Visiting the historic Pompi location in San Giovanni is always a special treat. You can feel the history of this pastry shop, which has been delighting Romans since 1960. Besides the legendary tiramisu, their gelato and artisanal pastries are also worth trying, all top-notch. Even though it has become a world-famous chain, you can still feel the authentic atmosphere that made it famous. An institution that deserves every single star!

17/07/2026: We had dinner here two weeks ago, and everything was delicious. The fried appetizer was excellent, the pasta alla gricia with artichokes was excellent, the cutlets and fries for the little one were equally delicious, and the gelato was perfect. The staff was welcoming, kind, and helpful. The place was clean, including the bathroom.
16/07/2026: The best and most recommendable restaurant near the Colosseum. Very reasonable prices, great service, and excellent food. Edit: After a year, this review can be confirmed – it's still great ;) The best artichokes in Rome.

21/04/2026: A hidden restaurant in Aranova, but truly delicious and affordable! Highly recommended!
18/04/2026: We went there on the fly on the recommendation of a friend. The place is beautiful and quiet, the food was excellent (good doesn't do it justice), the staff was friendly and helpful, and of course, the price was right. Highly recommended. We'll be back soon!
