16/07/2025: After the first course, we were abandoned. No one came to ask us if we wanted anything else. After an hour and a quarter, we left. The best at the cashier. “Hey, did you want a second course too?” Two starters, two Cokes, and two beers, €35. Shame.

02/09/2025: Anyone staying in the apartments here will have to resort to self-service. Prices for a small seafood salad (€16) are quite high, while pizza (Naples-style, thanks to its thick crust) costs €10-12.

After asking if I could bring my dog, which I agreed to, I was asked to leave by a very rude and uncivilized older waiter with gray hair (presumably the owner) simply because he had to get past the dog. He continued to grumble. A young waitress tried to salvage the situation. I don't recommend it.
31/08/2025: Extremely rude waiter, he wouldn't even bill us separately (I needed a separate receipt for work reasons). He magically backed down when I threatened to call the police...

24/08/2025: I rated the food low because the calamari wasn't grilled, but soft, slimy, and still full of ink. The service didn't mention that the calamari were already served with vegetables, and they told me that they've always done it that way, which wasn't true, so they were even mocking me. The vegetables, moreover, looked like they'd been passed over a flame and placed on the plate rather than grilled. It also requires a little respect for the customers, especially since I've never offended anyone. Anyway, I hope it was just a temporary oversight.

10/12/2025: What can I say? The food was good. Unfortunately, the downside was the price, agreed upon for a dinner for 12 with a fixed menu: 50/55 euros, plus drinks.
We paid 100 euros each, drinking the house wine.
I asked for an explanation, but despite the embarrassment, I didn't get one.
Perhaps by ordering from the menu, they can't inflate the bill.
I'm sorry, but I won't go there again.
10/12/2025: Pre-Christmas dinner with friends, very satisfying food and service, but with a bittersweet ending.
We agreed well in advance on a €50 fixed menu excluding drinks and desserts. No one asked for more. The final bill rose to €100. We immediately asked for clarification, but the owner couldn't clarify the surcharge; in fact, he even imposed the payment method! Embarrassing, to say the least, and dishonest for the customers.

12/10/2025: We waited half an hour for a plate of tagliatelle with San Daniele ham: it arrived undercooked and cold.

Strange prices: a full menu costs €11.50. If you order a first course and a side dish, it's €12. Today, for a full menu, they charged me €17.50 (with the phrase "you should have read the written menu carefully").
As for the staff, it's a matter of luck.
30/09/2025: Goodbye, the good old days. You arrive at 1 p.m. and they no longer have pizza available. The menus are increasingly long and tasteless, and the prices are increasingly high. It's a shame, I still remember the days when we ate really well... I hope things can turn around.

01/06/2025: Deze plek was een enorme aanrader. Het volledige terras zat vol maar de vriendelijke obers deden toch hun best om snel een tafeltje vrij te maken. Het is hier enorm leuk buiten zitten op een gezellig pleintje in een levendige stad. Het eten was bovendien heerlijk voor een correcte prijs!
28/05/2025: Esta es una hermosa trattoria cerca de las tiendas de antigüedades y la plaza principal. Somos vegetarianos tan difíciles de comer en Trieste. ¡L’Antiquario fue un placer! Nuestros entrantes eran flores de calabacín fritas y hojas de salvia. ¡La cesta de pan también tenía un pan precioso! Tuvimos los ñoquis con pesto casero con ricota - precioso - y nos llevamos a casa el insalato con queso, semillas, col rizada, repollo rojo, así que ya estamos llenos y el insalato era ENORME! Precio muy razonable también. Definitivamente volveremos

27/10/2025: The bartender with the tattooed arm is fantastic. The service is excellent; she welcomes you with a smile and is very courteous.

08/11/2025: Rude staff, extremely long wait times, cramped spaces, and when you ask for your order, you'll get a rude and annoyed response. It's also expensive. Definitely avoid.

After pointing out the delay, the owner says, "Well... they're express, you have to wait." Two hours for 6 glasses of wine and 10 bruschetta.
Evidently, they're VERY LITTLE EXPRESS, unless the products arrive directly from the manufacturer at the time of ordering.
