25/03/2025: Strolling in the evening in the centre of Modena and you come across a nice and welcoming place where they let you choose your seat among the remaining free tables, also offering you the most private room even though there were three of us, quick service, excellent dishes, clear menu

26/03/2025: Vado regolarmente 2/3 volte/mese in questo ottimo ristorante principalmente a pranzo a volte la sera dal 1998 circa,mi sento sempre a casa sempre ottima cucina ,pesce fresco e pizza .Sono veri professionisti con particolare attenzione al cliente.Ottimo rapporto qualita/prezzo.Viaggio molto x lavoro...raro trovare un ristorante simile.
26/03/2025: Siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante, abbiamo ordinato 2 primi, uno spaghetto alle vongole e uno allo scoglio, buonissimo, voto 10 , ma poi siamo andati in giù 😢 un fritto misto da 0 ( non era un fritto era nero senza panatura gommose ,c'era solo anelli di calamari e due gamberi pieni di olio), il dolce? Un tiramisù comprato al supermercato, servito anche caldo🥴, poi per quel che ho visto , la pizza non e pizza , non so cos'è ra neanche io, sembrava boo.. il mio consiglio? Io non ci torno più, Ciaoooo

30/08/2025: The property has changed management and no longer offers full board (lunch and dinner). That said, Mauro and Francesca (the current managers) pampered us for a week. Cleanliness, helpfulness, and friendliness, along with a breakfast featuring authentic flavors, make Locanda San Niccolò a perfect place to stay while visiting Sestola.

20/07/2025: Wonderful place!! Delicious food with some very unique recipes.
The host and waitresses are incredibly kind!!

07/07/2025: It felt like being in a medieval tavern. The spiced wine and the apple and currant juice were good. The maltagliati with game ragù didn't particularly impress me; it tasted like plain pasta with oil and ground beef; adding cheese made it more flavorful. The mixed meats were better; we liked the sausages; the piece of rabbit was good, if a little dry; the pork slices were lukewarm; a little warmer would have been better. I liked the chicken leg the most, even though the inside was pink. The salsa verde accompanying the meat was good. The fried mushrooms were bland. The tart was a bit straightforward, perhaps because of the medieval recipe; the jam on the tart was good.
