08/12/2024: The pension dinner was organized by them. One word: well done! Everything perfect! Excellent quality food, cooked to perfection! Great passion and professionalism! Congratulations again Silvano and all the staff!

16/10/2024: Since it is a very old hotel, there is a room at a lower level than the standard rooms, you may feel like you are in a student dormitory. There is no air conditioning or any heating system. The rooms may be colder than the outside, but the service, especially the approach of everyone working here, is excellent. If you are not looking for luxury and want a clean place to stay, you can definitely stop by. Even if you don't want to stay, you can stop by to eat or drink coffee at the restaurant, they have no problems in terms of cleanliness, they are very clean.

30/09/2024: Had two burgers and fries which came out to about 40 Euros. Food was solid. Service was good. The server was friendly. There’s limited street parking right outside the restaurant.

08/09/2024: We did not have reservations, no tables availible but they squeezed us in after few minutes wait at the bar. The outside looks lovely, the inside also but where we sat inside was more like a diner or fast food place. We had water to drink but had to ask for glasses. We ordered chicken curry, steak fille and cheese fries as a side. After very few minutes the fries arrives at our table. 15 minutes later the waiter goes to next table with steak and chicken, there the chicken is sent back as it was not correct but steak stayed and soon the other plate arrived at the other table (which was actually seated many minutes after us) we waited longer and finally got the steak, wrongly cooked and cold chicken that had been sitting in the kitchen. The waiter had new bucket of fries but since we already had fries, 25 minutes earlier, he said they were for someone else and took them back since we started on the others while waiting. We complained to the other waiter who gave us the seats, he went into the kitchen and brought fries, the same ones the other took back. When they cleared the table, the asked how it was, we told them the food was cold, the waiter was not surprised and could not care less. Conclusion, food could be ok if served hot and cooked to request. There is something wrong with the service and staff behaviour is poor, probably because they don't care and they are not seeing me again, which is totally true, will never go again.

22/10/2024: I go there often, open every day, for lunch during the week many lunches for workers, but it is still a trattoria also suitable for lunches with family and friends, on Sundays the menu is slightly broader and at lunch there are companies and families. The menu ranges from phenomenal gnocchi to goulash, lubische, grilled side dishes, and they also have some fish-based dishes. Quality/price=Top

27/11/2024: Place renovated in every way, welcoming and well done... in my specific experience, girls behind the counter were friendly and smiling (which makes the difference in a bar).. I've only been there once since it reopened, but it can also be stopped on other occasions..

30/12/2024: We stopped for lunch on October 27th, so with 18 degrees; we asked to sit inside, but they simply said no without giving any explanation. That's fine, they gave us a blanket so we could stay outside. We order two pizzas, one of which was marked 'focaccia' without tomato on the menu, so we asked for the addition of tomato to be changed, repeating twice that it should have been pizza, not focaccia. They arrive shortly after, in a version without the addition. I therefore ask if possible, without having it redone (wanting to be courteous), simply to add a little sauce to the pizza. I'm not a cook or a pizza maker, so I imagined a bit of puree-type sauce (not liquid) on top. The pizza comes back to me like a small pool of tomato sauce (as if taken from the jar and poured on top), with the edge acting as a bank. Obviously impossible to eat in segments. Not to mention that since it was made as a 'focaccia', all the dough was crusty. Then a lake of tomato sauce, all cold, and several burnt parts. Okay, it went wrong, it can happen. You understand that you served something that was a little difficult to eat, that you didn't have to do it again, I don't expect a discount, but at least a kind word. I pay: €2 per person, drinks, pizzas (14 each), €1 tomato addition. Basita. It was a terrible experience, but it can happen, I repeat. Definitely something that needs to be sorted out as soon as possible and that MUST NOT happen: the waiters who, in this exact order and without interruptions, clear the table, throw the leftovers into the waste bin (opening the lid with their hands), clean the ashtrays, place the empty on the service table and take the dishes as soon as they come out of the kitchen (which are passed to them by the two colleagues who are at the door) to serve them at the table. This is done routinely, it is not an isolated episode in a moment of urgency, we remained seated for 45 minutes and never saw a waiter use sanitizer at the entrance. Edit: I'm deleting the notes from my phone and if you visit my profile you'll see that I'm publishing several reviews these days, everything that was left in the drafts. 1-the pizza chosen was focaccia (term used by your waitress), I asked to make it a PIZZA version (therefore with tomato underneath). Repeated twice specifically explaining that I don't eat it without the salt. The tomato, as I imagine it knows, keeps the dough soft, not 'crispy' like cornicione. Having forgotten the sauce, the dough was all "crispy", from the crust to the center. Of course it was a sunny day, 18 degrees though. And I confirm that they replied that you couldn't eat underneath (what should I lie to do?!?!?!). Of course I pay the addition, but since I ask for a pizza one way, it is made wrong, grossly correct, I expect at least a 'we're sorry'. The two pizza passers were the two male gentlemen who were at the entrance and who gave directions to the 2 waitresses and the waiter. I confirm that both waitresses did exactly what I wrote, the glass bins and the table to place the dirty dishes on the left of the door, beyond the corner on that side the waste bins. I remember it well, even after two months 😉

