11/10/2025: The meat I ate made me sick, and the service was poor. The chef, smoking, waited on tables and then went to the bathroom. Unacceptable behavior.
11/10/2025: I ordered the mixed grill, and it tasted strange, and the burgers were frozen. The older, white-haired man who prepared the food kept going to the bathroom without washing his hands. Hygiene was zero, I highly recommend this place.

20/09/2025: With friends, we had spaghetti with seafood and pasta with potatoes and provola. The cooking was a bit slow. Everything was good, but the pasta was a little low in salt, as was the spaghetti with seafood...with a little too much oil. The ice cream was excellent.
12/09/2025: August 19, 2025, Tuesday. I want to clarify that it was Tuesday: this is because, of the many restaurants, pizzerias, and trattorias in the area, NOT ONE WAS OPEN. So I ended up eating here by chance: and, as I told the owners in person, I was lucky. I didn't pay attention to whether a person with a mobility disability can use the restrooms independently. I liked everything: I occupied a cool room inside alone, and I liked what I ate. Paccheri with octopus, squid, and tuna €18. Fried anchovies (and what anchovies, some looked more like sardines) €10. A small bottle of water, a medium beer, a coffee, and a cover charge: total €37.50. The fish all seemed fresh to me: while I was eating, I also saw five bags of clams arriving, so I guess there's plenty of fresh fish. They also gave me two lemon wipes, which you have to ask for in some restaurants. If you choose to visit the Baia Thermal Baths on a Tuesday, I recommend it: it's just a stone's throw from the Temple of Diana, on the way to the Temple of Venus.

29/09/2025: We had a wonderful meal, delicious dishes, prepared with care and skill. Recommended for those seeking a fine dining experience. The only downside was the atmosphere: the air conditioning didn't work as it should have, making our stay less pleasant. With some improvement in this area, the experience would be perfect.
13/09/2025: I went to Le Colonne – Chef Rosanna Marziale for a quick lunch, but the experience was anything but a "quick" one: full of surprises, flavor, and attention to detail. Location & Atmosphere The restaurant is located in Caserta, on Viale Giulio Douhet, near the Royal Palace; the Marziale family has run it for generations, maintaining strong ties to the Campania region. The atmosphere is elegant but not overly formal, welcoming; the service is professional, friendly, and attentive to every need. Signature Dishes That Made Her Famous Chef Marziale is known for some now iconic creations: Pizza al contrario (Pizza Upside Down), a fried mozzarella ball stuffed with basil tagliolini, and mussel soup in black mozzarella milk. Our Experience (the dishes we tried) Various dishes offered by the chef. Delicious Pizza al contrario (Pizza Upside Down): excellent. Crispy, clean, well-balanced, with local ingredients (San Marzano tomatoes, DOP buffalo mozzarella, and cafone bread). I was truly satisfied. Fried dough ball / stuffed mozzarella ball: I had very high expectations, and unfortunately, this dish fell a little short. Desserts: Three different desserts, all excellent, but the dessert that blew me away was the fried dough ball with cocoa-infused buffalo mozzarella—a truly exceptional result: deep in flavor, with well-crafted contrasts, a must-try. Staff and Hospitality The waiter who served us was very professional: attentive, courteous, and present without being intrusive. I appreciated the moment Chef Marziale came to say hello: you can sense her passion, dedication, and humility, despite her success. She is an exceptional person who puts her heart into what she does. Conclusion Le Colonne is an experience not to be missed if you love innovative Campania cuisine, with a strong sense of place and ingredients. It's the kind of restaurant where every dish tells you you're in the right place, even if some expectations weren't entirely met (in this case, the fried pasta ball).

27/08/2025: An unforgettable experience in Salerno Dining at Donato il Macellaio was, without a doubt, one of the best gastronomic experiences of my life. The meat I tried was simply fantastic—flavorful, succulent, and prepared with a mastery that's hard to find. The pasta, traditional to Naples, captured the essence of Italian cuisine, made with authenticity and passion. What made it all even more special was Donato himself, the owner, who personally served us. His hospitality, care, and friendliness transformed the dinner into something much more than a meal: it was an encounter with the true soul of Neapolitan cuisine. I'm sure I'll never forget that evening, and when I return to Salerno, I know exactly where I'll dine: at Donato.
05/08/2025: I went to Donato il Macellaio last night with my dad and two friends, and we enjoyed the food. The service and atmosphere were wonderful. I'm writing this review, however, to warn anyone reading this not to park in the alley next to the restaurant. As soon as we left, we got back to the car and noticed that it had been broken into and everything inside had been stolen. A perfect evening, but a very bittersweet ending.

05/10/2025: Today it was a nice surprise I had Pasta with deer and porcini mushrooms. It was prepared and served well as my first dish. The flavors blended well and nothing was overpowering. The second dish was steak with arugula and slice cheese perfectly cooked and flavored was spot on. The sides of grilled artichokes, zucchini, eggplant, peppers and pumpkin were delicious. The desert was aslice of cake topped with pistachio. A good beer and ended with an amaro. Ambiance is good. Location easy find, staff are professional and kind. Complements to the kitchen staff. I look forward to another visit. Bravo
