03/05/2026: My worst experience in Abruzzo was at this very restaurant. I went there this weekend with a group of friends and the food was terrible. The service was completely incompetent, the menu was meager, and the selection was limited. We opted for the arrosticini, which everyone raves about, but they were a total disappointment: truly inedible. The worst, however, came at the checkout: the owner was rude and arrogant, convinced he was friendly but simply out of place. I even went to the bathroom and the situation was terrible: dirt everywhere, truly questionable hygiene. The overall atmosphere is old, neglected, and absolutely not up to the price tag. It was the first time and will certainly be the last. I hope the authorities investigate, because it's absurd that a place in this condition can remain open. I can't give less than one star, otherwise I would have gladly done so!!!!

23/12/2025: Rustic, welcoming, and rustic. Dinner with delicious traditional appetizers and incredibly delicious arrosticini. Friendly, knowledgeable, and top-notch staff! Best arrosticini in the area!

15/01/2026: It took me a while to write this review! Unfortunately, I have to say, I haven't eaten like this in I don't know how long! I should start by saying I don't think there was a chef in the kitchen. We sat down with two friends. Among us was a vegetarian, but that didn't seem like a problem from the start, but then... We ordered a trio of bruschetta and two Neapolitan frittatas! TRIO OF BRUSCHETTE: The dish arrived was truly nonsensical. Three slices of bread that hadn't even seen the grill (Wikipedia: It consists of a slice of stale bread, either grilled or oven-roasted), spread with a canned product. The two frittatas were delicious! We ordered three tagliolini with truffle, and here comes the apotheosis. This fresh pasta (not tagliolini) arrived, tossed with the same truffle sauce as the bruschetta. We went to pay, and the bill was hefty. I'm a foodie and I always say: When you eat well, the price doesn't matter. When you eat badly, you're wasting your money! Friendly waiter An evening to forget

27/06/2026: The restaurant is fairly close to the seafront. The food is top-quality, fresh, and very well-cooked. The staff were very professional and friendly, and gave us excellent advice. The wait time was very short, considering the high quality. The value for money was excellent. Highly recommended.

22/04/2026: Unfortunately, a bad experience. Easter Monday 2026, €40 per person for a very meager menu. The service (one very young, very rude waiter) was annoyed by our requests and even swore at us as he walked away. We saw the owner for 2 minutes and then nothing. My advice: don't go there during the holidays. Another piece of advice: use people who are experts in the field, not people who can't even carry a plate.

22/07/2026: A lovely bar and restaurant right on the seafront with a beautiful view. Lovely outdoor tables serve excellent arrosticini, pizza, and a delicious mixed fry. The rosemary focaccia is also delicious. Parking is available just steps away.

21/07/2026: We stayed at this establishment on Sunday and had a great time. It's very clean and tidy, and the staff is truly friendly and helpful. I booked via WhatsApp: they were very kind and kept everything they told me. I recommend it for its cleanliness, convenient parking, and excellent service. The beach is also well-organized: the umbrellas are spaced far enough apart, unlike many other establishments where it's often overcrowded. We'll definitely be back!

18/12/2025: A well-kept place down to the smallest details, very bright in the evening, the outdoor pool with blue lights gives a great effect, the clean lawn with outdoor tables, a shame about the temperature, but I will return when the weather is warm, inside very welcoming with attentive and thoughtful staff, once the order was taken well recommended by the owner, the dishes begin to arrive, hot and cold appetizers all of the Abruzzo tradition, the same for the first courses, handmade, amazing ravioli, the second a grilled lamb cooked well and tender, the same for the desserts, the sweet pizza could not be missed, I highly recommend this farmhouse, reservations are recommended, the place is always full, Congratulations ☺️

09/05/2026: Called for takeout at 7:00 PM for 9:00 PM. 20-30 minute wait for pickup every time. They rightly charge you as soon as you walk in, otherwise I wouldn't pay a cent for such poor takeout service. Also, favoritism among customers, 9:30 PM takeout delivered early. From this perspective, poor.

14/04/2026: I've always found this place satisfying, from the ambiance to the food. The menu is simple but the ingredients are high-quality, especially the meat. The arrosticini, meat, and liver are also excellent... the pizza was delicious, too! A guarantee...

