29/07/2025: The atmosphere was very noisy due to the construction workers across the street drilling at 3:00 PM. We also waited over 25 minutes for two plates of pasta and a bottle of water. The staff was friendly, but we had some difficulty with the bill.

Unfortunately, my pasta bolognese was completely tasteless, and the sauce did not have the character I expected: it was neither spicy nor meaty - it was simply pasta cooked in salt water, with neither texture nor taste satisfactory.” “The atmosphere and service were nice, but if the food experience does not live up to the price/value expectations, it is a disappointment. 27/09/2025: The Apulian and the Triestina only saw the 5-star rating online. It seems that many of the positive reviews aren't genuine, but rather written by people close to the management. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't positive and doesn't at all match the image they want to project. Transparency should come first.

14/09/2025: Pizza with good dough but too much tomato sauce, which kept the top crust raw during cooking. Poor service: they brought us water, and I had to ask for glasses later... the pizza chef sneezed on the pizzas. At least the water was good.

17/06/2025: Era da un po’ che volevo provare questo posticino, anche perché avevo sentito pareri contrastanti sulla cucina proposta; quindi, ero curiosa di farmi un’opinione personale. Il menù è piuttosto essenziale, ma con alcune proposte interessanti e originali. Abbiamo ordinato dei taglieri di salumi e formaggi da condividere, davvero di ottima qualità. Io ho scelto anche dei macaron salati con diverse guarnizioni: l’idea è curiosa, ma il biscotto era poco friabile e non semplicissimo da mangiare. Consiglierei di ridurre leggermente la dimensione per renderli più pratici. Come primo piatto ho preso un orzotto con zucchine, caprino e olio alla menta. La presentazione era molto curata, ma il gusto piuttosto piatto: non si percepiva bene né il sapore del caprino né l’aroma dell’olio alla menta. Nel complesso la cucina non mi ha convinta del tutto, ma consiglio comunque il posto per un aperitivo al tramonto, anche solo per godersi il paesaggio e l’atmosfera

20/04/2025: Posto come sempre fantastico, ideale per un aperitivo, soprattutto se goduto all'esterno. Gli affettati discreti, per i formaggi stiamo ancora attendendo di conoscere che formaggi erano. Il secondo un disastro, una tagliata di pollo cotta a bassa temperatura, che non era tagliata, di sapore indefinito con punte di limone. Anche il dolce , cheesecake, non corrispondeva alle aspettative, alla fine era una crostatina alla ricotta e neppure troppo buona . Peccato, perché in passato questo locale era per noi un riferimento per la cucina genuina e tradizione con vari da 10 e lode.

15/06/2025: On a Saturday evening, the three of us were the only guests. It wasn't very inviting, and they only provided a menu upon request, with the caveat that there was hardly any meat, mostly fish, and not every dish was available. We just had a drink and moved on. What a pity.

30/09/2025: During the renovation we were given rooms on the top floor without a lift and still to be renovated under the roof not exactly a nice value to see living and above all paying other people on the lower floors everything was ok maybe we were the unlucky ones and in any case we were not warned of the differences in quality of the rooms by the manager

01/06/2025: Location più unica che rara alla periferia di Udine, immersa nel verde e protetta dai rumori e dalla frenesia della cittadina friulana, servizio veloce e cordiale del personale di sala, percepita armonia tra i camerieri Sara e Manuel e la responsabile Kenia; ho provato su consiglio la pizza con la scarola, ( pensavo ci fosse solo menù da ristorante): ottimo feedback, impasto leggero con sicuramente una lievitazione di 48h o più, base bianca, la scarola è ripassata in padella, e considerando le lavorazioni, la qualità degli ingredienti e la presentazione...rapporto qualità prezzo centrato. Recommended are the homemade "liptauer" and the bread dumplings with goulash. Prices vary, of course, depending on the type of food (a quick but tasty snack or a more traditional lunch), but they're always reasonable.

