30/07/2025: A fantastic place. We popped in for a quick beer to escape the heat and were treated like a beloved aunt. The atmosphere was casual, homey, friendly, and very Italian.

08/08/2025: Excellent ice cream shop, congratulations. We stumbled upon it by accident, and we're definitely not local. Lots of flavors available, full-bodied and delicious ice cream, and the cones are also good quality. The staff are friendly and fast.

27/07/2025: We went there today for the first time, and I have to say the gelato is incredibly good, delicious, with so much choice and variety, not to mention the interior, which I think is one of the coolest gelato shop interiors I've ever seen, in true Castelli Romani style, with its barrel, and super-cute girls. I absolutely recommend it, I hope to return again!!!

21/08/2025: My family and I arrived in Valmontone as a stopover after a very long journey from Sicily, and this restaurant truly revitalized us, both for the food and the friendliness and kindness. The saltimbocca alla romana was exquisite, as were the sautéed herbs on the side. The same was true for the special pasta with cacio e pepe and the straccetti. Highly recommended, the price was right, I've never tasted saltimbocca this good. Thank you for everything!

20/08/2025: Excellent Roman restaurant: traditional dishes cooked to perfection, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff and fair prices. The amatriciana and gricia are highly recommended!

11/08/2025: The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. The gelato is truly excellent, in my opinion among the best in Rome. Yesterday I tried the pineapple and basil one, and it was delicious! The bruscolino is definitely worth a try.

11/08/2025: A lot has changed. For over 50 years, it was my go-to pizzeria. Now, the pizza has changed, and it takes forever to get it at the table. I'll definitely give it another chance, but only once, and then I'll put a big black mark on it.

11/08/2025: I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years, so I can describe my experience at this place with calm, objective clarity. The pizza dough tastes like chewing gum, hard to digest. Table service is incredibly slow, with a wait of sixty to ninety minutes. The staff mixes up orders, and the food they order doesn't always match the food they get. To pay, I went to the cashier and handed my order to a lady with glasses. She gave me change but didn't issue a receipt. Specifically, other customers were also denied receipts.

28/07/2025: The octopus tiella was EXTRAORDINARY, like all the others we tried during our vacation near Rome. We stocked up to take back to Milan so we could enjoy a bit of the Pontine coast at home. It's definitely a must-try every time we visit Rome.

06/07/2025: I have a true adoration for traditional popular savory pies and after having tasted many of them, for me the podium is composed of Ligurian pies (the one with chard from Genoa or the green Ponentena) and the tiella di Gaeta that in this place in Rome I find very good for a crust with a perfect dough, not too bready to leave room for the filling HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

31/07/2025: The service was not welcoming, the dishes did not meet expectations, the cuisine was superficial and truly basic.

27/08/2025: A restaurant with great potential, except for a few small issues: we asked for a buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto (€10) and were served a plate with four slices of prosciutto and two small, refrigerated eggplant slices passed off as buffalo mozzarella. We specifically asked for two Italian appetizers (there were five of us: the waiter assured us that one appetizer was perfect for two people, so two would be fine with the addition of prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella). Besides having to reiterate our order because the waiter insisted on forcing us to eat the entire appetizer (an Italian appetizer plus tripe, which we don't eat but apparently, according to the waiter, "you can't say you don't like it if you don't try it," even in a rather annoyed way. We don't eat tripe because we've already eaten it, and don't indulge our taste buds), we were served a plate with 10 slices of cured meat (count them, not just a random number) and two small eggplant slices, the same ones as the buffalo mozzarella described above. Vegetable dish: two slices of zucchini, two slices of eggplant, and some puntarelle all'agro (sour chicory): this one was also recommended (one for two people), but the reality is that only one person can eat it: we felt like five ants putting off food for the winter, and considering the overall price of just the appetizer, it's truly surreal. The first courses are the most borderline and, even days later, still confuse me: the dishes themselves are excellent (they could have improved the gluten-free dish: the short pasta, like the penne, never pair them with any particular ragù, the sauce stays on the plate and doesn't hold together at all), but there's so much, so much oil. Too much oil. Perfect place, impeccable courtesy from the owners, and the final price of €120, split between five people, was also excellent (but ruined by the fake refrigerator hoax and the liters of oil on the plate), but they should reconsider the positions of some of the workers, from the kitchen to the dining room.

26/08/2025: Oh dear! How me and my family love Rainero’s restaurant. And now, with new location in the center of Nemi. So much fantastic food, absolutely the best pasta, my daughter dreams of it ♥️ Sides are delicious, and the pizzas - mamma mia they are good. New wines as well, with some very high class ones among them. As always, the staff is sweet, funny, interested, even the kitchen staff. See you soon again 👍🏻

15/07/2025: One of my favorite places in Rome. Healthy, beautifully cooked food. Excellent wine list and delicious gelato! For dinner, you absolutely have to try the baked potatoes.

24/08/2025: I was pleasantly surprised. The price was very reasonable, the pizza was thin and crispy. The tiramisu was excellent and highly recommended. It's definitely very crowded; you need to reserve a table otherwise. I appreciated the continuous activity throughout the week.
