City. The atmosphere was enchanting: the sunset light played on the ancient tiles and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the sounds of the city were low; and the staff, kind, attentive, with attention to detail. When I left, I felt like I had escaped a little from the routine, that I had experienced something authentic: views everywhere, warm service, and that feeling of being in a place that celebrates the moment. I would highly recommend it for a special occasion and I am already thinking of going back.

04/12/2025: A truly welcoming, informal atmosphere a stone's throw from Borgo Pio and Piazza Risorgimento. The restaurant offers a wide selection of wines and excellent Abruzzo cuisine. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment. The staff is very friendly, and the food is top-notch. Recommended by a friend, we'll definitely be back.

22/08/2025: I dined here with my family a couple of times in July 2025, and it was a delightful revelation. The fish is simply prepared, and the traditional dishes are perfect in flavor and presentation, with no frills or frills, like the "thousand salt pans" or the bizarre combinations that often serve to hide less-than-fresh or poor-quality fish. In short, they have quality fish and know how to treat it. The place is small but welcoming. The only drawback is the location: it's off-center and faces a street without even a sidewalk; a post-dinner stroll is not recommended.

21/08/2025: A regular at the restaurant, "Le Lanterne" has been a regular stop every summer with my family for years now, and it continues to be a convivial occasion characterized by delicious food, extremely courteous staff, and a welcoming atmosphere.

When I Visited: We stopped by Sant Alberto while exploring Pigneto’s restaurant-lined streets. The area’s quiet, filled with food spots, and has a relaxed energy. Food/Drink Details 🍕🍝: The menu is classic—pizza, pasta, the usual suspects. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything was cooked with care. The Roma-style pizzas came out of a beautiful oven, thin and crispy just like they should be. Solid execution, fair portions, and decent flavor for the price. Service 🤝: Friendly and helpful staff that keeps things easy and welcoming. No stress, just good energy. Atmosphere/Decor 🌃: Cozy and spacious, especially outside on the terrace. Great mood lighting, quiet street, and heaters make it a chill place to unwind—especially in winter. Overall Experience ⭐: Sant Alberto won’t blow your mind, but it delivers on comfort, price, and vibes. 23/11/2025: The food was too spicy and not very tasty, the bread was industrial sliced ​​bread, there were few tables and it felt cramped, and there were pigeons as a nuisance...it's a shame because the location in the park was perfect!

14/11/2025: Visited at 12:30 noon time. Initial plan was getting coffee with something quick to eat. But I saw that tables are ready for lunch so I diverted to lunch. I counted, the operational area outside has about 20+ tables for two (40 people outside) and some 7 inside (15 people). So top capacity at the time was 55 people. Only one waitress. And she isn’t the one curated to work efficiently. Just wandering around randomly and reacting, instead of acting first and being on top of things. I even offered picking up some plates (like cheesecake I later ordered) directly from the counter to overcome the sluggish service. Answer was no. Food quality is worse than expected for such a place. Coffee to go maybe, but I would never come to this pace for more than that. Having said this, I would convert this place to a beauty. Pity, such nice places are managed by incapable people.

11/11/2025: Everything was delicious. The chef's experience shines through in every dish, which becomes a celebration of flavors, colors, and tastes. We'll definitely be back.

15/12/2025: The place is nice, but it's a shame that last Friday they apparently were missing a pizza chef and we had to wait over an hour for four pizzas. After we complained, they brought us a plate of fries, but the fact remains that the delay was insane. There were lots of waiters, but they paid little attention to the tables. We ordered four desserts, and three arrived. After the fourth didn't arrive, we asked for the bill, which also included the missing dessert. We pointed this out, and it was taken off the bill, and magically the fourth dessert arrived (after 20 minutes), which they obviously took back since we had it taken off the bill. Perhaps there's a bit of disorganization. The worst thing is that there were people inside the place smoking e-cigarettes, and despite us pointing this out to the staff, no one bothered to enforce the ban!

07/12/2025: Exceptional pizza, with super-fresh ingredients and a light, tasty dough. The staff was super friendly, and the welcoming, clean atmosphere is perfect for an evening with friends or family.

12/09/2025: I placed a home delivery order. 1 Nargherita 1 Margherita with mushrooms 6 Ascona olives (6 pieces) 2 suppli 1 can of Coke €38 Besides the shameful price, 1 Ascoli scoop €1.00 1 suppli €3.50 And I won't go further, the pizzas didn't stand up straight, they were limp and burned.

17/07/2025: I ate here a while ago and it was pleasant. Today was a disaster. LET'S START with the beers, flat and with a very questionable flavor, like diluted. We had medium reds and a lager. The Coke tasted like it's been left out in the sun, and it takes on that excessively sweet, flat flavor (granted it was in a closed glass bottle, but that was also disgusting). The Chianina burger wasn't asked for it to be cooked and was raw. Furthermore, THE MEAT was clearly not Chianina and tasted like terrible sausage (probably industrial, very poor quality, because the meat looked like a mass of mixed minced meats, but the Chianina isn't even in the photo). Carbonara was too salty, and the pasta was lumpy. Pasta with sauce, for a young girl, arrived with a questionable sauce that had bits of meat, so it was a remnant of ragù with pepper, but let's leave that aside too. Pork chops in BBQ sauce. I ask if they're neck steaks, and they say yes. Instead, they deliver two dry pork loins (sirloin is known to be dry, but if I ask you something, you say yes. I expect you to bring me what you tell me). Basically, the service, except for the kindness of the waitresses, where I can't comment, was poor because the food arrived later than the other diners. Some were eating, some had already finished. The quality of the products was truly, truly poor. Not to mention the TERMITES on the table, the people smoking around you as if nothing had happened. All this for €180, which if I'd eaten well, I wouldn't have even cared about. But in the end, we ate awful food, took way too long, and despite complaints to the owners, everything went as if nothing had happened. Obviously, the evening ended with three people with stomach aches. I don't know if the management has changed, but I certainly won't be returning to this place again, nor will I bring or send anyone.
