20/09/2025: Unfortunately a bad experience: over an hour for a veggie burger, fried chips and an small plate of gamberi, a single coke and a spritz. All this for 46€. To expensive. The aperitif was really small. The burger was ok, but really small and extremely expensive for being vegetarian. Be careful of the other plates, a simple spaghetti with pomodoro 16€.

05/10/2025: We've been coming here for a while, and the quality of the service and products never declines. The coffee is always fantastic, both morning and afternoon. The croissants are fresh, just baked, fragrant, and delicious... I couldn't say which flavor I like best! As for the desserts...they're all very fresh and beautiful, but a little too sweet for my taste. Many of them only taste like sugar, not enough cream. What a shame! But you can tell the pastry chefs work here with so much talent and passion. Our favorite place for coffee in Trieste. We've been coming here for quite a while, and the quality of both service and products never goes down. The coffee is fantastic every single time—whether it's morning or afternoon. The croissants are freshly baked, fragrant, and delicious. I honestly can't decide which flavor I like best! As for the cakes...they're all fresh and beautifully made, but a bit too sweet for my taste. In most of them you can only taste the sugar and the flavor of the cream gets lost — such a shame! But it's clear that truly talented pastry chefs work here, putting care into every single dessert. Our favorite spot for coffee and a croissant in Trieste!

30/09/2025: Among the many delicious desserts, the Dobos cake is highly recommended. It's been ages since I've had one this good.

03/11/2025: A trattoria with a fixed-price menu, perfect for working people. Unpretentious, but still average food and reasonable prices.

02/11/2025: Renovated interior, simple but nice. They have a playroom for children. I didn't like the pizza; it had too much mozzarella and the dough tasted like cardboard. The fries were generous portions.

23/09/2025: The place is really ugly. The staff is friendly. The food is mediocre. Augusto is certainly not typical cuisine. Indefinable.

10/09/2025: We went to see the small town of Gorizia, very pretty but not very lively. We looked up food on Google and found this restaurant (there were only a few open). I should mention there were two waiters, one dark-haired with a thinning, rather scruffy and dry hair, while the other was a guy with a short bob, very friendly and pleasant. As for the food, it was pretty average. The worst thing was the price: two people with a starter, main course, dessert, and a coffee—nothing out of the ordinary. We didn't eat eels or anything like that—they charged us €138.40 (almost €70 per person). It's a real steal, as for that price you'd almost be eating in a Michelin-starred establishment.

03/11/2025: Everything was perfect. We went to this place for lunch, and I have to say it was quite crowded. The wait was a bit long, but it was worth it. The service was perfect, and the girl in the dining room was very nice and friendly. I read the review before... Yes, there are two giant dogs, but, as the girl also told us, they never come downstairs (where the tables are) unless she calls them. So, I don't know what dogs the lady saw wandering around the tables. The food was perfect and good. The price was below average. It's family-run, and you can tell. We might not be in a Michelin-starred restaurant, but that's what makes it nice. Ps. If you don't like dogs, don't even come in. Dogs are part of the family and don't take anyone into consideration; in fact, they always lie down and mind their own business.

02/11/2025: The atmosphere is dated and dirty. The cutlery, glasses, and homemade water bottles were in terrible condition. The food was unremarkable. Not to mention two enormous dogs roaming freely throughout the place, oblivious to the customers. Absolutely avoid.

05/11/2025: Excellent products, top-notch bruschetta, but the delivery was OVER THE TOP. (Edit) After pointing out the delay, the owner says, "Well... they're express, you have to wait." Two hours for 6 glasses of wine and 10 bruschetta. Evidently, they're VERY LITTLE EXPRESS, unless the products arrive directly from the manufacturer at the time of ordering. 06/10/2024: We arrived at this restaurant a little "desperate" because the two restaurants nearby that we wanted to try were full and having a hungry little child there was no time to look elsewhere. The waitress who welcomed us was very kind but, unfortunately, this alone cannot make up for the rest of the evening. At the table we were not given a menu but it was read to us by the waitress which, in my opinion, causes more than one problem 1. I can't take a few minutes to calmly choose what to have, having a clear idea of ​​what the menu includes, without having to ask the waitress several times "wait, what was the second first course you said?" 2. I have no visibility of the prices of the dishes I am ordering and I find this very incorrect 3. if you also add that the waitress is foreign, the result is that you are also embarrassed to say to her "as an excuse? What did you say?" more than twice, so you give up on understanding half the menu and then go home wondering "but what were the tagliatelle with chicken in the end?". Having overcome this initial obstacle we ordered and what arrived were some tagliolini with San Daniele (with what looked like cream) which were very dry, a frico with polenta which looked more like a piece of melted cheese, some chips which were certainly fried in still cold oil, so they just tasted of oil, and the entrana with potatoes, described as a succulent cut that can be eaten with the preferred cooking method (which in my case is rare) and instead two whole slices of meat arrived at the table on top of the valerian salad which gave a lot the idea of ​​two shoe soles thrown on top of the salad, with the cooking decidedly NOT rare. It must be said that there was nothing left on the plates because we were hungry, so I'm not saying that everything was inedible. I also don't like it when at the end of the evening the waitress asks "did you eat well? Was the meat good?" answer "NO" because in any case there are people who work behind it, who may have had a bad day etc and in the heat of the moment I may not be so diplomatic, so I prefer to say that everything went well, pay the bill and leave knowing that I will never set foot again in that restaurant... This is why I don't really like to review a place negatively, I prefer to review things that have particularly impressed me in a positive way.. But in this case I decided to leave a review because, in addition to everything that went wrong, I discovered (only after the receipt was issued) that I had paid 22 euros for those two shoe soles and it particularly annoyed me! Looking back we could guess how the evening would go from the fact that the restaurants around were full and this one only had our table occupied...

26/10/2025: New management, simple and very, very good menu, a bit of a wait, but worth it. Dishes I've never tried elsewhere (like the pumpkin flan with fondue)—I can finally say I've eaten something I've never had before. The owner is very kind, the place is very welcoming in every way; he and his shy little dog make you feel right at home. We'll definitely be returning, perhaps in the summer to enjoy the Collio at the garden tables.

12/10/2025: Always a delight. Excellent pastries, superb croissants, and very friendly service. In October, only open Saturdays and Sundays.

12/08/2025: Good bread, we especially like the crispy ciabatta. They also sell brioches, donuts, doughnuts, etc. The price is a bit high for both the bread and the brioches (€1.80). There's no bar and no tables.

04/08/2025: Som jag angav i rubriken så beställde vi en schnitzel men fick ett gigantiskt stort monster jag lyckades nästan äta upp men det blev omöjligt, men det smakade helt okej. Detta resturang besöket gick jag inte ensam utan med bekanta, INGEN var ens nära att äta upp. Vi rullade ut ur restaurangen fyllda till bredden men nord italiensk kalv. Sammanfattning: Helt okej mat, toaletten var sisådär, trevliga men långsamma servitriser.

13/03/2025: Known for its karaoke with super DJ Aldo...comfortable place, friendly and welcoming staff, ample parking, stunning outdoor garden...really worth it!!!
