21/02/2026: A simple but welcoming refuge! A place to refuel without any pretensions. The sausage, scamorza, and broccoli rabe sandwich is excellent. We expected the prices to be slightly lower for this location, but in the end, it was worth it, especially for the quality of the products. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful!

04/02/2026: High-altitude refuge reached by chairlift. Service was literally inadequate even on a Sunday in November. The food was incredibly late, and they had very little to offer. It makes up for the Location

03/06/2026: We went to this place for an aperitivo: after sitting down, we weren't given a menu. We ordered three proseccos and asked for something to accompany them. Unfortunately, what was served at the table showed obvious signs of mold. We immediately reported the problem to the owner, but no alternative or solution was offered. A disappointing experience, especially regarding the way the incident was handled.

04/12/2025: A family-run restaurant run by the talented Genny, who always offers excellent advice. The spaghetti with clams is fabulous, as are the seafood gnocchi, the fish soup, and the calamari stewed with chili pepper. Excellent value for money.

31/05/2026: I gave the service a three, not because they aren't fast, but rather because the longer you wait, the better and things are done calmly. If you're in a hurry, don't go. I prefer to wait because things need to be done at the right time. Highly recommended.

21/09/2025: I had a wonderful meal: the mussels with pepper was fabulous, the chitarra pasta with clams, the octopus salad, and the excellent wine! Everything was plentiful and reasonably priced. Reservations are a must; it's always busy. They don't offer table service, but that's certainly not a problem! Highly recommended!

29/05/2026: ITALIAN CUISINE LOVERS, ESCAPE WHILE YOU CAN! The location on the Tortoreto seafront is undoubtedly one of Da Paolo's strong points. The restaurant is pleasant, with well-appointed spaces and particularly comfortable sofas that invite you to spend a relaxing evening. Unfortunately, however, the dining experience didn't live up to expectations. We were two adults and a child. We started with two first courses. The tortellini with cream and cooked ham arrived with an excessively thin sauce, while the ham was roughly cut, in long strips that were unpleasant to eat. The mezze maniche allo scoglio was the real problem of the evening. At the first bite, the pasta was salty, tough, and decidedly undercooked, well beyond "al dente." Furthermore, the dish was literally immersed in oil. Even the fish didn't convey the freshness one expects from a seafood dish. When we reported the problem, the staff was helpful and took the dish back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, a new dish returned, this time even served in a different size. The pasta was slightly more cooked, but still far from perfect. At that point, I decided not to continue and left the dish almost untouched. The waitress very kindly offered to have it remade, but after two attempts, I decided against it. Next, we ordered pizza, which was passable, without any particular flaws but not memorable either. The size was rather small, closer to a children's pizza than a traditional pizza. The drinks weren't convincing either: the Coca-Cola on tap was completely flat, a detail that further contributed to the less than satisfying experience. The real disappointment came when it came to the bill. Despite the mezze maniche being disputed, remade, and left almost entirely on the plate due to obvious preparation issues, they were still charged in full. This, in my opinion, shows little concern for the customer and the management of an already problematic situation. Total spent: €43.50. Overall, an evening that left us more perplexed than satisfied. The location is pleasant and the staff was polite, but the quality of the dishes and the management of the issues didn't convince us. For those looking for refined and authentic Italian cuisine, or even just Italian cuisine, this is not the right place!!!

19/05/2026: I can only comment on the location (shabby) and the service (terrible). I wasn't able to dine because, after waiting 20 minutes for the waiter to take my order (the place was empty), he told us that the menu (already rather sparse) wasn't available, but in practice it was down to very few items. We decided to pay for the water that had already been delivered to the table and leave. I think it makes no sense to offer a menu from which the customer can choose practically nothing. It's much better to prepare a list of the few available dishes.

24/02/2026: I happened upon this small pastry shop, late one afternoon, while walking my dog. The smell of freshly baked cakes led us both to the property and as it was late in the day i expected the pastries to be hard. However i was pleasantly surprised to find they were delicious and among the best i had ever tasted. A subsequent visit confirmed that it was no fluke and i fully intend to visit again the next time i am in Pescara. Some reviews have commented about the rudeness of the staff and the expensive prices, but both the older woman and her daughter were very pleasant to my dog and me and although the prices are more than i am used to paying, i am happy to pay extra for the superior quality.

09/06/2026: We were passing through Capestrano and stopped for a quick lunch at this restaurant, in a nice tourist spot near the castle. All in all, it wasn't bad, but the pasta was unsalted and the cherry tomatoes were raw. The trout, however, was good, and so was the salad! The owner was very polite and courteous!
