18/08/2025: Small but well-kept! Delicious, fresh food! High-quality ingredients and fair prices! Helpful and friendly staff! I think it's one of the best Trieste taverns still in the area!

04/08/2025: Closed at 9pm even though it says so. Closed at 9:30pm. Place full of drunkards, dangerous people, poor food, terrible sanitary conditions.

22/10/2025: I only went because another piadina shop was full, as I've had a bad experience there several times in the past. Last night, repeat. Rude; extremely slow even when the place was empty; pitiful piadinas; truly miserable; incredibly expensive for what you offer. Furthermore, after waiting 30 minutes with the place empty, they even got the ingredients wrong.

12/10/2025: Excellent restaurant for lunch breaks, the dishes are excellent and the staff is very helpful and courteous. €14 for a full menu including a first course, second course, side dish, and coffee.

06/06/2025: I stopped here for lunch, which should have a fixed-price menu to help workers. I decided to save some money by asking to bring only the second course with side dish. When it came to the bill, they asked me for €14 and when I asked for an explanation, they told me that by taking just one course it was made more abundant so the cost was the same as the full menu. Basically, I paid €14 for 4 slices of grilled pork loin filled with salt, half a spoonful of polenta, a portion of mixed salad, water and coffee. Practically a steal, I definitely won't be back.

24/08/2025: Beautiful place, very well-kept and welcoming atmosphere. Very good and easy-to-digest pizzas, fresh ingredients, and a wide variety of options, including those with intolerances. Very kind, friendly, and always smiling staff. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy a good pizza with friends in a nice place with guaranteed good service.

25/09/2025: Having been to Grado once a year since 2019, a meal at Il Canavon is simply a must...we made a reservation through the hotel as usual. When we arrived...quickly, "have a reservation." Yes, we'd like to sit outside, there were three tables free...No, it's not possible, you have to sit inside...fine. After a long wait, a waiter came with an iPad. There were four of us and we wanted to pay separately, which was a bit inconvenient. In the meantime, other guests, including us, took their seats and received their drinks before us...service was surly, curt, and you felt like you were disturbing anyone. The food wasn't bad, but it was poorly presented...the shrimp hadn't had their intestines removed, which wasn't very appetizing...oh well. When paying...the waiter said, "Go to the cashier, I don't know who's paying with cash or card"...even though it had been agreed upon beforehand. We were very disappointed and are considering going back in the future. There are plenty of options in Grado...a real shame, because the place is really great. We were really looking forward to this evening, especially to showing our friends this restaurant. P.S. We noticed that the management doesn't respond to reviews, neither positive nor negative.

24/09/2025: Update 2025: After eating here for many years, this time the service was so unwilling and without a smile that we (there were four of us this time) wondered what was causing so much grumpiness. OMG, rolling eyes, no drinks served for a long time, probably a mistake by the chef who didn't devein the shrimp, and then a harsh tone when paying. A few streets away, we had friendly service and excellent food on three evenings. So we know where they won't want to see us again in the future, what a pity for this lovely restaurant! Previous reviews... we've liked it here for years and have always been satisfied. Lovely courtyard in a narrow alley.

26/10/2025: Prices increased? The pastry chef has changed, the pastries are no longer the same as before. What a shame.

07/08/2025: Es gibt viele positive Aspekte dieses Lokals: Verlässliche Öffnungszeiten (in Porto San Rocco nicht selbstverständlich), herzliche Eigentümerfamilie, vernünftige Preise und tolle Lage. Die Pizzeria bietet eine große Auswahl an wirklich köstlichen Pizzen. Die Trattoria-Karte ist ordentlich, aber leider werden (zu) viele Convenience-Produkte serviert, was wirklich schade ist. Sie sind nicht schlecht, aber man merkt die Massenware. Die Getränkeauswahl ist einfach, birgt aber kleine nette Überraschungen wie die Biere der südtiroler Brauerei Forst.

27/07/2025: Che bello!!!! Ambiente familiare, Simonetta una proprietaria che ti fa sentire a casa. Il mangiare? Che si mangia puzza , pesce è veramente fotonico. Ho mangiato una pasta con gli scampi ( giganti) che era fotonica!! Non lo consiglio... LO STRACONSIGLIO. Complimenti a tutti. Torneremo presto

01/05/2025: Nel cuore antico di Grado, tra le calli strette e pittoresche e all’ombra della solenne Basilica patriarcale paleocristiana, si trova questo ristorante che ci è stato suggerito da gente del posto. Abbiamo iniziato con spaghetti alle cozze e pancetta croccante e sauté di cozze, seguiti da calamari fritti e orata alla griglia. Ho concluso con un croccantino al rum. Il tutto innaffiato con un ottimo Fiore di Campo Lis Neris.
