25/09/2025: Having been to Grado once a year since 2019, a meal at Il Canavon is simply a must...we made a reservation through the hotel as usual. When we arrived...quickly, "have a reservation." Yes, we'd like to sit outside, there were three tables free...No, it's not possible, you have to sit inside...fine. After a long wait, a waiter came with an iPad. There were four of us and we wanted to pay separately, which was a bit inconvenient. In the meantime, other guests, including us, took their seats and received their drinks before us...service was surly, curt, and you felt like you were disturbing anyone. The food wasn't bad, but it was poorly presented...the shrimp hadn't had their intestines removed, which wasn't very appetizing...oh well. When paying...the waiter said, "Go to the cashier, I don't know who's paying with cash or card"...even though it had been agreed upon beforehand. We were very disappointed and are considering going back in the future. There are plenty of options in Grado...a real shame, because the place is really great. We were really looking forward to this evening, especially to showing our friends this restaurant. P.S. We noticed that the management doesn't respond to reviews, neither positive nor negative.

24/09/2025: Update 2025: After eating here for many years, this time the service was so unwilling and without a smile that we (there were four of us this time) wondered what was causing so much grumpiness. OMG, rolling eyes, no drinks served for a long time, probably a mistake by the chef who didn't devein the shrimp, and then a harsh tone when paying. A few streets away, we had friendly service and excellent food on three evenings. So we know where they won't want to see us again in the future, what a pity for this lovely restaurant! Previous reviews... we've liked it here for years and have always been satisfied. Lovely courtyard in a narrow alley.

20/05/2025: Basándonos en varias reseñas de Hendrick_NL, decidimos darle una oportunidad a este restaurante para el almuerzo. Y me alegro de haberlo hecho, porque nos demostró lo que es esencialmente la versión italiana de un restaurante estadounidense. Buena comida rápida a precios económicos. ¡Ahora entendemos dónde van los italianos a almorzar!

07/08/2025: Es gibt viele positive Aspekte dieses Lokals: Verlässliche Öffnungszeiten (in Porto San Rocco nicht selbstverständlich), herzliche Eigentümerfamilie, vernünftige Preise und tolle Lage. Die Pizzeria bietet eine große Auswahl an wirklich köstlichen Pizzen. Die Trattoria-Karte ist ordentlich, aber leider werden (zu) viele Convenience-Produkte serviert, was wirklich schade ist. Sie sind nicht schlecht, aber man merkt die Massenware. Die Getränkeauswahl ist einfach, birgt aber kleine nette Überraschungen wie die Biere der südtiroler Brauerei Forst.

27/07/2025: Che bello!!!! Ambiente familiare, Simonetta una proprietaria che ti fa sentire a casa. Il mangiare? Che si mangia puzza , pesce è veramente fotonico. Ho mangiato una pasta con gli scampi ( giganti) che era fotonica!! Non lo consiglio... LO STRACONSIGLIO. Complimenti a tutti. Torneremo presto

14/10/2025: Very expensive pizza, but I'd say no to calling it pizza! Low-quality ingredients, small pizza, and high prices—it's just not the right thing! I'm sorry.

06/10/2025: If I could, I'd give it 0 stars. Why? I'd be happy to explain. We (6 people) arrived at this "restaurant" after a really long and hot day in Trieste. We wanted to sit at a table for 8 because it was in the shade. We weren't allowed to—there are too few of us. Strangely, the place was completely empty except for one other table. So we had to sit in the sun and were treated unfriendly and condescendingly from the start. The icing on the cake was when, after 5 minutes, a family of 5 came and were allowed to sit at that table. Since we were hungry and thirsty, we stayed, and that was our next mistake. The food is inedible: wobbly pizza with careless toppings, and the pasta tastes like fish—odd for Bolognese. Parmesan cheese would have been nice, too. I can only warn against this place and advise everyone to skip it 👌

01/05/2025: Nel cuore antico di Grado, tra le calli strette e pittoresche e all’ombra della solenne Basilica patriarcale paleocristiana, si trova questo ristorante che ci è stato suggerito da gente del posto. Abbiamo iniziato con spaghetti alle cozze e pancetta croccante e sauté di cozze, seguiti da calamari fritti e orata alla griglia. Ho concluso con un croccantino al rum. Il tutto innaffiato con un ottimo Fiore di Campo Lis Neris.

23/09/2025: It is a small restaurant in the centre of Pordenone on Corso Garibaldi. You can eat everything from meat to fish. The tapas served with white or red wine are good. The service is impeccable and fast.

26/10/2025: The food wasn't bad, but the wait was insane! An hour and 15 minutes, with half the place empty. The fact that they never apologized for the wait, not every time they passed our table, nor when it came time to pay the bill, makes me think these are normal wait times for them.

21/10/2025: We stopped for lunch. After ordering, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive, and no one ever came by to offer an explanation. Our requests were met with rudeness. Even when our food arrived, we didn't receive an apology for the delay. The food quality and prices were average, although €15 for a sandwich without a side seemed a bit steep.

03/09/2025: There's nothing worse than seeing someone serving you just because they have to. Whoever sits at the table doesn't have to be a number. Ten seconds would be enough for a joke, even a stupid one.

29/04/2025: Desiderosi di assaggiare il prosciutto di San Daniele, siamo stati attratti dal menu con proposte diversificate. Il prosciutto ci è sembrato buono, ma più salato di come ci saremmo aspettati. Inoltre avevamo ordinato, come assaggio, un piatto di tagliolini alla trota affumicata (prezzo sugli 11 €) da dividerci in due: la cameriera ha ribattuto "quindi due mezze porzioni", senza specificare altro. Al momento del conto la sgradevole sorpresa: le due mezze porzioni ci sono state fatte pagare 8,00 € l'una, quindi applicando un aumento del 50% sul prezzo dichiarato! Abbiamo fatto presente il nostro disappunto e la giustificazione è stata che si tratta della loro "politica aziendale"... Trovo la cosa molto scorretta, ancor più dopo aver riscontrato che lo stesso inconveniente era già stato riportato in altre recensioni: quindi, poco trasparenti e pure recidivi!

26/04/2025: Ancora seduta al tavolo scrivo, e non per la prima volta (segno che ci ritorno spesso), una recensione di questo locale che resta una garanzia a San Daniele se si vuole gustare il prosciutto e non solo (magnifici i tagliolini con verdure di stagione). Cameriere molto accoglienti, attente e sorridenti. L'ideale per un pasto rapido ma non per pasti in cui si vuole allegramente temporeggiare. Perché allora solo tre pallini nella valutazione? Dolci con prezzo troppo elevato se rapportato a ristorazione di alto livello e pulizia non più quella di un tempo. Seduta non perfettamente pulita (perché liberando il tavolo dallo sporco è ovvio ricada sulla sedia se non si procede a sua volta a pulirla), una chiazza appiccicosa sul tavolo sulla quale ho incollato utilmente lo scontrino della comanda per non perderlo e pulizia perfettibile dei bicchieri; non è facile con tanto movimento di persone ma è fondamentale: insopportabile bere in bicchieri al calice non perfettamente puliti. A parte questi aspetti, facilmente risolvibili con un po' di impegno, continuo a consigliarlo.
