01/02/2026: Passing through for work I stopped here at Rico's welcoming place, very good food and generous portions, I only ate a second course and a side dish, they brought me two steaks and charged me as if I were only paying for a second course, well, excellent, I would say I recommend it, maybe call first if they have space, very kind and helpful staff

22/02/2026: Excellent pizzeria on the outskirts of Udine's city center, where you can enjoy excellent pizza in a variety of flavors. We recommend the panuozzo, available in various flavors, and delicious appetizers, first courses, and second courses based on traditional Campanian and non-Campania dishes, both meat and seafood. The desserts also deserve a special mention.
The atmosphere is classic, with a simple, 1980s-style feel, the staff is extremely friendly and unobtrusive, and the drinks are good, including excellent beers and wines.
Street parking is available, but there's a large parking lot just steps away.
Definitely worth a try.

The hot chocolates were average, but the wait was endless.
Nice girl, but another one didn't even look at us. Oh well.

20/01/2026: Christmas lunch, à la carte menu, everything excellent, attentive and friendly service, quaint but small venue, best to book. Adequate private parking is available. Also great for snacks (the cold cuts are good). Prices are reasonable for Christmas Day. Recommended.
12/12/2025: It is always a pleasure to enter the Trattoria, the manager is always very efficient, I like the place very much, I have tried the cuisine on many occasions, even important ceremonies.

12/04/2026: The restaurant has moved to the canal. The interior is significantly smaller, but the pizza is still good. Apparently, it's the only pizzeria in Trieste that serves karmut instead of wheat. The service is noticeably worse than before. However, the music from the neighboring restaurant is unbearable. A DJ playing at lunchtime on a Sunday, making a terrible racket. It completely ruins any desire to eat. Next time, I'll go somewhere else.

Fast service and friendly staff.
The dishes are generous and quite good.
The restaurant is on the canal; it's pleasant to enjoy the tables on the terrace.

The restaurant displays symbols and images that openly recall fascism—a deeply inappropriate and offensive choice, as well as contrary to democratic values.
The staff, mostly inexperienced seasonal workers, does their best but is clearly left without adequate guidance.
In summer, the heat and humidity inside make it stifling, while outside you're literally beset by mosquitoes.
The food quality is questionable, and the prices are average but not justified.
I don't recommend this place, both for its atmosphere and the message it conveys.
06/10/2025: This restaurant also offers a workers' lunch menu at reasonable prices.
Very fast service, perfect for those looking for a quick meal without wasting too much time.
Also open on Mondays for lunch.
Advance reservations recommended. Often full.

17/01/2026: We stopped because we saw they had mulled wine (delicious) and hot chocolate (the kind that's not made on the spot), which I love and is hard to find around here. I make the on-the-spot ones at home if I want (they're comparable to the freshly made tiramisu that I can't stand). However, the hot chocolate swirling in the jug blends well and the flavors settle, that's another story :)
