Otherwise, a huge disappointment.
In a simple sentence: Unfair.
The menu has normal prices, then they offer you off-menu items (the prices of which you don't know), but what do you expect to be in line with the rest? Then the bill shows 23 euros for an appetizer: ONE... and I mean ONE... octopus tentacles cut into three pieces... as if it were a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Huge disappointment.
09/12/2025: The staff was active, well-organized, attentive, and kind. The food was excellent, the atmosphere very pleasant, the only flaw being that the tables were so close together that you could barely move.

The staff is top-notch and very fast.
07/04/2026: The piadina is simply exquisite. Unfortunately, I only go there once a year...but it's worth it! The guys and girls are all very polite and make sure to serve you as quickly as possible.

10/03/2026: Very nice club with a popular atmosphere. The food is good and the portions are generous. Service is very friendly and attentive, though a little slow because there are only a few people. It starts to get crowded around 1:15 PM. On Sundays, it's best to go early to avoid crowds.

21/04/2026: Went to Casamerlò to just have one dish which was recommended and it was the surprisingly one of the best pasta dishes I had during the trip. It was the wagonwheel pasta with vodka and meat sauce and it was exceptionally good. Would definitely go back for it again!!
19/04/2026: Food is great. However, if you’re visiting with a baby, there is no changing table available. The staff was kind and tried to accommodate us by providing a (very) small table in a storage room

14/03/2026: We tried the restaurant for lunch.
The tagliatelle and tagliata were excellent.
The semifreddo was worth trying.
It should be chosen just for Merlino's courtesy and friendliness.
I'll be back.
13/03/2026: A true classic for Castel d'Aiano. The hotel is affordable but clean and more than decent. The restaurant is phenomenal. It's just a shame that almost nothing remains in Castel d'Aiano, so it's recommended for everyone, but only for short stays or longer stays for older people who want to escape the summer heat of the city during the warmest months.

07/03/2026: A very friendly atmosphere, you'll feel right at home! The best crostini in Romagna, the host a character from another era, dressed in sloppy attire but with a Fellini-esque feel. I'll be back soon.

Booked for 4 people, very friendly staff, good quality food, clean environment, and more than generous portions. The problem is that the published menu was different from what was served.
Specifically,
the Russian salad was not delivered
the coppa roulade with potatoes and peppers became roast coppa without any side dish
the lamb with caramelized onions was replaced with lamb without caramelized onions
the fruit salad was not delivered
the berry tiramisu without berries
the Easter dove cake was not delivered
the regular coffee because no one thought to ask if we wanted macchiato or decaf.
The price of €55 per person is fine, but it is unacceptable to change dishes without prior notice.
What a shame
05/04/2026: Just a little tip for the future... When you establish and then publish a menu for a particular day on your website (with the relative price per person) to allow customers to book, try to stick to what is proposed, without changing the courses or even eliminating some, while keeping the price unchanged.

Fair prices.
This is the third time we've eaten here, and it certainly won't be the last.
07/04/2026: The vegan carbonara is delicious, as are the ravioli (the plate consists of 10 ravioli in 5 different flavors).
Super fair prices.
The atmosphere is a bit old-fashioned, which I don't like, but it's still one of the few places in the area where you can eat very tasty vegan dishes (and at a reasonable price).

05/04/2026: Returning to this restaurant after several weeks, we found the same welcoming atmosphere and super friendly and professional service, complementing the fabulous food and wine selection!
The cured meats are always delicious and refined (the Angus bresaola is sensational!!!), accompanied by excellent tigelle and a variety of sauces (the fig and ginger one is excellent!)
The gnocchi with game ragù are always excellent, but this time the ginger rice and ribs really surprised and won us over!!! Generous portions and excellent value (the Baraccone gutturnio was excellent to accompany it...). We'll definitely be back!!!
28/03/2026: I stumbled upon it by chance one evening with hungry strangers. Excellent cuisine rooted in the Piacenza area, and the two owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

22/12/2025: It's a bar I often frequent for breakfast or a mid-morning snack: the staff is truly friendly and never fails to make you feel how much they care about their work and their establishment. As for the food and drinks I consume, as I mentioned, it's usually breakfast—coffee, cappuccino, and various pastries—and I can honestly say they're all top-quality.
21/11/2025: Good coffee, superior service, very kind staff, I stopped going there because of the bad smell inside which soaks your clothes, once you leave you take the smell of the bar with you
