31/01/2024: We returned to this place after several years and found it definitely out of date. Apart from the fresh and good bread, all the rest of the food (mediocre cheese, pickles and wine) is of poor quality and not homemade as it was years ago and as they still want to make it clear. Prices are more in line with the quality of 10 years ago than with that of now. However, the characteristic environments are worth appreciating

31/03/2024: La Piccola Taverna is the place you don't expect. It is in fact a butcher's shop which, in addition to offering a vast choice in the sector, amazes inside with its well-optimised and welcoming catering space. I have already stopped 4 times for dinner while traveling and every time I am amazed by the kindness of the waiter ready to suggest dishes on and off the menu with grace and knowledge of the facts. Furthermore, the quality of the preparations and the grilled meat are a certainty that remains unchanged and this pushes me to return and try new dishes. It is difficult to recommend a particular dish, needless to say that there is "a professor" on the grill, the presentation and cooking are perfect and respond to the customer's request. I tried the exploded grilled potatoes for their uniqueness, I had them customized with a 'nduja cream and I was satisfied without any problems. What can I say, don't miss the opportunity to shock your taste buds, the flavors are authentic, genuine and take you back to childhood (I'm 54 years old) 😉. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED thanks to everyone, dining room and kitchen staff 👍

01/04/2024: The place is very nice, both inside and in the outdoor area (for the summer season). The owner was very kind and showed us the area outside, which was very nice and well-kept. The food was excellent, especially the first courses, we had a struncatura and a Corte d'assise which was exceptional; the starter was very good, the shin however did not leave its mark. The presentation of the tiramisu is very nice, with the coffee added separately.

26/03/2024: Passing through Gioia Tauro on our way to Rome we stopped for lunch. We discovered it by searching on the internet. From the outside it is anonymous but once inside everything changes. Nice parking among the olive trees, garden. A large wooden veranda overlooking the garden/parking area houses the dining room. We ate very well. Delicious swordfish paccheri. Excellent tuna with onion and grilled vegetables. Excellent service and very kind owner. Prices more than honest. Very good.

22/02/2024: Excellent Pub, with a suffused and "rocketer" Irish Pub style atmosphere. They always have good beers and the food is also good, the staff is knowledgeable about beers and friendly with guests. A quiet place that inspires carefreeness, ideal after a day of work. Excellent for a dinner with a group of friends but also with family. The best Pub in the area!

28/01/2024: Il paese è un luogo incantevole, così come questo ristorante. Si mangia divinamente bene , piatti tipici calabresi, la loro specialità lo stocco cucinato in ogni modo Gia la seconda volta che ci vado e ritornerò senz'altro

06/04/2024: we only went for the pizza.......: you sit down, look at the pizza menu, and read that they are made in a unique way, super good, ok let's take the pizza, and,,,, without adjectives, from 1 to 10 rating ...: 6 - I don't know what was in place of the mozzarella, it couldn't be swallowed, we ate it anyway out of hunger, leaving several pieces.

18/02/2024: Locale carino ed accogliente, personale cordiale e gentile. I panini abbiamo assaggiato due "peccati di gola " che definirli tali non è un abuso. Ma la cosa che ci ha sorpreso in particolare è stato il dessert. Consigliatissimo! Un meraviglioso Birramisù fatto in casa dal proprietario... che dire consiglio vivamente 😍😍😍

07/02/2024: I ate takeaway pizza there in the restaurant, I must say that of all the pizzerias I've been to this one is the best to date. The base of the pizza was light and crunchy despite the ingredients on top, the dough was well cooked and with alveoli of the crumb beautiful open. The raw materials used for the toppings were evidently selected, well positioned and above all genuine, it was possible to taste all the flavors without the problem of the matching mix. After eating two slices, unlike other pizzerias, I didn't feel bloated which is to say. Very kind, very nice staff and despite the awareness of the excellent product they remained humble. 4 stars for the place for intellectual honesty because it is actually a bit too small, but we know that where there is take-away usually just the essentials are offered for those who consume in a hurry. If you go to Reggio Calabria I highly recommend stopping by and tasting a truly special pizza. Well done!!!!

03/02/2024: Pizzeria mainly for take-away, but with a few tables against the walls where you can sit huddled together to eat a slice of scrocchiarella with various toppings. The dough is excellent, fragrant, light, crunchy and can also be made with cereals. As for the condiments, you're spoiled for choice and there are endless varieties at the counter. The place is small and you can understand the reasons why, especially on Saturday evenings, it is incredibly crowded, while the two ladies who serve never lose their calm and provide for the customers. The slices generally cost 2.50, but there are other more delicious ones for 3 euros. With 10 euros you can eat three nice slices and drink a drink: also for this reason, recommended.
