Hotel Ristorante Merlino In Castel d'aiano

We arrived at this hotel during the Rhine Treasures Trail. We had amazing pizza, excellent first courses, and the owner entertained us with his passion, puzzles, and a few magic tricks. We had a truly wonderful evening! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back!

We went there for lunch. Quick, courteous, good food, but above all honesty. I ordered polenta, which on the menu comes with samples of beef strips, sausage, mushrooms, and stracciatella. I asked for it without meat, and in the end, they charged me less than the full menu price, which is rare!

Excellent restaurant with an extensive local menu, from torta fritta to wild boar mushrooms and cured meats... generous portions. Very friendly staff... Children's play area Excellent value for money!

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and the experience was truly excellent. The food was delicious! The service was impeccable: the waiter was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to our every need, making us feel immediately at ease. What's truly striking is the atmosphere: it feels like a truly family-run business, the likes of which are hard to find these days. There's warmth, a welcoming atmosphere, and genuine customer care. All this is complemented by a beautiful view that makes the experience even more special.

We tried the restaurant for lunch. The tagliatelle and tagliata were excellent. The semifreddo was worth trying. It should be chosen just for Merlino's courtesy and friendliness. I'll be back.

A true classic for Castel d'Aiano. The hotel is affordable but clean and more than decent. The restaurant is phenomenal. It's just a shame that almost nothing remains in Castel d'Aiano, so it's recommended for everyone, but only for short stays or longer stays for older people who want to escape the summer heat of the city during the warmest months.

I arrived practically at closing time, was greeted kindly, and despite the hour, I had a choice of several courses, good food, and efficient, fast, and friendly service. I'll definitely be back.
