An unforgettable experience of excellent cuisine and rare humanity.
I had lunch yesterday at the agriturismo 'La Luna nel Pozzo' and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The food is excellent: the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and the meat are pure 'substance,' dishes cooked with love and using authentic local ingredients.
But what makes this place truly special is the owner, Mauro. In addition to his professionalism, I found him to be genuinely helpful and show extraordinary sensitivity. Yesterday, I ran into trouble during a hike in the woods, and Mauro didn't hesitate to assist me, even coordinating the fire department's response to ensure my safety.
Finding someone as thoughtful and helpful as Mauro was truly a blessing. Thank you for everything!

We often come to Carsoli from Rome to eat at the agriturismo.
We find the staff friendly, helpful, and above all, the food is excellent.

Yesterday I had lunch with my sister and brother-in-law at this enchanting place; it feels like being on the veranda of a family that treats you like the most anticipated guest.
The owner, with his Roman accent, recommends the best dishes. I had tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, incredibly delicate and refined, fabulous ravioli with ricotta and walnuts, a grilled meat dish, and a sublime grilled caciotta cheese. I also recommend the potatoes, which they make delicious.
I hope to return soon. Hugs, and keep up the good work!!! Mauro, you've always been in my heart.

Lunch with family and friends, all delighted when, after the always delicious appetizers, Mauro arrives with the steaming cords. You can't help but be thrilled; they were special. Then, when accompanied with truffle ravioli, everything becomes top-notch. Then we move on to the scamorza and the meat, both alla frace, and I won't say more... Try it for yourself. Remember to book in advance, as the cords must be fresh, practically freshly made.

Spent Sunday with friends who were already customers. Mauro, the owner, is a warm and friendly person, and the staff is very down-to-earth and helpful. The service is unpretentious, but the food is good and tasty, and the price is very fair for the quality. A place half an hour from Rome that transports you to a world of carefree relaxation, silence, nature, and authenticity! Definitely worth trying again!

Riofreddo: a beautiful location on the border between Rome and L'Aquila. Despite an exponential and unexpected increase in seating, the staff managed to handle the situation perfectly. We ate well, but I think in quieter moments, the food could be even better, as excellent agriturismos do. The kitchen had obvious, but understandable, difficulties.
I would increase the portions and review the prices. €30 per person for a set menu that's rather light on portions is a bit too much. I would return and recommend it, even for a very short one-night weekend (they have rooms) and to visit the various villages and natural beauty spots in the area.

The place is truly beautiful. I was there today with my family, the restaurant had about 20 reservations and suddenly about 50 people showed up 😅 the waiter was really good at managing the situation. The food wasn't bad, the only flaw was the tiramisu... the biscuit was soaked in a drop of coffee and there was no mascarpone cream, there was only beaten egg whites and instead of cocoa they put coffee powder on top, I didn't eat it... but apart from that the place is really nice.