10/04/2026: Since I can't respond to a specific review, I'm forced to create a new one, which is also inevitably negative. I'm part of the group who dined with Cristian Del Vecchio (review below last Monday), and I want to address every point raised by management in response to my friend. 1. Portions: We understand that the quantity choices are yours, but charging €20 for a "mixed roast" like the one served is unjustifiable. The potatoes, described as "mere garnish," were literally counted and, to make a point in your favor, were from the day before. 2. Food: The story about the extra ribs is untrue. As the pictures show, most of the meat was charred and inedible. However, what struck us was the staff's total indifference to our complaints. We tried to point out that the food was inedible from the first course, but we were consistently ignored. The head waiter approached our table only once, saying, "These are the quantities," and then walking away. We were mistakenly hoping it was just one unfortunate dish. 3. The discount: Continuing with the previous point, after receiving charred liver skewers, we expressed our disappointment directly at the cashier. The owner gave us a discount of about 30%, but she had no choice; we were tired of being snubbed and refused to pay such an exorbitant amount. We were advised to stand up and not pay, which probably would have been the best way to be taken seriously, but instead we chose politeness and a "simple" negative review. What I don't accept is that such a review would be taken by management as "a pretext to denigrate the work of others." We know how difficult it is to run a restaurant on Easter Monday, but trying to justify a less-than-positive experience by blaming it on the customer is unacceptable. Best regards, and good luck.

29/03/2026: The place is noisy, unfortunately, and also cold (temperature). Very classic. The appetizer was good, but considering the price and the space, it was a bit cramped. Tagliatelle were excellent and plentiful. The scamorza cheese was also good. Park on the street if you can find it, otherwise on a bend 200 meters away.

The roe deer ragù dish was particularly convincing, with the fresh pasta demonstrating excellent cooking resistance and a porous texture capable of absorbing the sauce. The intense yet balanced ragù enhanced the meat's bold character without being overpowering, offering an overall harmonious and satisfying result. The only element that partially dampened the overall harmony was the service, which was rather slow that day. Nothing that compromised the quality of the gastronomic experience. Overall, Il Brigante Maino proved to be a restaurant capable of authentically interpreting Abruzzo's culinary heritage, offering solid dishes, authentic flavors, and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down and enjoy the mountain air.

12/07/2026: Very dirty, messy place that smells like sewer with very high prices and pizzas made practically only of bread in addition to the fact that the bathrooms are very very dirty. It is really in a bad state. I do not recommend it and I tell you this at my expense.

11/07/2026: Terrible service.. we booked in the morning, we arrive for dinner and the table hasn't been prepared.. they make us sit at a table reserved by someone else because there was a ticket with the surname of the person who had booked (and it already smelled bad to me) oh well.. after an hour of waiting to book, other people arrive and in the meantime the others order and also start eating.. are we stupid, excuse me?? 2 "waiters" with a full restaurant.. 0 staff.. never ever again.. 0 stars if you could.. avoid!!!

16/11/2025: Excellent restaurant, simple yet quaint location. The seafood dishes are well-prepared, made with top-quality ingredients, and are plentiful. The menu is extensive and the prices are absolutely competitive. Highly recommended.

25/10/2025: The restaurant feels a bit dated, but it's clean and decorated in a nautical style. Adequate space between tables and well-lit. Fast and informal service, very friendly and helpful wait staff. Simple, well-cooked dishes and generous portions are what set this restaurant apart.

14/09/2025: We were greeted very warmly and sat in the garden. It was cool and we immediately felt at ease. The service was prompt and professional, but what really stuck with me were the arrosticini, they were amazing. I recommend the Patate al coppo, delicious. I'll definitely be back!

20/03/2026: We dined here for a birthday. The place was freezing, so much so that we dined in jackets, but they still weren't enough to keep us warm. The appetizer arrived after over an hour and a half; considering there were about twenty people in the place, the wait seemed excessive. The pizza, which arrived after two hours of waiting and constant reminders, was inedible. We asked for a Coke and were told it had run out—absurd, considering it's a "restaurant." Halfway through dinner, we left, leaving most of the food on our plates without finishing the celebration. Some of the people sitting across from us also left for the same reason. We will definitely never return. I absolutely do not recommend this place!

03/03/2026: Very kind staff: I tried to order via Just Eat but the app had some problems, and I solved it quickly by placing the order directly via phone. Good margherita pizza, fried food too (a nice choice).