14/05/2025: The place is nice near the Maggiore hospital. I wanted to eat a sandwich with tongue so we stopped here. Unfortunately the tongue was hard and a good part of it had nerves (not being very cooked they remained hard instead of melting). We reported the problem...and the answer was that another customer had also had it and had not complained!!!! I have eaten tongue in many other places here in Trieste and I have to say that here they really don't know how to make it. Maybe they will be good on the rest...I hope so!!

25/08/2025: I'm giving 2 stars to avoid giving one. The place is very large and has a lot of potential, but the feeling of poor cleanliness is high. The menu only offered toasties and hamburgers, nothing more. Maybe August is off-season for them; I hope they offer more choices in the winter. Anyway, we had lunch with two ham and cheese toasties, no toppings, lousy bread, terrible quality. I don't treat customers like that; we're tourists, but we're not stupid. Highly not recommended.

22/08/2025: I want to be objective: the amatriciana pasta was very good, everything was fine. The service was good (polite and kind). What wasn't good was the dessert: tiramisu. I ordered the tiramisu (mascarpone cream, coffee, and ladyfingers on the menu) and I found a tiramisu with candied fruit and walnut pieces inside. Obviously, you put two and two together and it's immediately clear they recycled the leftover Colomba cake to make a dessert. Aside from the appropriateness of doing this, I wonder: what if someone is allergic to nuts? They order the tiramisu thinking they're safe from any risk, and instead... Failed. Catering is about the quality of the food, not about ripping customers off to recycle leftovers. Moreover, they disregard the list of allergens with very high risks.

27/04/2025: Arrivati a gradisca ci siamo accorti di uesta osteria.... molto rumorosa all interno con gente da tutte le parti, d altronde è un osteria Gnocchi al gulash buonissimi e fatti in casa frivo da leccarsi i baffi Prezzo giusto per l ambiente Bagni all esterno del locale da ristrutturare sono dell ante guerra ma tutto sommato un ottima scoperta.. Servizio velocissimo bravi

25/04/2025: Gradisca d'Isonzo, negli anni 80, era una delle tante località vicine al confine, sovraffollata di militari. Io ero uno di questi giovani e spesso, con i miei amici, andavo in questo locale, che mi sembra venisse definito "frasca". Ricordo che mangiavamo un tagliere di affettati misti e formaggi, con buon vino locale e pane squisito. A distanza di 40 anni sono ripassato da Gradisca, l'ho cercato e scavando nella memoria l'ho trovato. Praticamente un tuffo nel passato. Il locale mi è sembrato più o meno lo stesso, caldo ed accogliente, il tagliere di salumi misti, rigorosamente affettati a mano come allora, era squisito, formaggio pane e vino si sono confermati come me li ricordavo. I dolci molto buoni. Io ho preso uno strudel e mia figlia una palacinca. Sia io che la mia famiglia siamo usciti molto soddisfatti e sazi. Ci ritornerò appena possibile.

02/06/2025: *booked through booking* Maybe as a restaurant it could be good, I personally have not tried it and I do not intend to judge on anything; however, as a B&B it failed. The idea was nice, a quiet place far from the chaotic city, surrounded by nature with a swimming pool and many rooms, however the structure is abandoned to itself, the owners non-existent, reachable only through booking. We have had a series of problems with other customers of the structure, and so far I do not blame the owners for the incorrectness of 70% of the clientele of this place, however I blamed them for the absence following various reports. It is a pet friendly B&B, and so far, I have nothing to say, most of the clientele is disrespectful, dogs left for hours to bark in the rooms, alone, while the owners were out. The owners were warned multiple times of this problem without coming to the structure and solving it. Once called they agreed that the dogs should not be left alone, but the problem was not solved. I know this is not a problem that will always arise but the absence of the owners in this situation says a lot. Also the room that was assigned to us is not the same as the photos, so if you would like to choose this place based on the rooms, be careful, booking is aware of this problem and is currently resolving the issue.
