The dishes are full of passion. As a traveler, I truly appreciate both the service and the food. The meat is absolutely excellent, the best in the area.

23/08/2025: Based on my experience at other restaurants in the area, I believe that the quality-to-quantity ratio of the food served does not justify the price, not to mention the service, which left a little to be desired.
17/08/2025: Everything we ordered was truly exceptional, incredibly fresh and expertly prepared with the flavors of Cilento. However…you absolutely need to improve your table service timing, because waiting an hour for appetizers to arrive means the method you use from taking the order to the dish arriving is decidedly flawed. I speak with knowledge, having worked in the restaurant industry for several years. Slow food is fine, but this will take away your appetite. 😂
And another thing! If I order a dish (parmigiana) and after the appetizers (so after an hour and a half) you tell me it's out of stock, you're also putting me off ordering anything else, because who knows when it will arrive and… if it will even be available.

28/05/2026: Everything was 5 stars. The food was fantastic, you pay a fortune for it, but it was worth it (3 people, 1.5kg of meat, €60 each... obviously including tea, bottled water, service charge, and a tiny pot of potatoes).
I didn't give it 5 stars only because the staff was so pushy, we couldn't even have a chat with friends after the meal because every two minutes someone would come by to ask if we wanted anything else... and give people a break. We ordered, ate, and paid (expensively). I think a chat at the table over a coffee was acceptable, right? It almost seemed like they wanted to kick us out, and the restaurant wasn't full and we had a reservation.
13/05/2026: I think Bertie's has become a guarantee for me. Whatever you want to eat, you can be sure it's good and of high quality.
The staff is attentive and friendly, and I go back whenever I can!

But on both of our visits, they tried to rip us off by messing with the spritz recipe (for example, the first time they diluted it with beer).

The ingredients and the way they're displayed are admirable: you eat very well in this restaurant, and you feel very welcome. The staff are professional, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and every dish is an experience. It's a place I love and I highly recommend it.
