09/07/2025: I saw an ad on Instagram and it piqued my interest. Then I checked out their profile and I have to say, it's really well done, meticulously crafted, and it made me want to try it. I ended up driving almost 80km, but it was totally worth it! As soon as we arrived, Diana greeted us and was incredibly kind, super helpful, and friendly. You could tell she really cares about the place. She was truly talented. We had fish, and it was spectacular. Everything was so fresh and made with care, even the plating was top-notch. I honestly didn't expect it to be this good! Highly recommended

30/05/2025: Trattoria Cheterena never disappoints. Home cooking of excellent quality, quality wines, rustic atmosphere. Maybe this last time the service was not really adequate, but all this does not take anything away from the rest.

20/04/2025: Siamo stati al pranzo di Pasqua in questa trattoria. Già in fase di prenotazione Loretta è stata carinissima e superdisponibile. Avevamo prenotato 3 menù più una bambina e un menù con intolleranze. Loretta è stata super nella gestione e nella contrattazione del programma. Il personale di sala carino e disponibile. Il menù buono per tutti. Le pietanze adeguate e abbondanti (c'era sempre il bis). Veramente ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Torneremo assolutamente.

24/06/2025: Correct and courteous staff, as a pizza option they also have a gluten-free dough. Several times they informed me that it is NOT a place suitable for celiacs and for those who have problems related to gluten intake. From this you can understand that the staff is serious and informs the consumer. I took my responsibilities and ate a fairly good gluten-free pizza. Even the other people who were at dinner with me and ate 'normal' pizzas beat them in quality. Recommended place, but NOT for celiacs and/or intolerant people with serious dietary regimes

26/05/2025: Excellent experience! I ate very fresh fish, cooked impeccably, with dishes that were taken care of in detail and had an authentic flavor. Each course was a pleasant discovery. I had some difficulty finding the entrance at first, but the restaurant has a convenient parking lot right in front, which is very convenient. It was absolutely worth it: I will definitely be back!

10/05/2025: Our group had 3 different types of pasta that were all excellent. The roast beef melts in your mouth and is full of flavor. And the prosciutto is superb. Our server was not friendly or attentive and slow.

05/06/2025: Absolutely recommended, especially for the quality of the food. The prices of the dishes are fair, the cover charge is a bit high, the cost of the "quartino" of Ortrugo is perhaps excessive.

29/06/2025: We are a group of 6 Australians. We came upon this wonderful Italian restaurant by accident. There was an Italian woman eating in the restaurant who recommended the place. We had lunch on Saturday 28 June and were so impressed that we went back the next day. We were served by Antonio who speaks good English and could explain the food. There are also menus available in English. The chef is extremely competent and the food is very tasty. The desserts are also fantastic! The toilets were very clean. We will return. So Aussies and Kiwis take note!!

25/06/2025: Excellently managed place by a family management, you can eat truly incredible fish dishes and made with taste and skill, the service is very fast and friendly, the place is looked after in the smallest details and is located near the Trebbia river right in the area where it flows into the Po, I highly recommend it to everyone whether for a family dinner or with friends or even to make a good impression as a couple, compliments to the management

15/06/2025: Family-run trattoria, where we always go willingly. The dishes are tasty, well executed and really excellent. Yesterday we were there for my father-in-law's birthday, as always we were very satisfied with the food and the service 👍🏻

15/07/2025: A pleasant seaside dinner. We ordered a couple of piadinas, an introductory seafood tapas (salmon, tuna, shrimp, sardines), all prepared and served on bread with cream cheeses—really delicate. For the main courses, a generous mixed grill of seafood, with sardines, sea bream (and a couple of other fish). We also had spaghetti with clams. With a sparkling white wine. The service was very pleasant. Cost about €110 for four people.

02/05/2025: If you are looking for an insignificant aperitif with a bunch of appetizers, this is not a place for you. Wine chosen with professionalism and care. Food... what can I say, I've been working in the restaurant world for 30 years, and now I'm starting to despair when I go around. Lately the quality of the offer has dropped significantly. They all offer lots of rubbish appetizers for free, included in the glass. Horror. Today I finally saw the light, the splendor of past years, where quality exists, you pay (and not even much in this case), but it's right. Otherwise go to McDonad's.

02/05/2025: Annex of the famous Macelleria Travagli, it draws on the same high quality raw materials (meats and cured meats, also cheeses from high quality sources). Ideal for a quick snack, but without compromising on quality. Cold dishes and sandwiches are available in various configurations. In good weather you can enjoy the outdoor area on the courtyard behind the Palazzo della Ragione (nice view); the internal spaces are limited, but in bad weather you can count on wall shelves in the underpass that connects with Corso Garibaldi. Attentive and informative service

25/06/2025: Typical trattoria, with a simple atmosphere, which offers traditional dishes. The service is fast, but a bit anonymous. Compared to the atmosphere, the price seemed a little expensive, but the dishes were plentiful: for two first courses, two second courses, two desserts, 3/4 of house wine, water and coffee €91

24/06/2025: It is a typical simple and sober trattoria with many rooms, the cuisine is typical of Ferrara and traditional, the menu is spoken by the waiter. The service is fast and the staff is kind. We had as a first course the pasticcio di maccheroni and casarecce with mutton ragù: generous portions. As a second course the mixed bollini and the excellent and abundant beef fillet with porcini mushrooms. The portions are abundant, but we were tempted by the zuppa inglese which is truly remarkable. The house wine is good, a very respectable Sangiovese. The price is in line with what we ate (€95 for two). We will return.

28/04/2025: There are so many places with great wine and food who will welcome you. If you’re not a local go somewhere else. I only hope when they visit my home we show them what true hospitality and customer service is. Wish I hadn’t spent a cent here for your terrible service.
