24/03/2025: The place is quaint but also welcoming. The staff is patient, kind and always available despite the confusion caused by the room full of customers. Chef Damiano also knows his stuff and knows how to delight the palates of all his guests. The dishes are of the right quantity but taste good. Each dish is prepared with predominantly local ingredients. The pasta with goat sauce is delicious. I'll be back soon. If you are in the area, this restaurant is highly recommended.

11/05/2025: If you’re in Gerace, this place is a must-visit! The granita is absolutely amazing – fresh, full of flavor, and there’s a wide variety to choose from. You can even mix flavors like lemon, pistachio, rum, and chocolate – every combination we tried was fantastic. I also tried the aperitivo platter once and can highly recommend it – delicious and nicely presented. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy some local specialties in a charming setting!

13/05/2025: We just ate at their place, it was delicious! Red shrimp tartare then teriyaki tuna, it was fabulous. Great service, well-received, polite, well-located, nice terrace, and having tried a few restaurants in the city, this is the first one that is really good. And good wine selection!

04/05/2025: Semplicemente conto troppo salato rispetto all’esperienza. Il cibo è buono ed è ben presentato, nulla da eccepire, ma vini ed antipasti sono stati venduti ad un prezzo decisamente troppo elevato.

26/04/2025: Torno con un gruppo di amici in questo ristorante del quale conservavo un ottimo ricordo. La qualità dei piatti è forse anche superiore ai miei ricordi gustativi della visita precedente. Tuttavia il servizio non è più all’altezza della qualità della cucina, forse per la mancanza di personale. Ritornerò sperando di vedere un recupero anche nella qualità del servizio.

The presence of numerous local patrons underscores its reputation within the community. While slightly removed from the tourist trail, Pastificio Statiola is a true gem for those seeking authentic, high-quality cuisine at a fair price.

01/02/2025: Posto carino, ci sono i giochi da tavola e l'atmosfera è accogliente . Si può prendere un buon thè, hanno una vasta selezione, oppure un classico drink se si va post cena . Speciale menzione per Elisa, simpatica, dolce e paziente. Ci ha spiegato il gioco che avevamo scelto e fatto sentire accolti.

01/05/2025: Sempre tutto ottimo. I piatti vengono cucinati al momento come se si fosse a casa. Personale gentile, sollecito ed accogliente. Ci vengo da 20 anni con un intervallo di 6 anni. Temevo che fosse cambiato la qualità. Invece è sempre uguale. Si mangia benissimo. Le tradizioni vengono rispettate.

31/05/2025: I would do the 5 hour train ride again to eat the wonderful tuna steak with rocket and Tropea onion and the excellent mussels with pepper. The pasta with swordfish is superb!
