I visited Pizzeria I Matti in Pompeii and had a truly positive experience.
The restaurant has a large outdoor area, well-ventilated and beautifully lit, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a summer dinner.
The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the evening, and service was quite fast, with no long waits.
The menu is varied and offers a wide selection of appetizers, pizzas, and main courses, catering to a wide range of tastes. We started with chips as an appetizer, simple yet delicious. The pizzas were well-seasoned, with quality ingredients and a light, flavorful dough.
Overall, I recommend this pizzeria for anyone looking for a welcoming atmosphere, good food, and attentive service.

Starting with the good things: the croquettes are really good, the fried food is handmade and not frozen. The frittatina is a little less good; I found it a bit too creamy.
The pizza and the dough were good, and both were cooked really well. The diavola was really spicy; I highly recommend it to anyone who likes it that way.
We asked for the sausage and fries with cream, but they didn't add it. We probably even paid for it, but forgot to mention it at the end.
The place isn't particularly impressive, at least not in the outdoor area where we sat.
Parking is blue-lined everywhere, and it costs 2.50 an hour. The place is on the street, but it's expensive.

Over the years, it's become a tourist hotspot: hence, the quality is less than average and the products are detached from tradition. The Margherita has a contemporary shape, the famous "canotto," that no one wants anymore. Moreover, it's burnt around the edges. The tomato is fine, but the cheese is certainly not fior di latte or mozzarella. It's something unclassifiable, lacking in flavor or texture. In short, a pizza restaurant for those unfamiliar with true pizza tradition. Perfect for distracted tourists.

During my stay in Pompeii, I visited Imatiti Pizzeria, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. Without a doubt, it was the best pizza I had in the city.
The pizza was fresh, perfectly baked, and made with high quality ingredients. Every bite reflected the passion and care that go into their food. The atmosphere was welcoming, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
If you are visiting Pompeii and want to enjoy authentic Italian pizza, I highly recommend Imatiti Pizzeria. I will definitely return on my next visit. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Despite the late hour, they seated us with a gracious welcome after the end of a concert at the Pompeii amphitheater. We ordered various appetizers, then a pizza, then a main course, all very good and tasty, served professionally. The staff was truly attentive and kind. Thank you and keep up the good work!

This is not a sponsored/paid review. Visited the joint Mar 14’26 before we went back to our cruise ship. It was almost closing time but they welcomed and served us (5 stars for that!!!!)
We were greeted by the staff and were seated outdoor.
We ordered Bufalina, Capricciosa, Montanara Pompeana and Diavola. All of them was good. Montanara Pompeana is my favourite as it is deep fried pizza. My first time trying this kinda of pizza.
Price is at the higher end due to proximity to Pompei. Service was quick - perhaps it was near closing time and only couple of table to be manned by the server.
