09/04/2026: Business lunch... thanks for the cover charge. I ordered a large pasta dish twice... thanks! Will I be back? No thanks.

03/11/2025: I stopped by this restaurant, which also has a bar, around 2 PM with my partner, to grab a bite to eat. I saw the window was empty and sad, so I asked if it was possible to have a toasted sandwich or even a simple sandwich. The lady behind the counter rudely told me no, she could make a sandwich, but emphasized "small." I asked if she had cooked ham because I'm pregnant, and looking up, she said only prosciutto and ossocollo (which I can't eat). I told her that unfortunately I couldn't eat both and if we could get something from the restaurant. She told us she'd have to see if there was anything left, but she didn't know. At that point, we left without a chance to eat. It seemed like we were bothering her when we just wanted to have lunch and bring in some "money" like normal customers; she obviously prefers not to work! Terrible behavior, I totally advise against it!

08/03/2026: We ordered pizzas by the meter for a department party. The party took place at the end of January, but the food was so inconvenient that I wanted to forget about the experience. Today, I walked past it and remembered I hadn't reviewed the incident. Terrible response! The pizza was cold and tasteless, but still not the worst thing. I had spoken to the owner to negotiate a price within our budget, and they only changed the price upon collection (obviously increasing it). A rude and disrespectful gesture, but totally in line with the rudeness of the lady on the phone who, instead of apologizing, offered senseless excuses. Not recommended, I won't be returning!

27/01/2026: I'd like to point out that my version of events will inevitably be contrasted with the pizzeria's, as neither party can objectively prove what happened. That said, I believe it's fair to point out the opaque handling of a large order: 12 meters of pizza. We were given a clear quote over the phone: €28 per meter for a Margherita and €35 ​​per meter for a stuffed pizza. We later added an additional meter of Margherita and a meter of stuffed pizza. At that point, without any prior communication, the prices changed. We only noticed this upon delivery, to our obvious surprise. The price difference, about €20, isn't the real problem. The problem is the total lack of clarity and communication. To make matters worse, instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding, the staff preferred to justify the price change, as if the point was to prove they were right. We're talking about an order worth nearly €400: in a situation like this, you expect an apology, not embarrassing explanations. Even when you're convinced you're right, a little humility makes all the difference. A simple "we're sorry" could have solved everything and kept a customer. That didn't happen, and trust—along with any future orders—was lost. For the sake of completeness, I should also point out that the pizza itself didn't live up to expectations.

14/12/2025: Incredibly rude! If it's true that there's the option to order a pizza outside the menu, certain personal comments can easily be left unsaid. Remove this option without mentioning that I'm ordering a "minestrone" when I call for a pizza... A total lack of politeness and professionalism!

21/11/2025: Everyone's taste is their own, but to praise and extol this pizza as if it were a delicacy is, in my opinion, a very exaggerated and inflated review. The pizza is average; in fact, I ate it late at night. I'm sorry, but I'll avoid returning. Best regards.

27/08/2025: We ate at the restaurant today and the waiters were all very attentive and friendly! It was completely full, but everything was quick and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back!

19/08/2025: Breakfast was poor. Being Italians, we prefer sweet foods, but at this hotel, breakfast was mostly savory. They had more cold cuts than sweet options. Only two types of croissants, and rarely any cakes. Service was almost nonexistent. We constantly had to alert the staff when water and cups were out.

12/10/2025: You just have to close. After two mediocre ice creams, you can't tell the customer, "Sorry, the bathroom isn't working." The law requires bar or restaurant owners to provide up-to-date, functioning restrooms and make them available to customers (as well as staff), in compliance with, among other things, the general hygiene regulations of the various municipal administrations.

17/02/2026: Clean, centrally located hotel. No elevator (two floors). Sagging mattresses, terrible pillows. Broken heating knob (impossible to adjust). Ungraceful and argumentative staff (they had to argue with everything). Breakfast at the hotel's own bar downstairs (included).

17/04/2026: I travel a lot and eat out often – but I've rarely experienced a place like this. It started the moment we walked in: We were immediately seated in the very back corner. When my companion politely asked if we could sit somewhere else, the server responded in Italian with an annoyed comment along the lines of, "Is he trying to make fun of me? What's not to understand?" – a truly unpleasant start. We ordered two pizzas and, as an appetizer, buffalo mozzarella with Parma ham. However, we were served tomato and mozzarella. When we pointed this out, they simply placed a few slices of ham on the plate. There was an apology, but it seemed more platonic than genuine – more a perfunctory gesture than a sign of understanding. Up to that point, it might have just been an average, not-so-good restaurant experience. But what was truly unacceptable was the constant gossiping behind the counter about other customers – especially those who didn't speak Italian. There were constant derogatory and insulting comments, often along the lines of "foreigners are stupid" and similar things. It was simply disrespectful and unpleasant. The food was mediocre at best, while the service was truly abysmal. Fortunately, there are many much better options in Trieste. My advice: Don't bother going.

07/04/2026: I recently visited with family and from the outside the restaurant looked fine so we sat down. The service was okay, though could have been a little friendlier (rolled their eyes when we told them they brought out a wrong dish. Wasn’t necessary). The menu looked nice though the prices were quite high on some items. We didn’t really have any expectations but we were still very disappointed. Two of us ordered a pasta dish. One was very overcooked while the other slightly under, both were swimming in oil. Pretty sure some of the things, like the sauce for one of the dishes was canned from the store. Not entirely sure but definitely not homemade. Other than that the other two dishes we ordered were VERY over salted and also swimming in oil. All in all not very appetising and the portion sizes for the pasta were small for the price. The food is only enjoyable if you haven’t eaten all day and there is no other available restaurants. Definitely wouldn’t recommend trying.

22/03/2026: It’s amazing restaurant! If you want to feel Italy you have yo visit this restaurant. Italy it’s not about service, it’s about food and people. With pleasure coming here from Villach with my wife one time a month!

01/03/2026: I stopped for a few nights' business stay. I have to say I had a good time. The restaurant offers a special menu for half-board guests. I must say that the dishes I chose, both first and second courses, were delicious, and above all, the quality was good. The breakfast was good and had everything you could possibly need.

02/02/2026: Excellent stay at the Hotel Prata Verde. Welcoming atmosphere, clean and comfortable rooms, and truly friendly and helpful staff, especially Ervis. Good breakfast and a very good restaurant, with tasty, well-prepared dishes.

04/03/2026: Superb Neapolitan pastries! Delicious zeppole, as well as sfogliatelle (riccia and frolla)! Not to mention the graffa and cream-filled bomboloni! It's always a pleasure to return! Very polite and friendly staff!
