10/11/2025: On Saturday afternoon we stopped for a beer, a group of eight people, we had 3 beers and a mini platter that could have satisfied a maximum of 4 people, we were presented with a bill of 65 euros in which the platter reigned supreme with a cost of 40 euros but the surprise was to see us charged a whopping 16 euros for a cover charge.......

09/10/2025: We had a great meal here, we sat outside over looking the mountains and horses roaming around. Getting to the restaurant itself was a little nervy, it is off the beaten track but well worth it.

04/01/2026: When history and haute cuisine meet We chose Gli Scacchi restaurant for our New Year's Eve dinner, and it was a fortuitous but absolutely perfect choice! The location is simply stunning: an elegant and refined setting inside an eighteenth-century building that was once part of the stables of the Royal Palace of Caserta. More recently, the building also served as a theater studio for the Servillo family, adding further cultural charm to the venue. The atmosphere is intimate, elegant, and tranquil, perfect for enjoying a special evening without the hustle and bustle. The attention to detail is immediately apparent: the table setting is meticulously designed, and the dishes are prepared with remarkable mastery. We enjoyed a seafood dinner with truly exquisite dishes, prepared with top-quality ingredients and meticulously presented. Each course was a small masterpiece, both for the palate and the eyes. The welcome was warm and genuine: Gino, the owner and cellar master, and his wife, the chef and kitchen manager, made us feel like special guests. Their passion and dedication shine through in every aspect of their service. If you're planning a vacation in Caserta, in addition to the Royal Palace, Gli Scacchi is also definitely worth a visit. 17/01/2026: Finally Saturday night pizza arrives, my husband comes home saying Cosimo, for me the "Great pizza chef" has proposed you a specialty entitled comm' succede revisited... a white pizza with pesto ricotta pepper, raw ham and scamorza... what can I say, you will notice from the photo if I liked it 😁 congratulations 👏. I recommend everyone to go and try it.

The staff is friendly, very professional, and discreet in serving dishes that are nothing short of exceptional (see photos). The seafood appetizer is a must: prepared with ingredients of undisputed quality. The shrimp and citrus risotto is also excellent: it's worth mopping up the sauce! Recommended

22/11/2025: Terrible takeout pizzas. Terrible ingredients, shoddy workmanship, raw tomatoes, and even poor quality. Obviously, zero leavening. The pizzas are truly sickening... It's a shame they look good in the photos, but in reality, they're quite the opposite. They make them better in Japan.

Good service, the owner very kind and helpful. I booked with the fork and took advantage of the discount, but even without it the prices are modest. We will definitely return.
