13/07/2026: Takeout pizzeria with a few tables for those like us who decided to dine in. We tried both the pizza by the slice and the pan pizza and were truly amazed. The dough is light and doesn't recur overnight, the toppings are varied, and the staff is friendly. Recommended

07/07/2026: Passing through Castel di Sangro, I decided to stop at Sabatino. A simple trattoria serving typical local dishes, this place is spartan, no-frills, and fairly clean. I preferred to make a reservation for lunch; although I arrived early, I still found a table. I tried the appetizer with cured meats and cheeses: homemade and very flavorful ingredients. Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffles was adequate, but the sauce was "untidy," a typical dish from a village festival, made in a hurry. The fusilli with white lamb and saffron ragù was more flavorful than the tagliatelle. The pan with sausage and provola cheese was very flavorful. The mutton arrosticini were well-made. The only downside was the service; unfortunately, I waited a very long time for my food, about 2 and a half hours, amidst general dissatisfaction, as all the customers at the tables were furious about it. If you're looking for something good and authentic, I recommend it, but arm yourself with saintly patience because the times are biblical.
26/06/2026: I am an Italian Aurtralian. Travelling over Apennines to Rome from Vieste. 1400 and places with 1500 closing times were all shut. Came across Trattoria Da Sabatino. Said they never close. Fantastic. So good I would not hesitate to come back. Great stop and best plate of pasta. As good as my Nonnas. Steven

18/02/2026: Welcoming and clean place. Qualified and friendly staff. I recommend the pizza because it's really good... The pizza chef is very knowledgeable... I was very satisfied.
27/09/2025: We ate here at the end if the season. Very lively atmosphere with large groups of locals which is always a good sign. The food is good, at reasonable prices and the pizzas are large and all dough is made on the premises and cooked in a wood burning oven. Had a lovely evening. I recommend you try this restaurant.

20/12/2025: Kind and very professional staff, excellent food such as the tagliata and pizza which are top notch, moderate prices in line with the average in a location with plenty of parking spaces.
12/12/2025: After 20 days of booking, I found myself without a place available upon my arrival. To make matters worse, there wasn't even any pizza dough available. A truly disappointing organization, especially considering the wait and the planned reservation. Unfortunately, it was a negative experience that won't make me want to return.

15/06/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant with a group of 61 people. The food was good, and the service was generally satisfactory. Unfortunately, there were some unclear aspects regarding the final bill. The agreed-upon price was €28 per person. When quoting, I had asked to replace the fruit with a dessert, as we were celebrating a birthday. The owner explained that if we chose a specially purchased dessert, there would be an additional €2 per person; otherwise, they would serve their own small dessert, and the birthday cake would be paid for separately. In the end, we were charged €30 per person, and a cake was also added for €30. The dessert served in place of the fruit was very small (about two teaspoons per person), and several guests commented that it wasn't even clear what it was. Another negative aspect concerns the payment: I wasn't given a receipt for the cake, and the complimentary gift of one person for every 25 participants, as had been agreed upon over the phone, was not applied.

29/05/2026: Very nice anti pasto and red wine of the house when we came in somebody had smoked a cigarettes we should have left straight away. The waiter showed us the menu and when we ordered she said she did not have the spaghetti bolognese with agnello but only manzo. We took both the pasta and tasted like the neat from a tin of Eurospin.We never tried that one for sure. Together we payed €55. (Too much )Pizza may be good but they serve only in the evening…

We expected the prices to be slightly lower for this location, but in the end, it was worth it, especially for the quality of the products. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful!

13/06/2026: What can I say? Very nice place, food, and prices are even better. The menu is presented without prices, which I think is a negative, and it's probably not even legal. Speaking of the food, the portions are very small; the seafood risotto is a rice dish where they forgot the fish; it tasted more like bland white rice with four clams. I was very disappointed because I went with high expectations, but once I found out they'd changed management. I paid €70 for two seafood risottos, a mixed fried fish (very little), a still water, and two coffees. I can't say what I paid or how much, because, as I said, it wasn't possible to find out. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, and I definitely wouldn't go back.

06/07/2026: We visited Da Serafino and were truly impressed. The restaurant is located in San Vito, a beautiful town at the beginning of the picturesque Costa dei Trabocchi, a perfect setting for a seafood lunch or dinner. We opted for the set menu, and I must say it was an excellent choice: a formula that allows you to enjoy a complete experience without worries, with truly excellent value. Everything we ate was excellent quality. You could clearly taste the freshest fish and the carefully prepared ingredients. The portions were generous and the dishes well-balanced: each course confirmed the chef's skill in showcasing the flavors of the sea without too much artifice. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast, making us feel immediately at ease. It's the ideal place for those who want to enjoy authentic and sincere seafood cuisine while also enjoying the beauty of this corner of Abruzzo. Highly recommended: we'll definitely be back. Congratulations to all the staff!

10/04/2026: Since I can't respond to a specific review, I'm forced to create a new one, which is also inevitably negative. I'm part of the group who dined with Cristian Del Vecchio (review below last Monday), and I want to address every point raised by management in response to my friend. 1. Portions: We understand that the quantity choices are yours, but charging €20 for a "mixed roast" like the one served is unjustifiable. The potatoes, described as "mere garnish," were literally counted and, to make a point in your favor, were from the day before. 2. Food: The story about the extra ribs is untrue. As the pictures show, most of the meat was charred and inedible. However, what struck us was the staff's total indifference to our complaints. We tried to point out that the food was inedible from the first course, but we were consistently ignored. The head waiter approached our table only once, saying, "These are the quantities," and then walking away. We were mistakenly hoping it was just one unfortunate dish. 3. The discount: Continuing with the previous point, after receiving charred liver skewers, we expressed our disappointment directly at the cashier. The owner gave us a discount of about 30%, but she had no choice; we were tired of being snubbed and refused to pay such an exorbitant amount. We were advised to stand up and not pay, which probably would have been the best way to be taken seriously, but instead we chose politeness and a "simple" negative review. What I don't accept is that such a review would be taken by management as "a pretext to denigrate the work of others." We know how difficult it is to run a restaurant on Easter Monday, but trying to justify a less-than-positive experience by blaming it on the customer is unacceptable. Best regards, and good luck.
