07/12/2025: We ate at the restaurant, we didn't see the hotel. We felt at home; the staff was welcoming and very friendly. And the fillet was super juicy and tender, mouth-watering.
P.S. Salvatore, every time we hear a Madonna song, we think of you!
03/08/2025: The room is adequate for a three-star hotel, the staff is sometimes rude, it's hard to understand why the elevator sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

05/01/2026: We ordered a lactose-free cake. The price is unjustifiable and outrageous, €50 per kg. I can understand a slight increase for lactose-free products, but not that excessive. Once I went to pick up the cake, I discovered they had added ingredients containing lactose, namely chocolate because "it looks better that way." Not only did I pay €50 for lactose-free, but the lactose was also added without prior notice, only being revealed after the fact upon collection.
A terrible experience, never again, and the cake is absolutely not worth the price.

16/08/2025: We ate here a week ago. A disaster. I booked over the phone and was served an hour later (and we even turned down some dishes because they weren't ready). I was told to check the menu on the website before booking, but once there, the prices were significantly higher than those on the website (published two months earlier). As for the quality of the food... I won't comment because I don't want to offend anyone. The lady who runs it probably needs a hand, given that I've seen customers (very annoyed by the wait times) and she can't handle them optimally. Don't expect table service. A disaster!
11/08/2025: The first impression doesn't inspire lunch: worn plastic tables facing the street, an empty display case. Then I discover that the owner is also the chef and cooks everything freshly. The fish menu: delicious spaghetti with clams (plenty) and excellent fried fish with chips. Water. Total: €15... super fair. The setting is a €1.50 cover charge, considering you eat on a disposable placemat and with plastic cutlery and cups (I would have opted for the €16 menu with no cover charge), but the four stars are well deserved.

13/12/2025: At first, the pastries and service were excellent, so much so that I left the historic café next door to go there. Then I don't understand what happened, but for some time now, the quality of the pastries has dropped dramatically (they always seem like they were made yesterday). I've gone back to basics. Prices are medium-high.
The owner, moreover, isn't exactly the friendliest person.
09/12/2025: Quality aperitif, terrible pasta, nice atmosphere... but the friendliness of father, mother and daughter is unmatched😓

06/01/2026: A restaurant in the center of Ferrara with convenient nearby parking on blue lines. You enter through a cloister next to the bust of Torquato Tasso. The atmosphere is charming, and the restaurant is informal and simple. It has a good selection of wines and off-menu items. The à la carte menu features many classics and traditional Ferrarese cuisine with authentic flavors. We'll definitely be returning to try other gourmet dishes.

24/11/2025: La Sosta is a pleasant discovery! From the first visit you can feel that the team puts their heart into their work. The dishes are delicious, fresh, the portions are generous. The pizza has a thin, crispy dough, the fries are appetizing, and the hot dishes are homemade and aromatic.
The service is fast, the staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, suitable for both a quick lunch and a dinner with friends. It is noticeable that the new team is trying to improve the service and quality.
We recommend this establishment to everyone who is looking for tasty and affordable food in a pleasant place. We will definitely come back!

13/07/2025: After an hour of waiting, four out of five pizzas arrived.
The fifth never arrived because we decided to get up and go pay.
The pizzas were badly topped (even with the wrong ingredients) and undercooked.
When it came time to get the bill, we pointed this out to the owner, who didn't even apologize; instead, he told us they'd had problems, and that can happen.
Everyone in the dining room was complaining.
13/07/2025: I've always had a good experience at this place, but last night the experience was terrible... endless waiting time, lost and inexperienced waiters, no apologies for the poor service... well, a really bad experience.