29/12/2024: The pizzeria stands out for its truly excellent pizza: the dough is thin, well leavened and rich in flavour, while the ingredients are fresh and well balanced. It is clear that the kitchen works with care, offering a product that satisfies even the most demanding palates. However, the experience was compromised by some flaws in the service and desserts. The service, apparently quick, lacked attention and sensitivity. When the waitress stopped by to ask if everything was okay, we expected the chance to share honest feedback on the pie, which unfortunately wasn't up to scratch. Instead, her automatic, distracted response — a “yes yes” that shut down any attempt at conversation — made it clear she wasn't interested in listening or improving service. This attitude, more than the waiting times, was what left a negative impression. As for the patty, it was a real disappointment: dry, dry, and lacking the texture you expect. It cracked when cut and lacked that delicious touch that should make a dessert the perfect ending to a dinner. It almost seems like it wasn't prepared with the same attention given to pizza. In conclusion, a pizzeria with an excellent culinary base but which should invest more in staff training and in the quality of the desserts. Listening to customers is essential for growth, and at the moment this essential ingredient seems to be missing.

21/10/2024: To end our lunch in the best possible way we went to this ice cream shop, given the pleasant day and already from the counter you could notice the variety of flavors and the quality of the product. Very courteous owner, helpful and affable and very competent. We had Sicilian pistachio ice cream and frappe... both delicious... with exceptional quality. Congratulations for the frappe because it takes a lot of experience to make it balanced... and here the pistachio was exalted (usually the milk dominates the taste)... I highly recommend it to enjoy a REAL artisanal ICE CREAM

22/09/2024: Found by chance, this pleasant little restaurant, where you still find a tavern atmosphere, where you feel welcomed by friendliness and good humor but also professionalism! Drank well ate too! If you are looking for a typical place that still tastes like "Italy" don't miss it!

08/12/2024: We return to this place after a few months and find new management. We are amazed by the prices: decidedly ambitious for a place in Spilimbergo! Glass of white wine for 6.00 euros with a taste of toasted bread with 3 slices of salami for 2.50 euros! We asked to take a look at the general menu where you can find espresso coffee at 1.30 and 1.40 macchiato... I understand why we found the place EMPTY at 11.30am on Sunday! We are from Milan and we found the same prices... meh. I'm afraid they won't be very successful.

08/12/2024: Change of management...from good to better!!!! Finally a good pizza and finally a choice: round (Abruzzo) or square (Roman), excellent quality of the ingredients. The staff were kind and attentive! The typically Italian place with ALSO Friulian cuisine (yet to be tried). Super recommended!!

03/11/2024: Siamo stati a Trieste per il ponte del primo Novembre. Abbiamo cenato in questo locale. Accogliente . Ottima cucina di pesce. Il proprietario è una bravissima persona. Complimenti. Consigliato . Ci torneremo.

03/11/2024: Great food. Both typical Trieste and some Neapolitan dishes given the origins of the chef and the owner. Attention and care in the presentation of the dishes, as well as excellent quality of the products. We took a mix of appetizers, baked fish with potatoes (a really important quantity for two people, not to be taken for granted!) and the Neapolitan pastiera (very fresh!). The waiter was really kind!
