11/02/2026: I have to say it's pretty low. Asking for a bowl of peanuts and chips and having the cashier tell you they don't know is almost comical, as if they didn't work there. Plastic cups, bathrooms a bit neglected. A bit run-down. A real shame because it has so much more potential. Disappointing.

04/02/2026: A nice place with potential, but unfortunately it has a few flaws. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired, and the welcome from a lady I believe is the owner wasn't the best on several occasions. There's a lot of dust, especially on the sofas where you can relax in the company of small midges.

07/03/2026: Very good, very friendly and helpful staff. If you go on weekdays, there are fewer people and a quieter atmosphere. It's always busy on Saturdays and Sundays. I recommend booking, but still highly recommended.

26/12/2025: I've been coming to Gioia Mia for years, and that's no coincidence: it's a historic restaurant, open for about thirty years, so it's not just another trendy place that just popped up yesterday. This is evident, especially in the way they work and the consistent quality. I much prefer it to the usual AYCE restaurants, where they fill your table with lots of food but you end up eating bland and often heavy food. Here, it's the opposite: you pay for quality, not volume. Each dish is carefully prepared, balanced, without the "everything the same" effect typical of industrial places. The sushi boat remains one of my favorites 🍣🚤. Beautiful to look at, but above all, delicious to eat. Fresh fish, well-made rice, clean and distinctive flavors, no sauces to cover up flaws. You can tell there's experience behind it, not improvisation. The atmosphere is quiet, the service is always courteous, and the timing is right, allowing you to enjoy your dinner without rushing. The prices are more than fair for what they bring to the table. If you're looking for true quality and not the usual soulless binge, this is one of those places that continues to earn your trust year after year! 😋

25/01/2026: We went to the "restaurant" where the welcome on arrival, having a small dog, was terrible... in fact... the owner even advised us to leave the dog in the car without even looking us in the face... obviously we didn't hesitate to leave... unfortunately I have to say that they are still in the Middle Ages like the castle in the village... a piece of advice to pet owners and not to go to this restaurant.

19/03/2026: this was the best pasta we had in Italy. I had amatriciana and my boyfriend got rigatoni con la pajata. We didn’t love our secondi quite as much. I got the trippa alla romana, which I think was done very well, but after the pasta it tasted rather bland. This was the first time I had the dish so I’m not a good judge and again I could tell it was done well just not as tasty as the pasta. My boyfriend got the special: ox tail stew. This was the only thing that we weren’t as happy with. The flavor was good, but it wasn’t tender at all and you had to kind of gnaw on it to get the meat off. It was clear that it was expected because they brought out wet wipes with the dish. Over all very good food, but maybe dont get the specials haha

10/03/2026: service: friendly, attentive, not pushy, extremely accommodating. i was cared for very well even as a solo diner. any and all of my uneasiness was washed away with their service. very aware of and prepared to deal with allergies/dietary restrictions. very english friendly. food: very good. heart and tripe had no off putting tastes. i like tripe a lot but the one here was truly amazing. if you have not tried these ingredients, this is the place to try. the design, atmosphere, and energy of the store are also great and add to the experience. overall, quite expensive but not lacking in any aspect of the dining experience. reservations are needed but straightforward to obtain on their website.

06/02/2026: The warmth of a home turned into a restaurant

10/01/2026: A divisive restaurant... some love it, some hate it. But if you choose the right dishes and avoid the weekend chaos, you'll have a great time. The atmosphere is simple and familiar. The calzone is very good. The wood-fired pizza is good, but it's still a Neapolitan pizza. With or without crust, it's still Neapolitan. If you like it, go for it... but if you like Roman pizza, avoid it... they're two different things. I can't stand people who want Roman pizza and then complain. The tonnarelli with artichokes and pecorino is excellent. Next time, I'll try the meat... it looks good. Follow my advice... think about it, folks.

08/01/2026: Smash burger to mock... tiny burger, to say the least, almost invisible, but from the photo on the menu, it pops out of the bun... Grilled so-so.... Not to mention the looks from the staff after asking to remake it... But the result didn't change much... Other people at the nearby tables also complained for the same reason.... Never again

31/12/2025: Experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The burger that was served was clearly undercooked, almost raw on the inside, although this was not specifically requested. When we pointed this out to the staff, instead of an apology or solution, we were met with a rude and unprofessional attitude. The staff were unfriendly, uninterested and acted as if we were bothering them for even saying anything. In the end, without any compensation or apology, they charged the full amount of €92🤣🤣🤣, which is absolutely unacceptable for this quality of food and service. For this price, one expects at least a basic level of professionalism, food safety and respect for guests. Unfortunately, we did not get any of that here. I would not return or recommend the restaurant to others.

06/08/2025: Spectacular pinsa, very kind and punctual service, very pleasant atmosphere on the terrace overlooking the main square. I don't know if this is what the name refers to, but it really is the best triad you could ask for from any restaurant: excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere!

18/05/2025: Located in Montecelio, right in the piazza. A very small but welcoming place. It offers only pizza and pinsa, with the option of a good variety of sandwiches. The menu is extensive, offering various types of pizza, including red, white, and specialty pizzas. Calzones are also available. All dishes can be accompanied by a fried appetizer with classic or more unusual supplì. Each pizza flavor can also be ordered as a pinsa, which is a hallmark of this place. Very casual, with a table setting featuring paper plates and cups. Prices are reasonable and reasonable. Some pizza flavors are very good, with well-matched ingredients. The ability to place scissors at the table for easy cutting is a great feature. The only downside is the somewhat slow service. Recommended

02/01/2026: Good flavor, I ordered lasagna and it was delicious and hot, it arrived quickly, the service is friendly and fast, it has an outdoor area and down some stairs the indoor area, it's small not recommended for groups of more than 4 people, it has a clean and simple but pleasant atmosphere

08/12/2025: The ice cream is quite good, but unfortunately I have to confirm some of the reviews: it's not clear when it's open. Yesterday on Google Maps it said it opened at 4 PM, but surprisingly, it was closed. Maybe they have too much money 🤷

12/03/2026: For a quick coffee, why not? For a more substantial breakfast, I'll avoid it next time. The staff aren't bad, but they're not exactly enthusiastic either, the terrace is dirty, and the croissant-cream was frankly unappetizing. I drank the coffee, left half the croissant, and took everything back without making a fuss. A small bar that could use a few improvements, but the prices are reasonable and it's a welcome break from the chaos of Rome.

14/02/2026: The new management of this place has breathed new life into this beautiful spot. I went for an after-dinner drink and the guy who runs the place was really kind, even the intimate outdoor setting is top notch. We'll be back very soon!
