28/12/2024: Very friendly staff, quaint atmosphere, excellent food. We got boxes of meatballs and sweets. It was all very good. I recommend it

28/12/2024: Attracted by the reviews I went to this place but after a while the disappointment began due to the food not being up to par and the service being poor. In particular, the "pasta alla norma" was overcooked and flavourless, the carbonara without seasoning and the meatballs with aubergines mediocre.

30/11/2024: What a night!! Barbara and her team are simply amazing! We lucked out and ended up having American Thanksgiving dinner, Roman style, along with a family from Texas and it was incredibly fun. You will feel instantly welcome, thanks to Barbara, and she will spoil you with 5 star food and drinks. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough! Grazie Mille, Barbara!!!

29/11/2024: Absolutely the BEST experience anyone could ever have !!! This wasn’t our first time there we had to go back! The food is superb and the atmosphere is incredible, she makes you feel as though your at home and we have met people from all over the world. If you go to Rome and miss this then you are missing out on the best thing ever !

03/11/2024: Excellent location, environment with attention to detail, kindness and professionalism. Claudia, the perfect hostess. The food was excellent. Highly recommended place for a quick, quality lunch. The bar also offers an outdoor space for eating. We will be back!

02/01/2025: I expected good service but they outdid themselves! All the fish from the starter to the second course of the New Year's Day lunch was delicious, plentiful and fresh. The environment is not very large but well organised. The staff very kind. The fixed menu did not disappoint me: many raw and cooked appetizers, two excellent half-first courses, two well-seasoned and served second courses, sorbet, dip, mix of fresh fruit, panettone, water, wine, coffee and digestive. I and the other 10 diners at my table were satisfied.

11/01/2025: Lovely place, but sadly it did not live up to its location for the quality and price of the food. I ordered meatballs from the Pasta section, assuming I would have pasta with my meatballs, but instead I only received 5 meat balls in a like warm tomato sauce. My partners burger was a a larger meal and better value but again, nothing to write home about. I ordered a grande beer and received a standard size and my partners cappuccino was cold on arrival, making it extremely difficult to recommend this place, unfortunately.

09/01/2025: This is the best Italian restaurant in Essen. Go ahead, try it out! I live in Australia now, but every time I'm back in Germany I go here almost every other day (live around the corner). Salman and his crew bring the best food to the table and have become very good friends 👍🏼

30/11/2024: Less than one is not possible!!!! How disgusting! We called for four pizzas and two biscuits. A gentleman answers me and hands me Mrs. Maria. They mumble something between themselves, then the gentleman begins by saying "Mari is fine at 7.30pm otherwise after 8.30pm" they argue among themselves and I the lady replies "if you come straight away it's fine otherwise later" ...but we're joking I wonder how we can stay open!!!!!!! And it's not the first time!!!! We have fallen back into ignorance several times, approximation and confusion NEVER AGAIN to be avoided
