14/06/2025: Found it with a well-tuned GPS 😉. On a banquet day, the service was busy but efficient. I simply chose the classic, well-made cevapcici with a side of fresh fries and a light red pepper sauce. Very reasonable prices. It's worth leaving the crowded coast to find some peace and quiet. Highly recommended.

27/05/2025: Home cooking, or rather home cooking, of great quality. The vegetable roll was a very creative and tasty option. The colors of the presentation glimpsed the quality of the dish. The red of the beetroot added its colorful touch. Regarding the mixed grill, we were so impressed by the generous quality that a single portion would be enough for two, so be careful. If you want to have a lunch of appetizer, first course and second course, I recommend not stuffing yourself with that soft bread, especially if you want the mixed grill. The ham was good, but nothing more, too bad they only offer that appetizer on the menu. The Terrano semifreddo did not leave us particularly impressed even if it helped to refresh the palate.

26/06/2025: My recent experience at the Golden Horse sandwich shop was, without hesitation, among the most disappointing and unpleasant that I can count in the panorama of informal catering. First of all, it is necessary to report an unjustifiable delay of twenty minutes in the delivery of the order, despite the fact that the place did not have a sufficient turnout to justify such waiting times. Such operational inefficiency reveals a completely inadequate management, devoid of the minimum respect for the customer. As if this were not enough, the sandwiches were served to us cold, in clear contradiction with any acceptable standard of catering, even the simplest. This detail, which might seem marginal in other contexts, here is configured as an emblem of unacceptable carelessness and systemic neglect. The professionalism of the staff, then, proved to be lacking from every point of view: a listless, rude attitude, almost annoyed by the presence of the customers, made the interaction unpleasant and devoid of any kind of courtesy. Not a smile, not a word of courtesy, not an attempt to remedy the poor service: nothing. Finally, the quality of the food was surprisingly low. The ingredients appeared cheap, lacking freshness and completely devoid of flavor; all presented without care or dignity. In a gastronomic panorama now saturated with similar proposals, Golden Horse manages the unfortunate feat of standing out in a negative way. In conclusion, I strongly advise against Golden Horse to anyone who has even a minimal respect for their time, their palate and their dignity as a customer. An experience to forget.

Managed by Giovanni, a true golden man, always kind and helpful to everyone, the place enthusiastically welcomes the Le vie delle Foto exhibition from 1st to 30th April, which can be visited during opening hours. An unmissable stop for those who want to enjoy a coffee in the company of art. Long live Gran Bar Italia!

02/07/2025: Terrible, NEVER AGAIN. Unfriendly man who was very annoyed about our arrival. We were parked between two permanent campers, one of whom peed in bottles and then transferred them to canisters, so it stank of urine everywhere and it was unbearable there. When we complained, the unfriendly man just said "no, this can't be" and didn't want to do anything. We actually wanted to stay two nights, but left early after the first night because we felt so uncomfortable. The sanitary facilities were okay, but not enough for the site. On top of that, the campsite looks like a rubbish dump and is very run down. The only positive thing is the view from the front of the campsite down to Trieste. There are also good bus connections and it's quick and easy to get to the city. But that's it.

01/06/2025: First time at the Coretti osmiza. Very good cold cuts and cheeses, as well as the wine, both white and red, and the ricotta dessert. Convivial atmosphere and absolutely reasonable bill. To return.

01/12/2024: Excellent dishes of typical Trieste, Istrian and Friulian cuisine, with happy contaminations with that of other Italian regions. Simple but welcoming atmosphere, like an old tavern, like you don't find anymore; the managers are very kind and friendly. Very good wine. We found the place by chance, walking through the streets of Trieste, and we will return! The sausage with beans alla Trinità, sauerkraut and potatoes in tecia is very tasty! Keep it up!

17/07/2025: Visiting Trieste ans Miramare, kid get hungry so we stopped. Penne Alla ragout was very good. Octopus grilled also. 3 day later we extra visite again for Spaghetti Vongole and kid had Lasagne. arround 40€ include 3 softdrinks was Abs. correct for the quaility. In service 1 lady and 2 gentleman even with my limited Italian they where very helpful. So spot I will go back in the next visite to the Collio and Adria

29/12/2024: Locale accogliente e caldo nell'atmosfera, cibi ben preparati( abbiamo preso carpaccio di cervo, una zuppa di zucca-più di una semplice zuppa- un primo di pasta Carciofo e un petto d'anatra, e vino al calice)...buoni e saporiti, prezzo adeguato... Una sola pecca: alcuni, pochi, tavoli tavoli hanno delle sedie di legno, belle a vedersi, ma scomodissime, e cuscini che scivolano....se hai un minimo di problemi alla schiena, quando ti alzi sei abbastanza dolorante, e dopo un'ora non vedi l'ora di alzarti...

02/12/2024: Il locale è situato nel centro storico di Trieste, all'interno del ghetto ebraico, a nostro parere ancora una delle zone più suggestive della città. Passeggiando per questo piccolo dedalo di viuzze, ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante e appena letto, nel menù all’esterno, la presenza della Jota triestina (zuppa tipica di crauti fermentati e fagioli) abbiamo immediatamente prenotato per la sera successiva. A differenza di altri recensori, ci siamo trovati molto bene. Premesso che se si volesse optare per il pesce ci sarebbe il ristorante difronte (sempre dello stesso titolare), qui abbiamo trovato un ambiente carino, un cameriere gentile e professionale, del buon cibo (ci sono piaciute molto la Jota triestina, e i secondi di carne: la Calandraca e la Porcina cotta alla brace), ottimo vino rosso consigliato e al bicchiere e per finire uno zabaglione da applausi. Anche il costo appartiene sicuramente a una fascia di qualità superiore, mentre noi lo abbiamo trovato nella media. Non abbiamo nulla da lamentare, anzi saremmo tornati la sera successiva se non fosse che il locale era chiuso. Occorre prenotare perché non è grande come locale, ma ne vale la pena se si resta in centro-citta'.
