La Vecia Cantena D'la Pre'

27/03/2024: I am from Romagna but have been transplanted to Veneto for 30 years, a return to my native lands and a lunch with my wife at Vecia Cantena D'La Pre'. We took simple dishes, dishes from my childhood. A bruschetta, excellent in everything, from the right "searing" of the bread to the mix of flavours, a tagliatelle with wild boar ragu, rough, generously seasoned, thick and cooked... like my mother's, I was moved.
Finally, a tasting of cheeses, among which a 30-month pit-matured cheese stood out, and this is where they brought us piadina and piaVina, an evolution invented by chef Barbara, you can't tell the pairing with the cheeses, you can only taste it . All while drinking a Sangiovese... well, it was born as a cellar, granted it was up to par.
Lastly, the price is very honest.

17/03/2024: La Vecia Cantena D'La Pre', una perla nascosta a Predappio Alta, offre un'esperienza culinaria e culturale senza eguali. Visitata a Gennaio 2024 con la mia famiglia, ci ha rapiti con il suo fascino intramontabile.
Immersi nel suggestivo contesto delle cantine medievali, siamo stati trasportati indietro nel tempo. Le mura che raccontano secoli di storia e la scalinata che conduce dalle epoche medioevali a quelle romane creano un'atmosfera unica e avvolgente.
La cucina romagnola si esprime al massimo delle sue potenzialità. Dai primi piatti alla fiorentina, ogni boccone è un viaggio nei sapori autentici della tradizione locale. Il Garganelli ha riscattato la leggera sottostima di quantità del bis di primi, mostrandosi eccellente.
Il personale e il titolare incarnano l'essenza dell'ospitalità romagnola: gentilezza e disponibilità accompagnano ogni momento della cena, rendendola ancora più memorabile.
Consigli per i Visitatori: Non perdetevi l'opportunità di esplorare le cantine sotterranee, un viaggio nel passato che arricchisce l'esperienza culinaria. E non dimenticate di assaggiare la torta alle mele, un vero capolavoro da non perdere.
La Vecia Cantena D'La Pre' è molto più di un ristorante: è un tuffo nell'autenticità della Romagna, un incontro tra storia e gastronomia che lascia un'impronta indelebile nel cuore e nel palato. Consigliatissimo per un'esperienza autentica e genuina.

19/03/2024: Very good food and friendly service. Rustic atmosphere. I returned after a very long time and tasted the flavors of the bruschetta and appetizers that I ate as a child when I went with my parents. Everything as I remembered it. Very good . We went on a Wednesday so there wasn't too much confusion and they even gave us a box to take leftovers

06/04/2024: Beautiful......enchanted place, young, polite and very professional staff. Truly recommended......a swimsuit is essential to take advantage of the beautiful spa available.
02/04/2024: This village offers the perfect recipe for relaxation, nothing is missing and thanks to the paths all services can be reached on foot, so forget the car to experience the hilly scenery.
Being immersed in nature it is easy to see insects and cobwebs, perhaps with greater care it could be better camouflaged in the rooms.
The staff is well organized and very polite in offering the best services.

05/03/2024: The place itself is pleasant, but the swimming pool is abandoned to itself. If you go there, be alert, because I have encountered dangerous behavior everywhere, with the total indifference of the staff. I tried to swim two laps and got hit on the head by a guy who was playing toss near the swimming lane. End of the experience.

29/12/2023: Ambiente raffinato e intimo, perfetto per una cena di coppia. Qualità degli ingredienti elevata ma piatti complessivamente nella media, non siamo stati particolarmente colpiti da nessuna portata e questo è il motivo delle 4 stelle.
Servizio professionale e cordiale, prezzo leggermente elevato.

25/12/2023: Sono venuto per natale. Personalmente lo sformatino e i primi erano decenti. Nulla di speciale ma non erano nemmeno male. Nella media. Ma la carne era terribile. Stopposa e poco condita. Le verdure di contorno nella media. Personalmente non è il genere di cucina che cerco. Tipica cucina da osteria. Per carità non giudico la qualità degli ingredienti perché non sapendo da dove provengono non mi permetto di farlo ma mi permetto di giudicare il modo in cui è stata cotta la carne. Io ho fatto tanti mestieri tra cui il cuoco per molti anni. E posso dire con assoluta certezza che i tempi di cottura della carne erano totalmente sbagliati bisogna impegnarsi a fare un arrosto stopposo. Le verdure poco condite. Posso capire in una casa di riposo che metti pochissimo sale ecc ma uno per natale si aspetta di mangiare un minimo saporito. Non penso di tornare. Peccato per la location che merita. Vini buoni. Ma la cucina si può migliorare drasticamente. Di sicuro non è colpa del proprietario che è più che gentile. Ma dei cuochi.

04/04/2024: Farmhouse located at the top of a hill in Predappio alta, 10 minutes from the center of Predappio. Isolated place in the greenery suitable for those who like tranquility. Beautiful clean and comfortable rustic room. The manager sent us the exact directions by e-mail because arriving late in the evening, and walking along a road in the woods, you have the feeling of being lost and when you are about to turn back convinced that you have taken the wrong road, it is right there that the farm is located... therefore, you must not give up but you must follow Mr. Giuseppe's instructions in detail even if you find "road closed" or "works" signs.

14/11/2023: Non esagero ma è davvero una delle piadine più buone della Romagna. Il locale è molto pulito ed è gestito da due persone fantastiche e simpatiche. Ingredienti di altissima qualità. Da provare assolutamente il crescione! Abbiamo cenato per due serate consecutive, peccato essere partiti altrimenti ci saremmo fermati ancora. Consigliatissimo

11/09/2023: E' Galet è un posto fantastico a due passi da Castrocaro Terme. Siamo stati sabato scorso a pranzo dopo aver fatto un giro in moto. Accolti benissimo e con un servizio perfetto , il cibo poi ha superato ogni aspettativa. La pasta fatta in casa, le carni , i dolci .. il vino, tutto è stato magnifico. Grazie ancora. Torneremo presto , Franco e Antonella.
