25/06/2024: I came to Cepagatti during my summer holidays, specifically to visit this splendid work. I had already browsed through some photos, but obviously being able to see it in person was a much greater emotion. It is an ancient building, built on the remains of an important Roman villa, which was built and modified in several periods, from 1600 to 1800. What is immediately striking is first of all the extraordinary level of conservation of each architectural element: the body central part of the castle, the dominant tower and the adjacent chapel as well as the arches, the characteristic battlements and the balconies. An unmistakable distinctive sign of this building, although not very relevant from an artistic point of view, is the decoration in the upper part, made with sequential circles of different colours. Passing in front of the facade and going around the ancient complex, it seems to be in the period of greatest splendor of the town, well represented by the numerous murals on the walls of the surrounding houses. Probably few know this beautiful village and unfortunately having little consideration for a town that does not possess a high number of historical elements is a sadly common curse and many truly magnificent places risk often being overshadowed; this is why we must have particular admiration for those who possess the patience and dedication in valorising these precious historical-cultural heritages. Given the notable proximity (the people of Pescara don't mind me, given the well-known archaic rivalry...), you can also consider visiting Chieti, a city rich in history. I only have one modest negative consideration to make: unfortunately some trees severely limit the view of the castle, right on the side of the main facade and it would therefore be appropriate to remove them or at least prune them radically (thousands of them are cut down, everywhere and for no reason and wanting to leave these right here in front intact would not be ideal). I hope to be able to visit this magnificent building also inside, which is not yet possible at the moment but overall I was very satisfied with this discovery.

16/08/2024: Nice place, where you frankly enjoy yourself well. During the stay I ordered, Negroni, Moscow Mule and Tequila Sunrise. Test definitely passed, excellent cocktails! Tomorrow I'll try to see if they can make me a White Russian😉

30/07/2024: Restaurant with typical dishes We were there on Tuesday and returned on Thursday because we had a good time. Good mix of quality and quantity at an excellent price. Nice and kind staff

11/08/2024: What can I say, the food isn't too bad, unfortunately the trout was a disappointment. For the cost I expected something more, but instead they gave me half a trout and it was also overcooked. Definitely overpriced for what I got.

18/08/2024: I stayed at this hotel with high expectations, but was extremely disappointed. The staff have been incredibly rude and unprofessional since our arrival. Not only were they unavailable to answer our questions, they also seemed annoyed by our requests for basic information. Breakfast was a total disaster. The choice was very limited and the quality of the food was terrible. The products were evidently of poor quality and, in some cases, even looked old and few hot dishes available were cold and tasteless. For what we paid, I definitely expected more. This hotel is absolutely not worth the money spent. I strongly advise against staying here, there are definitely better options in the area. I will never go back there again.

21/08/2024: A place frequented by young people, with cuisine suited to their tastes. The burgers, fries and even the vegetarian starter were unexpectedly good. The tagliatelle is equally good, and there is a good selection of beers on tap. However, staff may struggle to handle large numbers of diners.

16/08/2024: Although the food is of a good standard and the environment is comfortable, the staff (not all of them, to be honest) are nothing short of rude. Faced with a wait of about 2 hours for a pizza, we heard the reply: "there are a lot of people, if you don't like it, get up and leave". Overall if you are very patient you can go.

08/08/2024: Very good food but terrible table service. Rude and arrogant waiters. I was at the table with other people, a waitress arrives with a sulking face, we say "good evening" to her without receiving an answer. We decide to make a toast but a diner sees his glass chipped so he calls the waitress to kindly ask her to change the glass because it's broken. The waitress arrives all annoyed and rudely responding to this person's request. But the exploit comes when we order the desserts, we waited 45 minutes to receive the desserts. The waitress arrives and stops at the head of the table and instead of serving the various dishes we had to get up to take the plate with the dessert. But it doesn't end there, a girl who was with us at the table had ordered a sweet pizza present on the dessert list and the waitress, once she had finished distributing the desserts (because the service she gave us is not a service), exhorted with annoyed voice "so the sweet pizza is finished if you want you can get another dessert or a sorbet", then a boy from our table replies to the waitress that it didn't seem right to him not to receive the dessert ordered more than 45 minutes before. The waitress responds not kindly and professionally but responds with the exact words "well, what can I do to you!" They ran out of it in the kitchen and didn't calculate the quantities properly, so I can't do anything for you." I honestly do not recommend it because even if the food is good the service will ruin the atmosphere and everything else!

06/08/2024: A lovely little place. Every time I return to "my" coast I return there to savor the colors of the sunset over the sea, the smells of home but above all the authentic flavours. Always eaten splendidly, genuine ingredients, excellent crosses between tradition and the sea. Well done

23/07/2024: Recommended for groups of children or quick and cheap school dinners, but not for spending an evening with friends amidst friendliness and professionalism, sorry for the pizza which is also good, compliments only to the pizza chef, everything is brought down by the context of the place! 14/07/2024: Friendly and very professional staff, delicious food such as the slices and pizza which are top notch, moderately average prices in a location with lots of parking spaces, the only flaw is the place which, although large, is not exactly new and a bit decadent

16/07/2024: Yesterday 12 July 2024 we were in Lanciano to see the Eucharistic miracle, so then we stopped to eat in this place which is a stone's throw from the church. Everything was good, nothing was wrong, I recommend it to everyone. Very kind owner, thank you!!!!!

28/08/2024: Terrible, to be avoided like the plague, we went for lunch, just to get something to eat, we ordered seafood salad, mixed fried fish and stuffed mussels, they served us frozen, hard and rubbery fish which made us feel ill shortly after .. I don't understand the reason to keep open a bar/restaurant that offers such poor quality. Not recommended, I give one star because otherwise Google won't accept/upload the review from me, but it deserves 0 stars
