26/09/2025: According to Google Maps, the restaurant is open, but it is closed.

25/09/2025: I had to wait 30 minutes to get a sandwich and a beer, even though it was off-peak time (12:50) and there was no one in line. But then again, it was the Rome derby, and it was more important to follow the match on my tablet. Furthermore, the burly guy at the kiosk is incredibly ignorant. He wanted me to eat standing up even though there were empty seats at the counter ("They're for people having coffee, otherwise how am I supposed to do it") and empty tables ("And what if someone makes a reservation?"). In the end, he took pity on me and let me eat my sandwich on a rusty iron table. Hygiene is also poor, as the place where they prepare the sandwiches is full of flies and midges, which isn't a good sign. If you value yourself and your self-esteem, avoid this place. When I write negative reviews, I do so for one sole purpose: if you're good and capable, you should thrive; if you're not, you should quit and change careers, given the overwhelming competition. Unfortunately, most people don't think like me. Update: I appreciate your polite response. I'll try again next year.

26/05/2025: Ristorante/pizzeria con vari punti vendita sparsi per Roma. Io sono andato sempre e solo, da ormai 6-7 anni, a questo di Testaccio. Avendo provato sia pizza che pasta, posso dire che, pur se facente parte di una catena di locali, non mi dispiace. Poi, per carità, in ristoranti "singoli" (cioè non facenti parte a nessuna catena) si può trovare qualche plus che in certi locali può mancare. La pizza la trovo molto sottile e croccante. Le fettuccine forse un po' troppo spesse, ma così le fanno e a quello ci si attiene. Il locale è abbastanza grande per mangiare in comodità. E il servizio - con personale che ho sempre trovato diverso dalla volta precedente - celere e cortese. I costi, per finire, li trovo nella media. Nulla da segnalare al riguardo. P.S. Se non erro, da fine inverno/inizio primavera 2025, il locale ha cambiato nome.

04/11/2025: Il Picchio Allegro is much more than a pizzeria: it's a gourmet restaurant and pizzeria that combines the lightness and fun of pizza with the elegance of meticulously prepared cuisine, select ingredients, and a pleasant atmosphere. If you're in Rieti and want a memorable evening, you can't go wrong here.

12/10/2025: One of the best pizzas in Rieti: light dough, top-quality ingredients, and truly excellent flavors. The only flaw was the service; we felt a bit neglected by the staff. After the first few drinks, reordering the next ones was a real struggle, and we had to wait a long time. The same thing happened with the desserts: despite receiving the menus and signaling to the waiter, no one came to take our orders, and, much to our disappointment, we left. I understand why the place was packed, however, a sign of its well-deserved success. Despite this small inconvenience, the quality of the pizza is truly worth it, and I will definitely return on weekdays to enjoy the experience at a more leisurely pace.

Delicious sweet and savory products, in Rome's beloved styles, and located in a beautiful area of ​​the Testaccio neighborhood, just steps from the square of the same name, perfect for enjoying two crispy pizzas in the sunshine first thing in the morning. Highly recommended.

03/08/2025: The Passi bakery is a historic place in the Testaccio neighborhood. The bread is made with excellent ingredients, just like in the old days. You can also buy excellent ready-made meals. The biscuits and desserts are also delicious, as if they were homemade. If you're in the area, you must visit.

I say this because I experienced this type of harassment myself, where the owner hugged me from behind without my consent… If I were in Brazil, I would have gone to the police station immediately… This behavior from the owner is deplorable… I wouldn't recommend it to anyone…

15/11/2025: Personally, I go every week, both to get round pizzas and sliced pizza. For collection they are always very punctual, prices are normal and quality is high. Very easily digestible dough, both classic and cereal. I recommend the pizza by the slice stuffed with escarole, one of my favourites. I honestly don't understand the criticisms I've read that complain about out-of-date prices on a flyer found on the internet, no one knows where...

From there, enjoy delicious cuisine. * By regulation, they cannot serve at the table; plates are placed next to the kitchen. Just like at home, when you say your first name, stand up 😋

31/05/2025: Ate well, but in 2025 where even in the third world you pay with the POS it is unacceptable to demand payment in cash with the excuse that they do not have a POS. So if you do not want to participate in a theft from the treasury you know what to do. Plus not even the receipt. I am truly surprised that today there are still such realities. Someone who manages the state finances should explain this incongruity.

11/11/2025: We were returning from a trek, and as soon as we entered, we were struck by the welcoming atmosphere of the burning fireplace. The menu features a page dedicated solely to cheeses, a curious thing I'd never seen before. They welcomed us with an entrée of crostini with Patanegra lard and a glass of prosecco, which was much appreciated. The brunette woman who welcomed us was truly knowledgeable and professional, characteristics that are increasingly rare these days. The dishes, in addition to their deliciousness and the selection of local ingredients, were also astounded by the mastery of the combinations of different textures. My compliments to the entire staff; it was a surprise to discover this restaurant, and we'll be back!

26/10/2025: Excellent ingredients, impeccably cooked and served in generous portions, wonderful people who work with passion, and a "nativity scene" town immersed in nature. Sure, it's a bit far from Rome, but it's definitely worth the drive and the wait to relax and enjoy delicious food.

14/10/2025: Always a good spot. Easy to find on-site parking, and there's also a bar and restaurant. It's a free, well-equipped beach.
