14/10/2025: They also have a fixed-price menu for workers at lunch, so I decided to spend the same amount as the workers' menu, but since I only ordered a second course "à la carte," the surprise was the €2.50 cover charge! That's the same as the fixed-price menu! Other restaurants at least justify the expense by differentiating the tables; here, they're all the same. I understand if the cover charge was minimal, but in my case, it was 20% of the price! The oil was stale, and the fries tasted like fish! It's still acceptable as a fixed-price menu, but "à la carte" is ABSOLUTELY NOT!

13/10/2025: A quaint restaurant with wooden furnishings, mosaic floors, and a fireplace in the center. The walls are adorned with many vintage black-and-white photos that pleasantly transport you back in time. The dishes are carefully prepared, including the delicious tagliatelle and gnocchi, both homemade, as is the frico served with fresh, not pre-cooked, polenta. The house red wine is also good. Prices are reasonable. You can watch football matches in the bar area. There's also outdoor seating. The wait staff, presumably the owners, are courteous but a bit dry. I only gave the service 3 stars because there's no menu; the dishes are "read" by the person taking your order, so you can't take the time to decide what to eat. You don't know the ingredients (thinking of those with allergies and intolerances), and you have no idea of ​​the prices. You're browsing in the dark, which isn't fair.

21/09/2025: This time we didn't really get it, we happened to come across this restaurant by chance, we were greeted with brusque and rude manners, but once we got over this obstacle, which one thinks was due to the large amount of customers (semi-empty place), but oh well, a bad day happens to everyone and you don't give it any weight.. after a while we sit down, and 15/20 minutes have passed, the waiter approaches and asks us what to drink and up to this point, apart from the always rough manners, we order drinks, after another 10/15, another waiter approaches and starts telling us what he can give us to eat, when I ask for a menu to understand prices and ingredients and allergens, I hear the answer here there is no menu, there is only verbal, which I find unacceptable, I think it is right to offer a customer a list, even if minimal, of the dishes with the ingredients and allergens and prices, but after a bit of chatting we trust, and we order 2 main courses and 2 side dishes, simple, the wait continues and yes It drags on until the dishes arrive, and in all this they forget a side dish, but oh well, the service is a bit hit and miss and we hope you leave soon, and continues until the end, then when it comes to paying, the icing on the cake arrives: a slightly too salty bill. We show up, and a bit exhausted by the atmosphere and the wait, we don't complain, and we can't wait to leave... It's a shame, though, that the place is rustic and nice, but I think that such service is unacceptable, and above all the lack of a menu, with 4 dishes and prices, we're not in the Middle Ages... a shame

19/09/2025: First time in Lignano Sabbiadoro, we found this restaurant and, attracted by the menu, went in. The place is very nice, large, and clean. The staff was very friendly. They have a wood-fired pizza oven. We ordered an appetizer and two main courses. They were very good. I hope to return.

15/07/2025: Chef: The food is excellent, it deserves its medals. The waitresses Sara and Cristina are good, kind, and helpful. 😄 A little mischievous and naughty, but still up to the task. 04/10/2025: A simple and charming place to taste prosciutto. We asked for a tasting. The prosciutto is sliced ​​very thinly compared to the ones from central Italy. It was accompanied by tasty artichokes and cherry tomatoes, along with mozzarella from Campania and excellent bread. The owner honored us with a tour of the cellar where he keeps the prosciutto. Ask to taste a local liqueur as well.

20/10/2025: Many pseudo-restaurateurs, when given 3-star reviews, get offended and respond with pique. These overpriced mediocrities should go eat fish at Al Gallo. They'd learn what it means to have excellent (and not predictable) ingredients, cooked lightly yet deliciously. They'd understand, beyond their personal tastes (I always prefer to eat on a tablecloth, which isn't available here), how to elegantly furnish a restaurant. What kind of experience should be offered when the price is well over 50 euros (as is now the case, especially in my hometown of Bologna, even in dives). They'd realize that either places like Al Gallo should be given 6 stars in their category, or their service should be downgraded to 2. I'd improve the bread. Hats off. PS, since I've been back several times, I must add that I ate one of the best ice creams of my life. This restaurant is a real surprise.

05/05/2025: il locale è molto carino ma la cena è stata decisamente sotto le aspettative. il servizio appariva confusionario e frettoloso, mentre i piatti (ad eccezione del toc, molto buono) per nulla memorabili. a mio parere prezzi un pò alti per quello che offre.

24/08/2025: We're not there yet. Tonight, staying with relatives, I ordered takeout here with home delivery and: One pizza (the only one) was wrong 🤦🏼‍♀️, which even arrived cold and hard, and two kebab rolls with pizza dough, burnt on the outside and undercooked or poorly leavened on the inside (since it felt like you were chewing brewer's yeast and crumbs). I'm sorry, but kebab is no different from the chicken one in a tray, ready to be heated for a few minutes in a pan, available in any supermarket in the meat section. The cost of the roll (of which I'm posting a photo of half) was €11.90. We've ordered takeout before, and usually on the last ones, they wouldn't arrive on time, but at least they got the order right and the pizza arrived pretty hot. I think at this point we'll reconsider our competition.

06/08/2025: This is actually a delivery pizzeria. But you can also just sit down and eat there. For that simple reason, I'm not giving it any points for the ambiance. Now for the important stuff. The pizzas are top-notch. The dough is fantastic, the ingredients are all good. The potatoes are fantastic. Some of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Good luck in the future.

24/07/2025: Leaving aside the fact that it's a bar and the coffee and croissants are fine, you can't pay for cigarettes with a debit card although it has one but every time it says it doesn't work, the owner is grumpy, rather than a bar to friends I would call it a bar without desire.

05/09/2025: It was my first time there and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was fantastic. A cozy old farmhouse has been converted into a cozy place where you can even stay overnight. The garden is beautiful, the tables and chairs are new, and everything is great. The service is very friendly. The food is everything that's produced on the farm. The prices are absolutely fantastic. For three people, including drinks, it came to just under €50, very reasonable. I highly recommend it. I'd gladly go back anytime.
