03/11/2025: Yesterday evening I brought home a crescione, ham, salad, onion, gorgonzola. When I ate it, I noticed that the roughly chopped onion was completely RAW, the gorgonzola barely smelled, the ham was sipped, and there was plenty of salad. I'm sure that for €8.50 I expected something better. Given the time and distance, I couldn't return it, which was the right thing to do in the circumstances. It's unlikely I'll go back.

23/10/2025: Horrible!!! My daughter's piadina had arugula full of dirt, and after I told the owner, I expected at least an apology and for him to at least remake the piadina, but noooo, the absurd response was "BETTER THIS WAY, IT MEANS IT'S WILDER!" In short, I had to give mine to my daughter to eat!

30/10/2025: Nice pastry shop. Prices are higher than average.

31/08/2025: Are you kidding me? You order a coffee at the counter... then ask if they can stain it... so far so normal... when paying, the cashier reminds me that I got a stained coffee and therefore there's a surcharge... But I say... charging for a milk stain!!!... Never heard of it!!!.... NEVER AGAIN!!

18/10/2025: A truly welcoming place, the lady always ready to give us information. Eating at the buffet, €16 per person for two, I basically ate what I wanted. The farfalle with salmon was delicious, but there were other meat-based first courses. I tried almost all the second courses, always fish, but there was also meat. Various side dishes, from grilled to spicy paprika. The desserts, especially the tarts, were very good. Water and coffee included. In short, you wake up feeling full and satisfied 😁😁😁 I'll definitely be back on my next trip. HIGHLY recommended ❤️ and thanks again

05/10/2025: Yes, this restaurant is recommended. We went there twice within 12 days. They serve delicious dishes at reasonable prices. The portions are usually quite large. You should come hungry. Reservations weren't necessary in September.

07/05/2025: Cena sublime in una location da sogno: un tavolo rotondo affacciato sugli uliveti, dove il tempo sembra rallentare. Il maître – gentile, attento, adorabile – guida la serata come un direttore d’orchestra, senza mai imporsi ma con rara eleganza. (Mi pento solo di non avergli chiesto il nome.) Da vegetariana e intollerante al glutine, ho ricevuto un percorso su misura: uno squacquerone cremoso con erbette, una parmigiana delicata e una nuvola di crema al mascarpone. Sapori autentici, curati, che parlano la lingua della terra e dell’ospitalità. Finale perfetto: un nocino artigianale, deciso e inebriante, come un abbraccio sincero. Tutto accompagnato da un servizio impeccabile e un prezzo onesto. Un grazie sentito, tornerò.

06/05/2025: We visited this restaurant whilst staying at the wine resort. The food was absolutely outstanding. The views were incredible and the restaurant had stunning ambience. The service was fantastic and the menu had great choices. If you are in the area, you won't regret visiting.

11/09/2025: We stopped at the kiosk for lunch to try the gluten-free piadina prepared by the "Chef." Since the name of the place clearly suggests that it doesn't just serve piadina, we thought we could order something other than piadina for my 9-year-old son, who doesn't eat piadina. The fried food ran out, the fries never arrived, and to top it all off, when we asked if we could order a plate of cold cuts, the "Chef" replied that he couldn't serve dishes because it wasn't allowed by law. With far-sighted advice, he suggested we order a piadina and just eat the cold cuts. A rather absurd response, considering we would have tossed the piadina in the garbage. In any case, I would have looked for a better solution, since Il Chiosco Non Solo Piada had nothing but piadina that day! Ahh, maybe they meant watercress... The piadina isn't the best either; I've had better ones in restaurants that provide it for free while you wait for the first course.

25/10/2025: Glasses of wine and tonic water cost €6 and €4 respectively, so far so good. Too bad the platter per person ended up costing €14, with food prices not displayed. Two slices of cheese per person and three types of cured meats, two slices each. Unfortunately, my two friends and I ordered two platters for three people. €40 PER PERSON, so nice, now I'm living on potatoes until Christmas.

17/08/2025: We found this wonderful rotisserie just steps from the hotel where we were staying in Cesenatico. It's a quiet, friendly place in a quiet area. We immediately had a great time; all the staff were very helpful and kind. We tried several dishes, and they all exceeded our expectations. As true Bolognese locals, we recommend the lasagna, which is truly delicious!

10/08/2025: The worst lasagna I've ever eaten. In fact, it wasn't lasagna but layers of pasta with béchamel sauce. I asked the person there why there was no meat? The answer was: "Romagnola lasagna has little ragu." A real feeling of being taken for an idiot. It wasn't little ragu that was on my plate, it wasn't at all. If you go there, forget the lasagna, it's a disaster and even a shame. €9 for a portion of pasta with béchamel sauce is well paid, plus the dish was just lukewarm (the béchamel sauce just lukewarm and set, it's awful). The Frito Misto wasn't bad. Very disappointed!

30/09/2025: BAD. Two Tanqueri gins for 20 euros? The guy at the cashier slapped down three Heinrichs. Hmm, they all cost the same. Not if the Tanqueri costs the same as the Mare or the Nordes... There are some problems... Because the difference is huge, so I certainly won't be coming back. I'll add: an extra 1 euro per person for this huge aperitif with yesterday's crescenta. Also no.

16/09/2025: Excellent quality. Both the food and the service are on par with restaurants. The staff are very polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. Plus, the quality/price ratio is excellent. All in a clean, bright environment. Excellent coffee. Truly good.

21/09/2025: About twenty shaded camper spots, with electricity and bathrooms...near the beautiful village for €20. Excellent welcome 👍

14/07/2025: I went to the pool on a Sunday. I had lunch at the little restaurant in the shade of a beautiful willow tree. The lunch was good and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and attentive.

21/12/2024: Abbiamo prenotato per una cena, per la quale abbiamo ricevuto la conferma on line ma....arrivato al ristorante lo abbiamo trovato CHIUSO! Tutto questo sabato 21/12/2024. Direi che l'organizzazione non è il massimo per un locale tanto rinomato. Valutazione pessima considerando che la prenotazione era per un evento speciale!

16/12/2024: Non pensavo di scrivere mai una recensione così. Prenoto con largo anticipo per sabato 14 dicembre a cena. Mi arriva conferma per mail e poi anche via whatsapp. Il giorno 14 parto di casa e faccio circa 1 ora di auto che è la distanza tra casa mia e la Mentana. Arrivo e trovo tutto chiuso e spento. Attendo 15 minuti e poi provo a chiamare ma il numero è staccato. Scrivo su whatsapp per sapere se avessero cambiato entrata ma nessuna risposta né per messaggi né telefonica. Giro a piedi per il paese di Mercato Saraceno, magari hanno ritardato l’apertura ho pensato….ma dopo 1 ora al freddo e senza riuscire a mettermi in contatto con il ristorante risalgo in auto e faccio un altro ora per rientrare. Mi sono fermato a prendere una pizza da asporto, il sabato sera in Romagna all ultimo non è semplice trovare posto. Spero non sia capitato nulla di grave alla Mentana e al suo personale per aver trovato chiuso ma non avere avvisato della chiusura lo ritengo davvero una mancanza di rispetto e professionalità. Non è per le spese del viaggio a vuoto, autostrada ecc. ma sono passati 2 giorni e non riesco ad avere una spiegazione né per mail, né telefono o whatsapp, questo rende davvero surreale questa situazione. Ho mangiato bene alla Mentana quando siamo stati ma questa situazione mi ha davvero lasciato con l amaro in bocca.
